The ultimate Poundland purchase. Poundland sold for £1 with shops set to close - BBC News
-
Yeah this looks awful. Was headed for Gatwick apparently - around 50 British people on board.
-
TBH do you expect both to be as dogshit next season as they have been this? That's not bed wetting, it's being realistic. Spurs have CL money and, if they secure Frank, a considerably better manager than they had - I expect they'll be in the top 10. Man United just seem to be able to piss money up the wall - maybe they're taking a massive gamble in that'll it'll pay off over the next 3 seasons but irrespective, I don't expect they'll be anywhere near as shit as they have been this campaign.

Protests have been lodged before any club announcements have been made. Newcastle United rumoured St James' Park stadium plans attract petition - BBC News

Isn't the purpose to identify who the most skillful players we've had though? Admittedly Ginola could be a pain in the arse, but in terms of being skillful, there's not many got close. Anyway, he's 3rd.
-
Yep - both I'd have in ahead of HBA
-
Oh I'm not sure. As tremendous players as they were, HBA in 5th and Waddle in 4th are definitely up for debate Top 3 surely has to be Beardsley, Gascoigne and Ginola in no particular order.
-
Vitor Baia ... he's a goalkeeper
-
Maybe we need to sign Chris Sutton?
-
Wasn't he part of the reason Jack Charlton walked after a year? Pretty certain I read Gates had been identified as the replacement for Waddle but in the end, he chose to go to the Mackems. SBR claimed he was one of the most underrated players he had at Ipswich.

I'm casting my mind back many years, but I don't recall there being any coding to do in the early days. It was still very much plug and play. I wonder if it's the product of multiple upgrades along the way and the interface simply hasn't kept up with some of the older features? Anyway back to the funding - good to know but if there is the need to dip our hands in our pockets, I, and I'm sure many of the other regulars will be only too happy to help - this place really is a much needed departure from the shite that is everyday life - cheers Andrew, massively appreciate what you do.

About as professional as you could expect from one of them. Rent free in their heads we are.
-
Brian Wilson. No more Good Vibrations.
-
Probably a goalkeeper; definitely NOT a RW.
-
On a serious note @Andrew I know you said it's a matter of you needing to find time to do some much-needed maintenance / upgrade ... is there any need for us to help fund this or is it in hand?
-
I think Elanga is immense. Gives us the pace we need on the right

Postecoglou sacked -
Retained players list has been announced. Wilson & Ruddy both out of contract but the club is in discussions with both and new contracts could still be agreed. Jamal Lewis is being released. Llloyd Kelly's permanent transfer to Juventus is confirmed. All other first team players retained. Gillespie has had the option to retain activiated.

Just how the fuck is this worked out?!
-
Yeah everyone has a price. But I think our position on full backs and the versatility of Tino means he'll be considered too high an investment - even for Man City.
-
You're desperate for this to be the case, aren't you? Let's just say if Livramento goes, it'll have to be a massive fee. We paid over £30m for him and he's since become a mainstay and broken into the England team. Anything short of £75m will likely be laughed off.

My old man regularly used to make work trips up to Glasgow and went A69 / A74(M). He went up there the first week of January 1989 and I remember him telling us the crater was considerably bigger than the pictures on the TV were suggesting. He said the whole appearance of Sherwood Crescent was what he imagined the Blitz must have been like. That following weekend the British Midland landed on the M1 and my Mam said she was never going in a plane again! We were in Majorca the following month!

I watched that the other night. I was 11 at the time and remember it vividly. What I wasn't aware of at the time was the flight path was over the village where my grandparents lived. Had it exploded just 5 minutes earlier it'd have been dropping there rather then Lockerbie.

Some of it is. Some of it definitely isn't
