I watched 'Pursuit of Happyness' last night again. I realise this is tantamount to announcing a love of the music of Coldplay but I really like Big Will (king of the hill). The movie itself is hideously uplifting in a way only Hollywood can be. It could be a documentary re-titled "The land of opportunities - the story of the American dream". -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7947460.stm He wants stabbing in the face the evil scum sucking fucking cunt. You're going directly to hell, do not pass go, do not collect £200. -
How likely is it that 60 appearances involves a further payment? Serious question btw as I havent got a clue. If thats the reason then we really are fucked if we wont include players because they will cost us money. It's only likely because it's a nice round number. Would have thought 50 would be more likely. I would imagine that the entire management structure would be aware of the hell that would be raised if Duff sat on the bench for the remainder of the season whilst Geremi hobbled up and down the right. More likely is that they felt Geremi was more solid away from home.

In my favourite top 10 films of all time and a family "must watch" every christmas. One of Richard Curtis's finest moments. Hey, I'll stick up for Love Actually too. Lols... it's one of the few movies my wife breaks out when it's her turn to pick that doesn't make me die inside. I mean, it's a rom-com, so guys aren't supposed to like it, but it does have some pretty hilarious moments in it. Would I rather watch Memento or something? Sure, but if I have to watch a rom-com, it'd be that one before anything else. You want to talk about an entire genre of film that is at least 99% shite? Rom-coms. American action movies are a close second. Rom Coms are great. The Apartment Groundhog Day Tootsie Eternal Sunshine His Girl Friday Annie Hall Manhattan My Sassy Girl True Romance Princess Bride etc. I'm amazed anyone would consider Love Actually before any of those. True Romance is a romantic comedy? True Romance as in Clarence and Alabama? True Romance as in, "It's better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it?" True Romance? That's not a fucking romantic comedy. I think you missed the memo. It's been re-classified, along with Natural Born Killers and Schindlers List... -

My missus was bulemic and went to the doctor who said: "It's a phase" - that was after 10 years of vomming twice a day. That's shows a complete lack of knowledge of the condition to me. That was down south, when we were still in Newcastle she received much better treatment, but it seems that is not the reality for most. I'm not fat enough to have experience of the other end of the scale, but it seems to me that someone going in to a doctors with morbid obesity is more likely to be given a structured plan for weightloss, councilling, gastric band. Actual support rather than a 'get over it love'.

There was an interesting debate on Five Live yesterday about Bulemia/Anerexia (sp). Apparently most people who go to see their doctor get short shrift (It's a phase/take some anti-depressants and come back in 6 weeks). Seems to me that it's no different to someone stuffing their fat faces until they need a winch to get out of bed. Obesity is somehow an acceptable condition whereas the other end of the eating scale is like the dark arts!!

Went out to dinner at that underground Jazz place at the top of Dean St with Saha, Domi and Charvet (amongst others). Told Charvet I was a student and he gave me £40... Later found out he was off his face, had no recollection of doing so and didn't have any money for the cab home, so his squeeze at the time had to pay!! I got a lift home in Louis Saha's VW Golf. Played truth or dare with Steve Howey and Disco 'Des' Hamilton (amongst others). Played poker with Gazza's brother and Keith "what am i supposed to do wit fourteen grand a week" O'Neill and others. Oh and shared a brandy and cigar with Big Dunc...

What's stranger is that last week super-sub Haris Vukcic didn't even make the bench.

Exactly. I'm not actually sure what people are expecting from Ameobi, he's not going to run past people, he's not going to play on the shoulder of the last defender. He's a target man, not a fantastic one, but the only fit one we have and at the moment we don't have the players to play any other way. And he actually created the best chance of the game.

There was a bit of 'heated debate' about that in L7. Some young lads were booing Shola off at the substitution and giving him stick. A bloke in front of me had a go at them (rightly so), basically saying that we are there to support the team and what good does it do booing a player who we all know isn't good enough, but might have to put up with for the next few games until Martins/Viduka/Smith are fully fit. Another bloke then came down from further up to remonstrate with him. It was more entertaining than what was happening on the pitch. Martins again showed an appalling positional sense. There were two occasions when Taylor cleared a ball under pressure in to the right hand channel from right back - Martins was standing 50 yards away in the left hand channel. How is that Martins fault? Is he supposed to be telepathic and know where taylor is going to hoof the ball to before hes done it? Surely it would have made more sense for taylor to have a look first and try to switch it? When you are playing up front by yourself, your main job is to recieve and hold on to the ball, before bringing the ball in to play, or to relieve the pressure. When your right back is under pressure the obvious out ball is the channel. He's never going to play 80 yard cross field balls across a dozen players. It's the strikers responsibility to predict where the ball is likely to go and move across.

I thought Butt was excellent. Ryan Taylor had a good game too.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7899171.stm The mystery of Ireland's worst driver Details of how police in the Irish Republic finally caught up with the country's most reckless driver have emerged, the Irish Times reports. He had been wanted from counties Cork to Cavan after racking up scores of speeding tickets and parking fines. However, each time the serial offender was stopped he managed to evade justice by giving a different address. But then his cover was blown. It was discovered that the man every member of the Irish police's rank and file had been looking for - a Mr Prawo Jazdy - wasn't exactly the sort of prized villain whose apprehension leads to an officer winning an award. In fact he wasn't even human. "Prawo Jazdy is actually the Polish for driving licence and not the first and surname on the licence," read a letter from June 2007 from an officer working within the Garda's traffic division. "Having noticed this, I decided to check and see how many times officers have made this mistake. "It is quite embarrassing to see that the system has created Prawo Jazdy as a person with over 50 identities." The officer added that the "mistake" needed to be rectified immediately and asked that a memo be circulated throughout the force. In a bid to avoid similar mistakes being made in future relevant guidelines were also amended. And if nothing else is learnt from this driving-related debacle, Irish police officers should now know at least two words of Polish. As for the seemingly elusive Mr Prawo Jazdy, he has presumably become a cult hero among Ireland's largest immigrant population.

Swap BS for Kendricks and that sounds like a winner for me. Lots of lime though! Tanqueray tbh. I like that too and I'd be lying if I said I'm enough of a connoisseur to really distinguish between them, I like them both equally only slightly ahead of Bombay Sapphire and a million leagues ahead of the bog standard Gordons and Beefeater etc.

Watched the new Indiana Jones movie, it's called the 'Radiers of the lost movie franchise', or something. It was ghastly. Not sure I saw one scene that didn't look entirely CGI.
