And it's Martins with the reach-around.
-
Looks like we're still in for him. Bye Bye Celestine.
-
This is great stuff. Two defenders confirmed in a day. One a Spanish U21 international, whose club REALLY don't want him sold, and a CL level Centre half with bags of experience. Get in.
-
Well, well, well, what other position do we REALLY need to fill for the beginning of the season now then?
-
So we've just signed Villareal left back Diaz. FM anyone?
-
Apparently this has stalled? Anyone got anymore info?
-
Ronaldinho. What? Window's still open.
-
Hurray... The first time I was ITK in advance about something!
-
He seems keen to play for us as well. If we get the Seville defender, forgotten his name, and Cacapa, I'll be a happy bunny.
-
Not at all. But inexperience in the Premiership isn't really what we wnat now, but we are running out of options, agreed.
-
Your point? Would you prefer panic buys and team full of players that you've never heard of and are unproven in the Premiership that all speak a different language?
-
Can he play left back?
-
And have you heard of any of them bar Elano?

Newcastle’s £6m offer for Smith holds the key to Dyer departure
Glen replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, your post is. Newcastle sign Alan Smith instead of left back. Allardyce gushes "Who needs a left back? We've got Smithy!" Or not, eh? Way to be a dick. Again. it is fucking embarassing that we can attract an English International striker, but can't get a decent international left back. -
He was more effective when played on the left side behind Carroll I thought.

I would reckon he sees him as a straight up replacement for Dyer. I guess playing behind the front two or on the wing. Neither positions we're particularly short on. -
Biggmarket.

Newcastle put Martins on sale to raise transfer cash

Not happy about this if it's true like. -
I suppose nobody else noticed Carroll look up to see where the ball was and then hit the deck like he'd been shot in the face as well then? He's no Steven Taylor mind you.
-
Well from 50 feet away it looked like Carroll lunged in for the ball at the last second for a ball that Buffon was convinced was his. You could say that that shows great commitment, and determination, and I'd be inclined to agree, but BS was just saying not 3 days ago that the reason Stevie Taylor got injured was because he threw himself into a challenge that he shouldn't have. I remember watching Carroll charging towards the box and thinking that Buffon was a dead cert to come out of the challenge better off, and although he looks too high, the whole point of a goalkeeper rushing to the edge of the box is to make himself bigger and cut down the angle... if that had been Shay, I don't believe that some people on here wouldn't be saying that the Goalkeeper had commited himsef to the challenge and couldn't back out.
-
Fuck off. Carroll bottled it, played the ball too far in front of him, and Buffon taught him an embarassing and worthwhile lesson. Fuck off? A great comment to make before challenging a statement. Do you kiss your mother with those lips? Indeed. And she appears to have more of an idea about refereeing decisions than some people on here, who shall remain nameless. Of course.
