  1. But sometimes clubs get a bounce from good results in the cup.
  2. Pleased with that. Good marker as well. Hope Hull put out a strong side so we can see how we fare.
  3. Hard to keep up with the amount of games we are playing, no wonder players are getting rotated. Its a positive that we keep getting wins even with rotation and when the games aren't necessarily going for us.
  4. At least by giving Southgate a few games for England, it gives them time to find out who else has got their fingers dirty in all of this. There'll be quite a few out there worried at the moment. Article doesn't mention names but I reckon we will see those implicated coming out to make statements just to try and bat them off. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/27/exclusive-eight-premier-league-managers-took-transfer-bungs-clai/amp/?client=ms-android-om-lge
  5. Telegraph is running stories all week on managers. Apparently according to SSN they have another 8 managers, 6 of them English and 2 former international managers who they have stung. The FA might have a bigger problem in filling the position of it includes any other candidates.
  6. The way he's behaved is the measure of him. I bet Everton think they've dodged a bullet now. Like .com has mentioned, he seemed to like the idea of going to North London, just not Spurs.
  7. That Sissoko looks a player. If only that bag of shit namesake we have was as good as him..
  8. Thing is, Rafa will negotiate another contract so it'll be just as easy for Ashley to put in a clause that says they must be promoted at the end of the season.
  9. Just received the club statement from Charnley. Was hoping that he would announce his immediate resignation in it but no such luck.
  10. Is everyone ignoring JK and Houghton's stats? We are comparing Rafa to Keegan and SBR but those stats surprise me. Whats the win loss points ratio of the same?
  11. Well after a thoroughly miserable season, I think the last rites have been read. We need a very unlikely set of results to keep us up. Im gutted that we have seen glimpses all too late of what the team can do, which is why this result pisses me off so much! I very much doubt Rafa will be here next season but i can't bear to think of who will come in. I expect Ashley to make a fuck up of the next appointment. The only silver lining from all of this is that we should see a winning team again! Really though, a club with this support and history shouldn't be scratching around the 2nd tier.
  12. Yup 2 points this week that I didn't expect. Let's just hope the next 2 we can get 6. That'll give us more than a fighting chance. Wasn't it spurs on the last day of the season that we lost the title? If so maybe we can influence their fate
  13. Real good battling performance and I think everyone deserves credit for it. Thought the back 4 coped well and there appeared to be plenty communication between them. Sissoko showed his strength and Townsend continues to show that he's a player who can influence a game. Colback still frustrates as he gives it up without pressure. Cisse did ok first half.
  14. Yeah I think we will be lucky to get another 6 points out of the remaining games but you never know. Mackems still hold the cards unfortunately
  15. Given that this may come down to GD, I say we push for a second. It'll do good for morale too.
  16. This is one of the few games I've not seen this season and it sounds like it's going our way at the moment so I'll not break the curse.
  17. Got no stream (mobile only) and got no radio so keep it coming gents. Who scored?
  18. Its like Gini and Sissoko have had a spell cast upon them. Sissoko hasn't always been this shit, and likewise Gini was weighing in with 9 goals, yet he's just gone off the boil. 6 points from Norwich and Sunderland would be the perfect scenario but we are going to need to find a win or a few draws elsewhere to see us safe. Its a very big ask to transform a team so short of confidence
  19. Is Cisse fit? He wouldn't recognise the offside rule if he was slapped around the face by it, but he does know where the net is. I can't see where the goals are going to come from to keep us up. Im not a fan of 1 up front as I think it stifles the midfield unless you've got players with high energy who can get up and down the pitch. I don't think we see enough of that when we break. Confidence is a big part of any team and it's clear from Lascelles to Sissoko that they've lost it in their heads. That's the biggest challenge, to give them confidence that they're not going to be beaten every time they lose the ball. The amount of silly safe passes Lascelles made across the face of goal when under no threat just to get rid of it was ridiculous.
  20. Sky commentators....Leicester pick it up at the half way line and they get all excited as if they're about to score at any opportunity.
  21. We've lost the spark we had after the Anita sub.
