I see they've seen sense about the captaincy... Just because Sven hands the captaincy to Owen in Beckham's absence, doesn't mean the same should apply at club level. Owen - awesome striker, but not a skipper to me. Parker is the natural successor and despite the fishing UM is doing, I think Scott was awesome at times yesterday!

The bloke is obviously out of touch with what the fans want and more disturbingly seems intent on refusing to even consider a man who's reputation goes before him.... The only excusable explanation I can think of is that Shepherd already has his new manager signed and sealed and is about to announce him (something which has been rumoured) That being said, Shepherd can be totally excused because he backs his managers financially!

I remember someone once having a fit at a match when I was sat in the East Stand. Cos the bloke went into spasms, the paramedics couldn't shift him and the had to work on him in the footwells - fucking grim!!
