I used to think I could find another superfan as hilarious and, in equal measure, despisable as Goldbridge & Ty, but this fella hits the mark - especially after his Isak tirades of the summer. Stuff you love to see

Without sounding callous, it does feel like it’s being dragged out as an excuse for their god awful performances and everyone seems to lap it up as acceptable. They’re professionals man and whilst I appreciate a football squad is close knit, it’s also a transient profession so they should be treating it psychologically as if he’s just moved on to a new club. Keep bringing it up is disrespectful both to his memory, but also to those players out there who’ve lost team mates during a match, and got on with it - if anything using the tragedy to galvanise them.

They’re on a different level this season. That corner from Saka was world class and he’s not even the best corner taker at their club. Embarrassment of riches.

We were complacent with our finishing first half. Gordon should have had at least one - probably two. As much as Pope was an absolute calamity for their equaliser, he wasn’t the lone issue.

They’ve missed a trick with this ‘Mansion Tax’. For starters it’s a flat rate charge rather than a percentage charge. Anything valued over £2m will be subject to a surcharge of £2,500 p.a. rising to £7,500 p.a. for those valued over £7,500. It’s estimated to generate £400m p.a. from 2028. What’s the implementation costs of this going to be? There’s around 140,000 properties needing to be valued. One the implementation costs are taken into account I’m not sure it’s going to raise much in its first few years of operation. My cynical brain tells me it’s a ‘soak the rich’ measure designed to appease the rank and file of the Labour Party, particularly the back benchers.

He’s getting fired after this, surely?! Big Ange is available … so is Steve Bruce In other news … Isak had a shot on target!

Aye, fiscal responsibility IS important. I’m going to be personally worse off as a result of the budget but I’m accepting of it because it’s necessary. And it’s purely because of the Tories that were in this fucking mess so Badenoch can go fuck herself, stupid bitch.

It’s not the result last night that pissed me off, it was the manner in which it happened. The complacency for 4 minutes cost us. Perhaps we’d overachieved to take the lead but we took our eye off the ball for 5 mins and it was an absolute turnaround. And somehow, despite there being 40 mins to play i felt we weren’t going to get back to it. Sure, when you take a step back and look at it it’s something to be proud off that we can play on that stage and compete. I think I’m in part frustrated that we had the chances to have a decent lead by half time and didn’t take them.

Depends if your definition of 'working people' matches what Labour consider it to be. Salary under £45K isn't it? Agree with Renton's synopsis.

Alright, Roy Keane...

If only we’d been presented with a gold opportunity to sign Schmeichel 3-4 years before he signed for Man Utd, eh?

IIRC Hooper played a couple times against us for Liverpool before he came to us and was class. I think half his challenge was that Pav was a cult hero and the fans didn't take well to him being replaced by someone who wasn't significantly better. Hooper wasn't anything special, but he wasn't as bad as was made out. When you think about it he was one of only two keepers purchased by Keegan in 5 years - the other being Hislop.

The OBR have mistakenly revealed the full details of the budget BEFORE Reeves speaks in the Commons.

It's comparing apples and pears somewhat. The qualities required of a goalkeeper these days are quite different from 30 years ago. A keeper these days is expected to be the deepest lying player who happens to be allowed to use his hands if he's in the penalty area. Back in the 90s they were expected to use their feet only for goal kicks, drop kicks and booting the thing as hard as they fucking could any if it ended up with one of our own players, bonus! Pope's style is far more aligned to that style of play. Conversely, the idea of John fucking Burridge trying to play with the ball at his feet is utterly terrifying
