The recent news on inflation doesn't really back that up. I thought the spiralling deflation we were going to hit may cause that as well as the quantative easing and zero gold reserves to prop up the currency Only going off my sketchy knowledge of these things and GCSE history but there was hyper-inflation in the Weimar Republic which meant your money's worth less by the day and any period of deflation will mean your money's worth more, no? Aye the products you buy are cheaper but the value of the currency also goes down (apparently) this leads to nobody buying anything and eventually the whole thing collapses i suppose he reckoned this may cause the hyper inflation - like i say he was a professor of something and seemed to know his way round it - once you wade through the government spin there are some pretty clever blokes sketching out some very scary scenarios

Well i am no expert on this but i was listening to a bloke on the radio who seemed pretty clever and he reckons we are entering a period similar to the weimar republic in germany so i have gone and bought a wheel barrow because thats what they used to carry their german marks around in when they went to the shop- cos their money was worth fuck all

Thats him- and its a fuckin good foto cos he was as aesthetically challenged as could be possible

Brendan Foster? Kenny Burns. Frank Worthington. Carlton Palmer. The ugly leeds united goal keeper of the early seventies team used to give me nightmares as a kid - face like a chimps arse - didn't like bremner or stuart pearson
-
I think you may find that every other team in the division treats playing us like a cup final and takes enormous enjoyment in removing our scalp - it is so dependent on the manager and how clever he is in the transfer market - therefore i would consider us fucked for a few years

Official Match thread: Newcastle United Vs Arsenal
Norbert Colon replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
It was only 2 instead of 1 because he made a good block in the first half, he really was utterly wank today like. every single cross, through ball etc... he was completely in no mans land, nowhere near anyone! Its like when you play football in school and theres that one skinny scared kid who never gets stuck in. Only with better hair. Exactly - I don't think i have ever watched a central defender with less positional sense than him - he made taylor look like fuckin beckenbauer - consistently in the wrong place at the wrong time and couldn't even be arsed to try - pathetic - the likes of the two taylors and enrique may not have the talent but i think Colloccini commits the greater sin of not giving a toss -

I wouldn't have given Colloccini 2/10 - it would be in the minus area - he ran around looking like sideshow bob with no discernible footballing ability whatsoever - absolute joke he should be thoroughly ashamed of that display but as with the rest of the team i am sure he will collect his paycheck without even the slightest twinge of guilt -
Easier said than done - doesn't matter what players you have if the management is wrong - you also have plenty other teams thinking the same and couple the lack of status that comes with playing in the B league and our geograhical position in the country then were not massively attractive to players unless we are playing them x% more than everybody else

I just think that perma-tanned, sand dancing, hair dyed, slimy twat brown has the hex sign over us-i don't like to make it too obvious but i can't stand the twat and would love to knock that stupid headset along with his spaghetti western smile off his face
-
aye he is technically very good and has a ferocious shot - would probably do well alongside a runner/tackler in the midfield like nolan - doubt he would come to us like

Well, the article's littered with truisms and cliches, isn't it? If someone had posted it on here they'd have had the piss ripped out of them. I'm not defending it, I'm just thinking out loud. I feel worried today. We got wrote off last season around the same time by alot of so called experts wanting a bandwagon to jump on- it is worry though but i reckon we can pull through as long as we get some players back in action - oh and Collymore is a reactionary muppet but merson is a complete cockney wanker
-
Hope its stuart attwell - we might get some bonus goals

I deny endorsing Ashley at any time or saying it was impossible for us to be worse run than under Shepherd, just for the record. I did advocate a change in ownership as I think the time with Shepherd had simply run its course. He had made too many disastrous managerial appointments and didn't have the financial backing to get us back to where he once had us in my opinion. I also hugely resent the amount of money he took from the club. I stand by this. Would I want Ashley to take us over in hindsight though - no, I wouldn't. I guess you're asking how long you think it will be before Ashley sells and the new owner gets us in the average top 6 position we had under Shepherd? I haven't got a clue. Could be 5 years, but the pessimist in me thinks never. I don't think anyones worst nightmare could have thrown up what has happened this season tbf though ashley came in on the billionaire, buy players and pay off debt ticket which i think excited the majority of fans, myself included, and could hardly be blamed for not predicting the shit that was heading for the fan. Do i think he is a worse chairman than shepherd? yes because its a results business and regression is the only product of ashleys reign

The return of Owen is now critical. Absolutely essential Martins stays fit as well. I think with Owen's guile and the pace of Martins and Lovenkrands, plus the return of Barton, Guthrie and Nolan, we have a decent chance. Any more injury setbacks though and, well, it doesn't really bear thinking about. Agree with all the above and you can add beye onto that list - Collocini has never looked the same when mr newcastle has been at right back - at least bassong has the luxury of enrique and to a lesser extent guttierez to help him out - poor colo gets no help at all - if anything he doesn't know whether he is coming or going cos taylors positioning is so fucking bad - no coincidence to me that the defence started to deteriorate when beye got injured
-
He's given up for the season him like - no new contract so bollox he can sit on his jacksy and do sod all till the summer

Like a died in the wool mackem is gonna be impartial - can't stand the twat

NUFC And Kevin Keegan - Official Statement
Norbert Colon replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Couldnt agree more. There are better managers out there than KK. Really? As said before he ain't coming back but to casually disregard kk's ability in that manner is more than naive. There probably are better managers out there but not as many as you and the london biased press think -
I think the coaching staff should be sectioned. You can toe the party line relentlessly but sometimes to avoid looking like an imbecile you should inject a hint of reality from time to time - bolton were bloody awful and we lost - nuff said
-
He obviously wasn't watching the same game as me because the one i saw showed a side bereft of attacking options, tactical positioning, skill, vision, passing, passion, fight, drive, energy and every other required prequisite to win a game of football- and why oh why don't we switch the wingers occasionally just to see how they perform with their favoured foot from crossing positions
-
I just can't see how at any stage ashley could have stepped back and thought - yes i made the right choice - wake up man and smell the coffee- your team are clueless - surely the cheaper option is to let kinnears contract run down to the end of the season, tell wise to take an extended holiday until he can step down at the end of the season and reinstate keegan - its not fuckin hard
-
How can he sit and watch that performance against bolton and not realise he has made the mother of all fuck ups - bloody hell it was beyond abject and we are going down - ffs something has to be done because with personality free hughton and calderwood in the technical area we are fucked - and as for the lads doing it for joe!!! they were utterly testicle free for the whole game - knackerless and clueless
-
And the rest-Bolton are utter shite and we are worse-its utter misery-i thought there were six teams worse than us - i will be revising that particular notion
-
I am pretty sure he is 30yrs old or pretty near to that - apparently a late bloomer - Martinez has got the best out of him and has set the team up to compensate for his low workrate - but he is a good player , however, i reckon the manager should take a lot of the plaudits
