  1. I urge you to make this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/gammon_and_pease_pudding_56485 Served mine with some belly pork and roast potatoes.
  2. Saw Kill List and Drive over the weekend. Both promised much but ultimately under-delivered. Drive was a slightly less moronic, the fast and the furious. Kill List just ended very badly. Disappointed.
  3. Kalamatas are good, I also like the stuffed olives. Most people start with a black olive (probably on a pizza). Little wonder people are put off cos black olives are rank. Worth looking out for a Spanish meze pack from Waitrose with manchego, olives and almonds (it's a blinding combination). Watched the Hairy Bikers last night and gonna make the gammon and pease pudding on Sunday. Looked amazing.
  4. Haven't a clue how good he is. But it has the hallmarks of one of those transfers that captures the imagination.
  5. We had grand plans before embarking on the kiddy journey: - We'd not let the child get in the way of our social lives - We'd not fill our house full of plastic noisy crap - No dummies - Breast fed All of those things went out of the window pretty quickly. I am now forever standing on plastic crappy, noisy toys. We have to rely on grandparents (300 miles away) for babysitting. The upsides are that my boy is one of the only things in life that gives me real joy.
  6. I'm taking the boy to see it next month in Reading. He's only 20 months old so not sure how likely it is he'll sit through the full show.
  7. Maybe he was giving Perch a few minutes in a defensive midfield role. Someone needs to play there for the next 5-6 weeks!!
  8. There's not half some fucktards on this board. It takes either a very good team or very good tactics to beat a full strength ManU. 10 long years its been!!! Pardew got his tactics spot on. He made sensible substitutions. As individuals every man gave very high level performances last night. Whilst as a team it was without doubt our best performance of the season.
  9. Leicester had a 6million bid accepted in the summer I think. He knocked them back. He's only got 6 months left on his deal so should be no more than 4 million.
  10. Nicky Maynard has been put up for sale. I have a mate who's Bristol City daft and swears he's the real deal.. Inexpensive, pacey, goal scorer. Worth a look?
  11. My other pet hate is selfless people, always putting other people first!! F*cking do-gooders.
  12. It narks me to see Japanese and Chinese tourists wearing dust masks. If you think the air is going to kill you, why the f*ck are you here!
  13. Agree with what Mancy says. I'd argue that as an alternative you could just ask two box to box midfielders to sit a little deeper. I suspect that Cabaye played deeper with Guthrie than with Tiote, to compensate for the fact that neither of them are great at the dirty work that Tiote clearly has a talent for.
  14. In fariness, you'd expect Tiote to make more successful passes than Vuckic. I could sit in front of the back four passing backwards and sideways under little or no pressure.
  15. He set up Ba's second goal. Looked like a really sloppy pass to me.
  16. He is a very limited footballer, and for me he will get found out at the highest level. No passing range, no pace, appalling shooting, endlessly turning and more worryingly passing blind. £20million quid (i'd bite their hands off). His gentle jog back after giving the ball away for their first goal last night was criminal.
  17. I think he's helped make us very difficult to beat. He's essentially helped Danny Simpson in the same way as Jonas has helped Raylor.
  18. He can work on his fitness, confidence and touch in training. You are right that he needs matches to complete his recovery, but that shouldn't be to the detriment of results. Obertan, and Best for that matter, helped get us in to the position where we can go 5 games without a win and still be in a respectable place at xmas.
  19. Got to say I read those quotes from Pardew on skysports and agree 100%. Ben Arfa is definitely not up to speed yet. From what we have seen, he gave the ball away far too often in daft places and we would have been further exposed in the games he hasn't played.
  20. OT I voted and was expecting to see Hamann romping away with the poll. Am I missing something with Tiote, he makes Batty look progressive. He's very effective at protecting our back 4, but Didi was head and shoulders the better player.
  21. Have a word fish. Oysters, fucking oysters. A chippy can't sell oysters. Pickled eggs at a push, but not oysters.
  22. There's a place called Micky's off Praed Street in Paddington. It's good and pretty reasonable. As featured on Heston's Blumeywatsits in search of perfection (according to the sign on the door).
