1. very sad to hear the news on the way home from work. Saw Ronnie Corbett pick up a gong for the 2 of them a few weeks back and noticed he wasnt there - thought then that there might be something up. An absolute comedy genius without a doubt

tbh amnesty

seriously AF, any chance of hearing some of this stuff you've been writing? What do you play and what is your style? I was in the music industry and did release a record on limited release but i didnt get any further than that. Sacked it and just play for myself now. No harm in following a dream but sometimes you've got to realise that one day you're just never going to make it
3. might be useful pasting this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en list of downloadable videos of a number of titles
4. just watched that vid - its almost lifelike. Usually when these consoles appear, the early development of games isnt a great deal better than the later games of the generation before but you've got to say that these are far far better than whats around at the moment.
5. apparently theyre developing pro evo for release for spring 2006. I think everything is working to the xbox's advantage - timing of release, cost and number of titles (tipped to have more than the ps3 until 2008) so could see a shift over to Microsoft for this generation of consoles
6. if you've got any more or do any more in the future, put them up on here - id be interested to listen
7. Have you got yours pre-ordered?
8. looks good. Some clever marketing by xbox to get the console out way before Sony get the ps3 out. Im thinking about buying a 360 but dont know whether just to hang on and wait until the ps3 comes out.
9. just had a listen mate, and im impressed with your mixing skills. How long you been doing it? Im no DJ myself but used to be into the scene a few years back and being a musician i have an ear for rhythm. Ive heard much worse DJs being employed in various bars up and down the country - you want to get urself a job doing it. Its good money

Squash

Ive been thinking of a hi energy sport to take up and i was thinking about Squash. However ive no idea of the rules (i understand its not simply hitting a ball against a wall). Anyone play here and care to give me a simple run down? Is it any good or does it get boring? I only ever seem to see it on TV on programmes where businessmen wind down after work.
12. This has to be cursed, theres no other club in the premiership with an injury record like ours. We spend all this money on a first 11 and end up playing with the reserves.
13. sounds like he's got his head screwed on - if he carries on im sure he'll go far.
14. Ill second the Editors album as well as Maximo Park. New David Gray one is good also
15. The prem is becoming too predictable of late tho - or it could be the fact that our "glory" years of the nineties have long gone and our best hope is to get into Europe.
16. i dislike Boro more than i dislike Sun'lund purely because ive been to school with Boro fans and worked with them too. Started to work with Sun'lun fans now tho so will be interesting to see whether my outlook changes. Sun'lun are at least a fairly big team whereas Boro are just playing at it.
17. too old now to be considered for the premiership. If he was that good he'd have been picked up by a prem club at 22-23. Sounds like just a newsfiller.
18. nothing is ever Black and White Im a little concerned by the police bashing on this board of late
19. aye dont like winter. I reckon SAD affects me more than i care to let on. Im already getting up and its dark.
20. The cops get a bad deal because of word of mouth IMO. Someone may get a hard time by one cop without giving the whole story - e.g someone gets "a good kicking" by a cop meaning that theyve been hit with the baton a few times, possibly punched or struck in some manner. What they didnt tell was that theyve resisted or even had a go themselves. This then gets passed on and it gets out of hand. In every job you get good and bad, and the problem is weeding out bad cops out of the job. You will get cops on the Metro with an obligation to act if they come against any aggro. They get free Metro travel in return for their services when required. A lot of the time it comes down to manpower too
21. Got a few games which ive not used in a while now and looking to trade them in as it seems too much hassle to bother we ebay for the odd quid here and there. Got Medal of Honor frontline and Rising sun, PES3 and NFSU2 to get rid of
22. Agree with that, if the law could sort them they wouldnt be doing it in the first place. Mate of mine went to the trouble of prosecuting a few years ago and had his name and address read out in court, had the rest of the family threatening to burn down his house etc. It's not worth the aggro for you. When I was a kid I was legally threatened by a cop if I wouldn't go to court about something I saw, I told him to get fucked and luckily my mother stood by me. Only thing worse than the charvers is the cops. 34483 aye, all bastards! still the first person you will ring when your car gets nicked 34861 If it's a neccessity for the insurance paper work then yes. Honestly, why would you ring the cops when someone breaks the law? 34868 Bit of harsh criticism is it not? Seem to be a fair few anti-cop posters on here. Have you all got something to hide??
23. Ive learnt something about this subculture the last few days - it seems that the common theme among many of those "charvers" who cause trouble (not all do - some just want to look "cool" wearing the clothing?!) is their background. Many come from poor families or from care homes where serial offenders of an older age mix with impressionable kids who then go on to develop into offenders themselves. A lack of attention to education from the family develops into a lack of education, in turn boredom influences these youngsters into committing crime for a buzz. Many turn to drugs and one of the most common is Ecstasy. Mixed with booze, its a combination to fear when these people are walking the streets. Its amazing to see where the morals of these kids lie and listening to some, you wouldnt believe what they consider immoral considering the crimes which they have committed. Many of us dont see the world in which these kids live, because its swept under the carpet and isolated to troublesome estates. However its alarming to think that these kids will have children of their own who through a lack of care, will also turn out the same way. Its not just the latest generation to blame, generations of neglect have led to this happening.
24. on a few of the other threads we have harped on about Souness hanging by a thread, with every game being his last. We've seen an awful overall performance end in 3 goals and 3 points. If Souness does go before the end of the season though, who could or would want to replace him? When we bring in new managers, they usually clear out many of the players from the previous regime - something which couldnt be done with a team that has been assembled over the last 12 months. Who would be the possible candidates?
