Charnley taken in by HMRC = "Mags have been done for tax fraud" Zero further details = "They'll definitely get a points deduction and a transfer ban" Hours later = "Swindon!" Weeks later when the actual details begin to emerge = "eh, how're they getting away with it when everyone knows they've been done for tax fraud" Months after when punishments are meted out = "How're they not getting a points deduction or a transfer ban when everyone agreed that was most likely?!" When they start their season away to Fleetwood = "What about Swindon!" When a 1-1 draw at home to Burton kills their hopes of the Play-Offs and keeps them in the Championship for another year = "Typical mags get away with everything, it's a conspiracy. Cabal of Newcastle businessmen." First opportunity? I reckon he had a few chances to fuck off before Palace came calling.

Tell you what lads, if ever you get in a pinch with the old HMRC, just head over to RTG, there's a fuck ton of experts over there.

To be fair, their editor will be demanding they get something out. Their boss will be of the opinion that 1,000s of clicks every hour or so, for an enticingly headlined piece is better than waiting hours to get a proper article researched and reported while your competitors are pumping out fresh urls which are generating unique hits.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

I know Colin Murray jacked in talkSport because he didn't want to be in anyway associated with the Sun via Newscorp, but I don't think Stan has the moral compass for that sort of thing. -

Collymore did worse and was on radio for years until... well I'm not sure why he's not on talkSport anymore. -
Oh aye, but this isn't him giving a legitimate excuse, he's just deflecting. Knowing our luck we'll get sponsored by some far-east gambling consortium for a nice fat fee, then 6 months later the FA will ban gambling sponsors.

Also trying to deflect by saying the FA are sponsored by Ladbrokes or something. Man Utd were sponsored by Chevrolet, doesn't mean Rooney could run some over in a Corvette and get away with it.

Fined £5m weren't they? Also, didn't they have to pay Sheffield Utd something?

Same age as Charnley.

If it's Mondial sports we've done loads of deals with them involved; Yohan Cabaye, Moussa Sissoko, Mathieu Debuchy, Thauvin Florian, Alexsandr Mitrovic, Remy Cabella, Hatem Ben Arfa, Emmanuel Riviere, Henri Saivet,

Had a discussion with one of them about Anichebe. He was adamant 'Big Vic' is a better striker than Mitrovic. DIgnoring, y'know, just looking at them Mitro scored more in his debut Premier League season than Anichebe has managed in any of his. In fact, in 2 seasons of English football, Mitrovic has 40% of Anichebe's goal haul across 13 seasons.

Well, except for when we meet them next season. So I'd prefer the shittest team to come up with us.

Forest are away to QPR and home to Ipswich, neither of those are actually any good or have anything to play for. 3 points clear of Blackburn and 7 clear of Wigan, both of whom I could see failing to pick up another point. Nobody seems to be talking about Reading or Shef Wed coming up via the play offs. All the talk seems to be about Fulham and Huddersfield. I'm sure Brentford would love to derail Fulham's season on Saturday and Leeds could easily beat Norwich... I think the Play Offs are wide open.
