Thanks for posting. What a mad player he was for us. Great at times though. Nice to see they're still using VHS up in Scotland..!

Interesting thread. He certainly took the wind out of our sails. I always thought Gullit deserved a lot more praise for not taking a pay out. Held his hands up and went. 10 times the man Souness or Allardyce will ever be IMO.

Get on with it you dull holy twat. -
Are you all on Twitter then? I saw you were following me and I was already following you but I hardly ever go on there. I haven't really got the hang of it tbh...!

Let's hope you never play for Athletico Madrid....your Twitter will go ballistic. Are you in the South West of France? See when I went to Bilbao in 1994, best people I've ever met, and I mean ever. Could not buy your own beer all day man. They have a little toon fan club in the town on the back of our visit there, so we must've made a big impression on them too. I can believe it! I've hardly met any French people I didn't like, not saying there aren't any but if you don't come across like a tit they're pretty easy going. I'm more towards the South coast, people here are nice and friendly although I pretty much work all the time so I've not really met that many. Sad I know. They're mostly OM fans around here, but it's mainly a rugby area. I know where you mean though. I went busking around Biarritz and San Sebastian a long time ago and met some great people.

:spiderman: :guti: OH whatever the fuck that smiley is.... -
Capello clearly angling for the Chelsea job tbh.
-
The sponsorship value is pretty much the sole reason he bought us. His business (SD) is doing well again, he pretty much wants to keep us stable without investing much. Sad really cause I think ultimately he'd do even better with SD if we were challenging for stuff.
-
Freefall tbh. Our mid table position has flattered us for a few weeks where we've dropped points. Nothing in it though and confidence is momentum. Help us Obi Ben Arfa Kenobi .... you're our only hope....

Can see Real doing it for no other reason than Mourinho seems to be quite good at this.

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll

Before long I'm going to code it that both of you have each other on ignore and both don't have the ability to change it. It'll mean sticking the board in "must log on to read" mode but it'll be fucking worth it to dispense with this sort of tedious shite. I'm ignoring him and he still goes on the troll about Shepherd, and yet I'm still getting put in the same bracket as him. He still bangs on about me even though I've told him I'm ignoring him, he's fucking obsessed. It kills him that he can't have the argument. I understand you have a relaxed banning policy and all that but I'm clearly not the problem and it's clearly not going to go away. There's a certain irony in repeatedly telling someone you're ignoring them. It winds him up something rotten though, so it's fair game. It's boring mate. -
Nor can you hurry love.

Rather have Ashley tbh. It's not anywhere near as exciting as I'd hoped it would be but I do think there are way worse owners out there.

NEWCASTLE HIT BACK IN NEW KEVIN KEEGAN ROW
Asprilla replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Leazes is more right than not. Forget the obvious criticisms you can place with Shepherd/Hall for one minute and ask yourself how you think any team can break into the top 4 without spending big. If you borrow too much in any walk of life you'll hit the skids eventually. Perhaps we were at that point when Ashley came in, perhaps not....it's a cyclical argument based on opinion because we'll never know what would have happened either way. The fact is though, although I think Ashley is getting some things right (we aren't wasting money on shit/past it players on huge contracts) he's also never going to do anything more than fluke a top 6 finish once in a blue moon if he's not prepared to invest in the best players. It's that simple. Selling Andy Carroll made us weaker and Liverpool stronger. He didn't need to sell him financially. He wanted to.
