  1. A better tribute would be to let it die, surely?
  2. When he returned to Apple after his illness he cancelled all of the organisations philanthropic campaigns, didn't donate a cent of his fortune to charity and made my Uni life hell as I tried to get to grips with Apple Macs that did infact do all the bad things that PCs did, therefore Gates > Jobs.
  3. It did make him up like a terminally ill child who told the Make a Wish foundation he wanted to run the line at a Premier League football match.
  4. hahaha highlight of my year to be fair Nar it was lovely meeting the pair of yous, some kids divvint suit beards like but it works well for you, like Rocky when he's training in Russia, your pals seemed nice kids too. Cracking beard. I've got that vest too.
  5. Meeting me on Saturday, radio star on Tuesday. It's been a cracking few days for you so far, like.
  6. Not sure it is like. He never wanted to own the club, he only ever wanted to buy and sell it for a quick buck but the buyer he had lined up pulled out after he had already bought it and he was stuck with it. They’ll still come back and 50,000 do every game. Ashley and his cronies had big plans that a brand like Nike or Apple or Mastercard or Carlsberg would wish to have naming rights over St James Park and it would be X brand @ St James Park. They underestimated marketing directors who do know what they are doing who took into consideration angry and annoyed fans who vented their protests over this idea from the start and 18 months later there is no sponsor. Mike Ashley owns a football club he doesn’t want. No evidence for any of that. Well, we understand he tried to sell it to some middle east group but fucked it up. 50k dont come back every game like. The plan was to get a big name to come in and sponsor the ground but no fucker would touch it. I also agree he doesnt want the club. Didn't Sheikh Mansour go on record at some point to say they were looking to buy us from Ashley but he was asking way to much so they went for Man City from Shinawatra instead? I remember reading some quotes saying they went for us, then Everton, then Man City.
  7. Speaking of strikers with attitude problems, Balotelli was on the lash up here last night
  8. It's played on a loop at my house. "There's a kill screen coming up, if anybody wants to see it...There is a potential Donkey Kong kill screen coming up...There's a Donkey Kong kill screen coming up if you're interested..."
  9. Leverage buyouts are "OK & legal" in the UK as far as I'm aware, this just makes him a much bigger cunt than we initially thought.

  11. Photo with you holding it up? I'll post a photo of me using it to wipe my arse when I get it.
  12. The club are sending nasty letters to people they have identified in the Gallowgate Corner as persistent standees/trouble makers.
  13. No but if your a club who can't sign a left back that's what you'll say, esp when you've just sold a decent one He made his name and has played predominantly at left back over his career. We can add him to the "left winger and completely right footed Jonas" list who only plays on the left for us, nevermind never playing their for his previous club or the argies (bar once in a blue moon when he's not on the right as a wingback under crazy diego) How odd Jonas turned into a left winger when we flogged duff and needed one. I'm willing to lay odds on me having seen him play an awful lot more than you, he really didn't but think what you like I really can't be arsed getting into this argument. I won't reply to it again if you think he's a left back fair enough lap it up (that goes for the rest on here who have watched a youtube clip and have decided oh aye he's a leftback alright) If/when he gets caught out for being completely right sided or isn't putting in crosses earlier enough because he's constantly switching back to the right foot please no one come on here whinging about not having a left back. Fucking hell, calm down dear He broke into the Inter side under Mourinho ahead of Chivu (the period in which I saw most of him) and the got furnished with the new Maldini tag because like him he was a right footed defender playing on the left.

  15. I preferred the last Raylor rumour you posted.
  16. I don't hate Barton (I'm not a fan of the revisionism that happens when a player leaves the club, but that's for another thread) but I'm not going to bum him either. I'm somewhere inbetween - I appreciate his contribution last season, realise we've lost a fantastic footballer but I'm relieved the circus that follows him no longer has its tent pitched in Newcastle. I've no doubt that financal gain motivated him but then who wouldn't be swayed by tens of thousands of pounds extra? I do think he'd have preferred to stay here but he was never going to be a favourite of those running the place, especially not after he had it out with Llambias when Hughton was sacked. My ire is once again reserved for those in charge of the club. He's a great footballer who we've given away to a rival for no other reason than those in charge have misplaced their copy of Football Ownership for Dummies. Sell him for a fee? Fine. Let him leave for free? Utterly mental.
  17. His minute by minute derby day review is canny - http://www.nufcthreatlevel.com/
  18. Plus there's also the fact that a player of Harper's age, quality, tan and experience could really help the young 'keepers develop and prove to be a more than capable number two. Instead we're freezing him out and replacing him with a 25 year old who is treading water in League One.
  19. Made the most tackles without giving away a foul in the whole league yesterday according to someone on N-O.
  20. I moved to the Strawberry corner, very back row and I have to say I'm impressed. Good view of the game, I can stand, I can sing and the lads and lasses around me are sound as fuck (a nice healthy mix of both SE corner regulars and L7 movers from what I can gather). The only bit of trouble I saw was a few rows in front when three lads refused to sit down and a bloke a few rows back had a whinge to the stewards, which resulted in a protracted argument between all three parties. I can't comment on the level of patter in the toilets but I'll report back after the Fulham game.
  21. I thought he was actually coming into the game when Pardew took him off. He barely got a touch of the ball for the first 30 minutes but after that he slowly got more involved. Still convinced he'll be the perfect foil for Tiote in time. It's a shame and slightly shambolic they've never played together until yesterday.
  22. The gold place, aye. Washington isn't ready for Harry Ramsdens, we only got a KFC last year.
  23. You planning on tearing up Washington again the neet? Aye. I'm going to head to the Galleries, set a couple of mobility scooters alight and do Ramsdens over.
