I've just had a shifty around Play.com at some of the games coming out of the Wii... Asterix at the Olympics looks fucking class like And I see they're bringing out a new version of Mario Kart!

Jo was going to get that for when her nephews are around because it's supposed to grade the questions by your age but I heard that the game wants the kids to answer quite quickly and therefore mostly they run out of time - that true?

Exactly what I was thinking... although their support has never been one to be called into question. Often gets forgotten but its not that long ago that Citeh were in the third tier of English football and it was for more than one season IIRC.

Yeah the iPod is absolutely fine, the issue is with your PC. If you google the issue you'll find lots of different ways of trying to fix it but none of them worked for me. In the end, the machine was that knackered that it needed a rebuild anyway...

Reports from Hull suggest it's caused around a milllion pounds worth of improvements

Fuck me, there's a nightmare of the past..... Guaranteed to ensure a fine degree of regurgitation within a couple of hours.

Was hoping that it would have that kind of reaction... 1987/88 was the first season I was a season ticket holder. I'd been to games the season before but only when we could afford to get tickets. I'd love to find more clips of that era.... if anyone finds any, make sure it's posted (and I bet 2J samples some of that footage of Gazza showboating ) Aye, 87/88 was when I started going in dribs and drabs, and then the 'wonderful' 88/89 season was when I started to go 'propa' so to speak i.e the Nova let kids in. Ye naa the first game of the next season at home, we'd lost 4-0 at the blue dippers the week before, but honestly I reckon up to when the ground was enclosed, the atmosphere that day against Spurs was completely unbelievable. FAT BOY FAT BOY WHATS THE SCORE? Just a crying shame we came out in the second half and capitulated and they salvaged a draw though wasn't it?

Just because it was Bobby Moore at a world cup doesn't make it any less awesome of challenge. It's just that it's had greater publicity than those in the premiership. Surely by that definition though, it is other challenges which are under-rated rather than that one being over rated? Is the second goal against England in the 1986 QF over-rated because it was scored by Maradona in a World Cup?

Thought you might get excited Was searching through YouTube and found it... I was there too and O'Neill was indeed class.. I tell you what though they got the last laugh for us taking the piss, next time we played them on the plakka pitch they done us 4-0. Nah mate it was the other way around (and Charles Harrison makes comment on it during this clip). They stuffed us at Kenilworth Road when we were wearing some bizarre blue away strip devoid of club and sponsor logos apparently. Word has it that they were beating us 4-0 and started to take the piss by doing the keepy-ups and this was our revenge hence the gamesmanship. Not that many of us would be able to tell the tale like, Luton didn't let in away fans, did they?

Fuck off It was a superbly timed challenge against arguably the finest footballer this planet has ever seen (not my view I hasten to add) but still to tackle a player of Pele's ability with such precision and fairly was world class. Bobby Moore was at his peak in 1970, despite the arrest which was without doubt a disgraceful attempt at sabbotage. Shame the rest of the England squad didn't follow suit because IMO, we were a stronger force than 4 years previous. Was Jairzinho the greatest player ever like Craig? Forgot it was him and not Pele - it's with us going on about the save..... And Dan - yeah, I do think it was a pretty amazing challenge - care to name a better one?

I'd forgotten that it was the season when the Milburn was being built.. Wondered where the players were off too at the final whistle Quality stuff though, even Ned Kelly getting on the ball juggling...
-
I remember this one very well..... Steve Foster wasn't too pleased with Kenny IIRC
-
Given? A Save? Would have to have been years back. Quite a few of his here: He might want to forget this one however.... (IIRC, this was very soon after we'd signed him and I remember thinking we'd got yet another keeper who showed promise until he pulled on our shirt - thank god he proved me wrong!)
-
I had the same problem with mine.... think it was down to the USB drivers on my PC because my flash memory sticks weren't working either. Tried hacking the drivers and deleting all references in the registry but no joy. Got fed up and formatted my PC in the end and, lo and behold, itunes started working fine.

I missed that bit - soz Stevie

Andreas Anderson have a split personality or something? Quite amazed that with all the loan signings mentioned that no-one has dragged the name of Paul Moran up. On loan from Spurs, mates with Gascoigne (say no more) who took him out on the town on the Friday night before the match.... He was still fucking pissed come kick-off. Jim Smith gave him 45 minutes before promptly telling him to fuck off back to London. The shittest of all the shite tbh
-
Dudek pulled of an amazing save in the CL final IIRC (although it was probably more luck than judgement). Jim Montgomery's for the Mackems in '73 was fucking class too...

The Partizan Belgrade match... First match in years where it seemed some of players weren't arsed. Been downhill ever since then really.
