  1. I think it's about time we had a knee jerk reaction to this lad. I've taken as much notice of him as I can through the foggy pane of the goggle box and it strikes me that he's decent.... but not worth £10m, he's certainly no better than the othe rplayers that we werde linked with, players who we could have got at a lower price. I hope that the brace against Levadia on thursday is an indication of things to come but lets not forget that he was pretty average for the first half. I'm looking at the players we've brought in and see Sibierski do far better than I had expected and flashes of Rossi, but the player that came with the big reputation hasn't really hit the ground running. He seems a good yard or two off the pace, his passes and first touches are indistuishable from each other at times. He has the pace to reclaim a bad touch, but surely an Inter player would have learnt how to receive the ball without needing to chase 3 yards after it. so I have my doubts about Obafemi... certainly not fit to wear the Number 9... give it to Shola
  2. Yep I've not moved into the "I'm bored with you" phase yet so things are looking good, depressingly though she's off to Stratford for a weekend so I've tramped back up to Seaton Sluice, to chat with the folks, see some friends (and use the parents internet access for nowt ) oh and JJ ... ahem... "Woohoo woo hoo hoo" I'm still fleecing people, both young and old, £3.00 for a fucking pint of lager? I wouldn't pay half that! Whens the next piss up I may grace y'all with my presence (as long as it's not too bastard sunny, I doubt the stadium floodlights could bear the competition from my scalp for "Shiniest thing in the Northern Hemisphere")
  3. ooh I likes the new format. but anyhoo, I'm no longer working for the twats, currently doing part time shifts in a bar, but to be honest I making as much money doing this as I was trying to hawk windows to people who couldn't afford them. As if it wasn't bad enough that Weatherseal lied to me and their customers while I was working there, they've not paid me for the final week i was working there. I've been to the office and they said they're having problems with pay-section. Utter bullshit. Bit miffed about the whole thing, but on the bright side I'm now in a position to take a night-class in Journalism to keep my juices flowing. on the whole life is good, I've a lady now who keeps me on the straight and narrow (no more hideous hangovers or coronary sandwiches for me!) I'm getting the internet sorted out for the house, so I should be able to bug the crap out of everybody very very soon. ( p.s. New fav smiley )
  4. it's a load of Derek-Acorah-related-bullshit. but it can give hope to the hopeless so....meh it's harmless really. (unless someone takes it too seriously and plans their life by the musings of some pasty-faced drop-out art-student) (are there too many hyphens in this post?)
  5. walking distance from town, but right beside a big park, good mix of amenities close by, 3 good eateries and a really good pub. oh and in the middle of student-ville so a lot of skirt.
  6. yeah I suppose.. but there's just a piece of me that want's to take any opportunity to stick the knife into my current job. Don't suppose anyone on here wants a salesman/amdin/barman/driver/alcoholic in their employ? I'm clean shaven and leave the room to fart
  7. ..actively discouraging people who I like... not the people I actually go and see. when I'm there Weatherseal is an exemplar of good business and sound practise... My biggest regret is that I got so wrapped up in the possibility I didn't take a step back and remember that the people who were offering the job were salesmen themselves and as such would be quite capable of putting a perfectly wonderful spin on things. Everything in Life's a lesson though, so I'll learn from this, not be so fucking naive and move on. On the bright side it's something I can put in my c.v., stating that I left this company as I had issue with their practises, which were unethical in my eyes. HAH have a nice big fucking slice of Integrity you twatful future employers!
  8. can't remember if I told you lot or owt, but every single sale I made either failed finance check or cancelled so I've made £200 a week and that's it. fucking seething tbh. got a couple of interviews for recuitment consultancies and even thrown my c.v. at a couple of bars. I'm so fucked off with Weatherseal, they were asking me to cold call and leaflet drop etc. this week. Safe to say that I haven't cold called anyone, I won't cold call anyone and I'm at the stage now where I'm actively discouraging friends and family from ever using Weatherseal. It's impossible to make a sale when you simply don't believe what you're saying anymore.
  9. Off the top I can think of three center halves we feasibly could have signed (Woodgate, Huth and Campbell), for little, if any, outlay. Instead we overstock the forward line, yes we needed a striker, but we didn't need Antoine Sibierski as well as Martins and Rossi Bernards return could be beneficial and Martins may come good, Rossi is a decent signing on loan... but I cannot for the life of me understand why we haven't signed a center half. Sure, Campbell is old now, but even at his age he's a damned sight sharper that Titus Bramble. what are the laws surrounding loan or free signings outside of the transfer window?
  10. you can park at my house if you like? free of charge and if you're nice and buy me a pint some time I might even drive you into to town on the day. See? The Fish ain't all bad.
  11. Or Cardiff.. You are all correct mind we should all be tame little northerners and remember our place in life.... Why should Londoners be expected to travel and there is no part of London which is a shithole eh? 191884[/snapback] I bet you're even pissed off that you can't get gravy for that chip on your shoulder aren't you?
  12. I remember the little bottles of milk that you used to get, I remember the beating I avoided from th school bully because I convinced him that we were related (we had the same surname). I remembered getting bollocked for putting out the shed window with a snowball and the teacher got so angry with us she cried. I remember from middle school pushing a kid into the urinal and him sitting in the the thing just bubbling and telling me that he wanted me to get cancer. I remember the various school trips, skiing, camping, museums etc. where we were supposed to be learning things, but instead were more interested in studying the opposite sex. In high school I was bollocked for being cheeky to teachers and the like but no telling off matched that my English class received after we tormented the substitute teacher to the point she quit. School were some of the happiest days of my life when I look back on them, but if you tried to tell me that at the time I'd have though you were mad! It's weird how the friends you made at school.. you think they'll be around forever but it's only when you grow up and are able to choose your friends that you realise only you hung about with the kids in school because they lived locally and you didn't really have much choice. It was either be mates with them or nobody.
  13. that's a fucking joke... when Boro can sign Woodgate and West Ham can sign Tevez and Mascherano.... FFS FFS
  14. it's the whole ethos of the company though. if these complaints were a million miles from my own (limited) experiences I would dismiss them out of hand, but they're jarringly close. anyhoo I'll start looking for a different job, but stay with Weatherseal until I'm squared away with a new position with a company which won't sell their granma for a quick buck.
  15. no mate, I've not exactly been 100% sold on the job from day one... this is just pushing me further from it.
  16. this is confirming some of my fears. like the bloke in the first Weatherseal horror story says, it's a good product but the company is a bit... well.. cowboy. guess it's time to look for a new job.
  17. they've stupid names for the different type of "close" they use on a sale. the Bioss used a line I heard Jonathon Woodgate use when he asked if Newcastles back four had potential "Practise doesn't make perfect, Practise makes permanent" I get a text message from him before every pitch "See the Sale. Gung Ho!" he's a twat
  18. look, for the love of god, I know that I've been "sold to" but I've seen the product and I've seen competitors products and the window we use is better. is it worth the price? I honestly couldn't say.... it's expensive, but when you stand it against more expensive windows it has the same things (locking mechanisms, safety features etc.) for less money. Is it akin to having a £100 bucket for washing your car? Probably. But at the end of the day it's a good window. p.s. I always sounded like this, it's not just windows man.
