Who has impressed you in the Euros
TheInspiration replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
You sound very positive about his future. -
Russia beating Holland by the way. Pavyluchenko looks a handy striker.
-
RIP. Very sad.
-
I'd rather we got in someone more experienced who can be a leader, but then again I've never seen this guy before.

What console is your favourite of all time?
TheInspiration replied to Wavey Davey's topic in General Chat
Ok, that's really the question I was asking - does favourite = best, and you're saying it isn't necessairly so I'll take your word for it. -
I wouldn't know. I've never had any frineds.

wrong. that's like saying the new Star Wars are better than the old ones because they have better special effects. Aye, but if you could play all the games from ypur favourite retro console on one of the current generation consoles, would you then say the newer console is better? -

Tbf, when people say their favourite consoles were the SNES, N64, Megadrive etc, do they mean that more from a nostalgic point of view? For example, Goldeneye was the best FPS ever a few years ago but it would seem outdated now. Maybe I'm wrong as the oldest console I've owned is the PSX. -

Thanks for the advice everyone. Looks like I've got a few games to get then. -

I have a place in my heart for the Gameboy Advance actually. To those with a Wii, what are your views on it and what games do you recommend? Cheers. I may be getting one to share with my sister for times like when we're not at university as it's probably what we'd both like most - loved playing the N64, but I found the Gamecube most disappointing after it's great start, despite some stunning memories of the likes of Super Smash Bros Melee. -
Your point was about the three boroughs South of the river as opposed to the two North. Ignoring the fact that North Tyneside is the 69th most deprived in the country (out of 354). If I was in the poorest 20% of people I'd not be inclined to all anyone else a scruff. see the economy tab tale of woe.... http://www.southtyneside.info/intelligence/safer/soas.asp Desolation But Newcastle are 20th. Aye but if you notice the biggest cities in the country are in the top 20, because regional capitals like Newcastle upon Tyne will attract everything. It's where la creme de la creme live, and it's also where tramps and the like live too, we can't have it all ways and this survey doesn't take everything in to account. My point was about South Tyneside overall being trampy, nothing else. Leeds, Sheffield and Bristol are bigger than Newcastle and aren't on the list tbh.

I reckon it would be much better if both teams drew and got knocked out - to see both the world cup finalists getting knocked out in the first round would be a laugh. Wouldn't put it past Romania beating Holland either.

Most impressive city when entering on the train
TheInspiration replied to bobbyshinton's topic in General Chat
I agree. I often get the train from Canterbury to Charing Cross - get to see lots of great sites as you go over the Thames etc. Much better than when I go to Victoria tbh. -
But it would be a certainty he would go back to the form that he showed for Rangers when playing in the SPL if he signed for us... 31 as well, so no youngster.

South Tyneside and Sunderland have to be up there tbh. -
I'm just wondering why it actually matters so much tbh.

I joined here around August 2005 iirc. Since then, well nothing too exciting has happened. I've continued to post every now and then but less so these days. I've gone on study A-levels and have found out I can't do English, but it's a bit late now when you've just done your English exams. Might be going to Newcastle University next year if I get the grades and also if I don't change my mind about next year in general, upon getting my results.

Congratulations. Best of luck for the future.

4-1, so almost right - Holland are looking a classy team at the moment. Hopefully they go far in this tournament as they're very entertaining also. Can't say the same about France and Italy mind.
-
Dream come true tbh.
-
Spain looking classy. Excellent hat-trick from Villa.

New Zealand's team lacks real quality. McCullum's a very good keeper and decent bat, and Oram's a very useful all-rounder, but both aren't really consistent. Both players can murder bowlers but their averages are only in the mid-30s. Vettori is decent but nothing spectacular and none of their other players are particularly good. That said, it's still good to see England doing well, but their still needs work to be done to the top order - Bell and Collingwood in particular. Broad shouldn't be outsocring them every innings, though it's got to see he has potential as an all-rounder.

The Polish striker with the assists looked quite useful also. -
Germany beating Poland 1-0. Nice assist from Miroslav Klose (born in Poland) and comfortably finished by Lukas Podolski (born in Poland).

It's obvious the mark for a C grade on a higher tier maths paper is going to be so low, because nobody who takes the paper will be aiming for a C. It's mainly for the A/A* students. But in any case, ifor people leaving school to find employment after GCSEs, should it really matter how competent they are at GCSE maths?
