Not sure if this has been picked up already but… they’re having our sloppy seconds
-
On a serious note, let’s hope the lad recovers well. Very reminiscent of Given’s injury v West Ham all those years ago.
-
Glad you’ve conceded
-
Well now you’re talking about percentage of risk. That’s distinctly different to my point being invalid. Look we disagree on it, and unlikely to get to a mutual agreement. It’s not an exact science and can be looked at from different points of view.
-
Part of me hopes they do spawn it … and have 38 games of utter pain next year.
-
Disagree that it invalidates the point.
-
Play to the whistle.
-
And your logic only holds because it’s not involving a Newcastle player. if that was Isak in hospital now there’s no way all of you would have the attitude “tough shit, it’s one of them things”
-
I’d rather have 100 PL goals chalked off than see one Newcastle player hospitalised because of the linesman going too late with his flag.
-
In any of you watched that game, you’ll know the offside was blindingly obvious. That’s the point I’m making. When it’s too close to call, let the phase play out. But everyone in the stadium knew it was offside. The commentators even said “the flag will go up here”. Stupid rule. As Alex says there’s no perfect solution and they really need to see what can be achieved with AI / semiautomation.

I’ve no issue with the lino, it’s the ruling. It’s fucking stupid.

Yeah I don’t blame the lino, she was simple applying the rules. Fucking stupid rule though. Don’t see hrs benefit aside from winding people up. -
Given the season they’ve had it’ll be a travesty if Sheff Utd don’t make it. Reminds me of the only season when we did take part in the playoffs though, be just like Sunderland to spawn it into the top league.

As I said in the other thread, they need to bin off this stupid version of the offside rule. It was so clearly offside yet they let the phase of play continue. It was only a matter of time before someone got seriously hurt in this phase of play, and so easily avoidable. -
Taiwo Awoniyi had been placed in an induced coma following his collision with the post on Sunday. They need to bin off this stupid offside rule where they don’t flag immediately. It was only a matter of time before a serious injury was sustained in this period of play. It was so easily avoidable. Get well soon, fella.

It'll be interesting to see how they manage this offer they made, not 2 weeks ago! Evertonians Offered Chance To Purchase Goodison Park Seats - Everton Football Club -
I think the electorate very much do understand the issues that are important to them. What a good proportion don't understand is how those issues tie into overall rhetoric. Take Brexit for instance - those who voted for it principally fell into 3 categories: - Those for who immigration was an issue. - Those who were fed up of legislation being made outside of British Parliament. - Those who believed it would improve British trade. It didn't deliver for any of them! The question I have is what is Starmer ultimately trying to achieve? If it's zero net-migration at all costs, then he's implementing Reform policy, which I just cannot get my head around. It was noticeable that when they asked Farage for a soundbite on it, he didn't say he was pleased to hear it; he said he was flattered to hear it.

Given how it's an absolute dump, I strongly suspect the demolition costs far outweigh the running costs. -

Goodison Park no longer to be demolished - they're going to make it the permanent home of Everton's women's team. At least the quality of football will improve. -
