I think the challenge we have is that we had years of Ashley's cronies telling us "we were after a player but we couldn't quite get it over the line..." so disappointment is entrenched and expected, and likely intensified by virtue we had to satisfy PSR for the past couple of years. I'm really hopeful we're going to be pleasantly surprised come the end of the summer.

Quite a lot of responses suggested the small print on sign-up advised you had to opt-out of auto renewal and that they provided a date on when this would happen. 12 monthly memberships are seemingly not the done thing these days, it’s all about auto-renewing subscription services.

Yep - but as with any hardware provider, they'll do everything they can to drive you to their own solutions.

They're all running a similar business model tbf. Incentivise you choosing their technology by offering free storage up until a threshold where it's more painful to move your data than start paying for it and then start to ramp up the costs. Google are amongst the worst - particularly their email platform.

I'll wait to see the real thing before passing judgement, but sometimes the simplest designs are the best.
