  1. I quite like Pards, but I'd never have had him down as a managerial heavyweight who can get under the skin of others with a few well placed words ala Mourinho or Fergie. Either I've grossly underestimated his abilities or Artie Ziff is really quite thin skinned
  2. Standard Mackem response to almost any post that includes words they can't understand.
  3. Every fucker on there thinks they're a latter bloody day Clive Bissel. Truth is that you don't "take" anywhere or "lay out" anyone nowadays, regardless of whether you're a Newcastle fan going to the SoS or a Mackem coming here. You shuffle from the station to the ground and then back again while surrounded by a few dozen rozzers filming you while occasionally giving it the big'un to the opposition fans a few hundred yards away.
  4. True dat. Remember how they "dominated" us at their place earlier in the season despite seeing less of the ball and having fewer shots? In hindsight it's plain to see that our relegation did more damage to their support than to us. They were cocksure that our demotion was the start of a long period of red and white dominance in the North East but instead they stagnated while we bounced back. They only took a point from their "easy six" against us last season and finished ahead of us by virtue of the fact our players decided to go on their jollies with 45 minutes of the season left. This season has compounded the misery because while they're doing decent enough under O'Neill they still have to come to terms with the fact that their bigger, brighter, more attractive and more financially prudent neighbours who not three years ago were the laughing stock of the entire nation are 10 points ahead of them and currently competing to return to European competition. The longer this goes on the further they seem to slide towards complete insanity. Tinfoil bonnets on their heads (under their Sports Direct carrier bags, of course) while they scream about refereeing conspiracies, the Geordie Mafia and magedia.
  5. Christ, he couldn't fit any more national flag pinbadges on his collar if he tried. Guaranteed he's a bloody card carrying members of the EDL.
  6. They're lunatics. No other explanation. They must all be fucking mental, especially the way they keep pedalling this "class" line. There's nowt classy about them or their two bit football club. Never has been, never will be - especially when they're smearing shite all over the toilet walls and smashing up Metro's
  7. Completely forgot about this thread. Absolutely amazing scenes. I'm currently doing at MA at Sunderland's illustrious university and the two exchange students all but refuse to go on nights out in the town, citing the fact it's shite and rough as fuck, but they both absolutely adore Newcastle. No joke, they think it's bloody marvellous. Their Facebook pages are a litany of photos of various parts of the city, along with The Sage and The Baltic. It's not just us, everyone thinks Sunderland is a fucking dive.
  8. Providing we keep hold of Tiote and we sign a left back who doesn't need looking after I think Guthrie's form in the middle has allowed Pardew to seriously think about going down the 433/451 route. Big man in Ba or Shola up top, Maiga/HBA/Jonas/Obertan ( ) all capable of playing alongside either of them in a front three with Cabaye/Tiote/Guthrie/Gosling/Abeid vying for the three places in the middle.
  9. Due to Newcastle for a medical tomorrow according to the Frenchies.
  10. He can't get his haircut man. If you ever meet him his hair is far farrrrrrr more impressive than Coloccini's. He's like a late 90's Serbian rock star. That's a worryingly accurate description
  11. He was bought as a replacement for Enrique so he is obviously fancied as a left back Much more strong at right back from what I've seen. Played at LB against Blackburn in the cup and had a pretty average game.
  12. Santon is more of a right back than a left back, until he learns English and gets to grips with the physical side of the English game that is. I'm not a huge Raylor fan but he's had some cracking games this season. He's done much more than just score a few goals as some would like you to believe. Today he came up against arguably the best right back in what is almost certainly the best team in the league and he had a rough time. No shame in that, better players will do similar. We need a proper left back, hopefully we'll find one in January, but I'm not calling for the removal of Raylor on the back of this result especially as I think Santon is much better suited to the right.
  13. Europe [and the UK] was far better off before we imported all these assorted spongers from all over the world and had a lower population. Sweet David FYP. Anyway, lets see if we can nail this down. In terms of this elastic band here, how tight are things likely to get? About as tight as an average Post Office band extended over about eight inches.
  14. If the UK populace didn't have the collective memory of a goldfish people may start actually pulling them up on that.
  15. I'd support an FCUM/AFC Wimbledon scenario. Probably the only instance in which I would go for such a thing.
  16. As someone who doesn't have a stable job and is looking to get a house/get married/start a family over the next half decade I'm pretty worried, particularly as all attempts to solve the problems seem to be based around propping up the system which has caused the mess rather than pursuing any actual change.
  17. No just us. As I said we're a special case. Why's that then? Typical comment from an Irishman. Why's that I'm guessing it's either you single-handedly saved the world from the Nazis, invented the game of football or just that generally without the British colonising half the world we'd all still be living like cavemen. Or possibly all three. Aye. With the first one being the fundamental one. The Russians did more than us tbf.
  18. I agree with FIFA, bizarrely. It's got nowt to do with respect for or a lack of it, it's just common sense. It's a can of worms not worth opening.

    Debuts

David Rozehnal tore it up against Bolton.
  20. Didn't really seem to give a shit about those poor lads and lasses at Foxconn either.
