Anthony Gordon Handsome Winger Man

Some of us have friends/colleagues outside the North East bubble. -
I definitely don't think the answer to going a goal behind, against a NES side, who've not won at home all season is to remove one of the players with the necessary close control and vision to play through a low block. Osula's relentless running and chaotic energy would have been an improvement on Gordon, so lump Big Willy out wide, bring on Ramsey for Joelinton and maybe Elanga on the right as well?

100% And when you're facing that kind of press, you have to have confidence and quality on the ball (look at how Man City played through Bournemouth's press) especially when you need to break down the block. I thought we were unbelievably sloppy on the ball, but, in fact, we're about par for this season So it's not that we were particularly inaccurate with our passing, it must be that the passes we made were safe and lacking in penetration.

It's mental, and yet they never seem to be exposed by long balls into the channels. -

I understand that his contributions at the business end of the pitch have been poor in the league. But the Champions League shows that he's got the ability, so it's probably about tweaking how we play away from home in the League. I agree that having Burn supporting to him might limit his output, but I'd also say having Joelinton on that flank will limit him as well. Big Joe at his best isn't a huge attacking threat, and he's not been at his best for a while. I'd honestly be tempted to play Miley or Ramsey on that side of the midfield three with Gordon, but even that isn't answering the ask. For me, that's got to be playing Hall as soon as he's fit. It's also bringing in another Left Back in the window. Basically I want two Lewis Halls. -
I think it's pretty likely that he's been advised to down tools. Whether it be by someone from Newcastle, or his own agent.

Easier, in fact. No auctioneer means you just put your bid down beside the lot. Edit- Lot as in particular item, not lock, stock and barrel

We shall fight at the artisanal bakers, we shall fight beside the bespoke tailors, we shall fight among the private jewellers and the silent auction houses, we shall fight in the members-only lounges and the rooftop spas; we shall never surrender.

It's also why I got COVID jabs before it was cool, why I get to the front of the queue for various bits and bobs. I've got the golden ticket

I get mine because the underfunded NHS has me confused with someone else. Someone who's had an organ transplant and sickle cell anemia.

Sorry but I do the shopping and cooking for two adults, 1 6yr old and 1 18 month old. Not only can I somehow find the time to plan what we're going to eat for the week, I can arrange delivery and cook it without setting fire to the Amazon. I also have a database because I'm a massive nerd which not only has a bank of meals that I know everyone can eat, it prices things up and even works out, given the packaging, what other meals I could add to the week so as to reduce waste. e.g. tonight I'm making fajitas, there's a spare chicken breast and a pepper left over from the packet of three so that's going in a risotto tomorrow. I wouldn't expect anyone to bother their backside to make a database like I have, but planning meals shouldn't require AI.

Similar with my lads' team and the club he plays with are good at reinforcing the fact that results don't matter and all that. There's some other clubs round here who take it way, way too seriously. There's a club with a reputation round here. One of their lads committed a professional foul to stop a 1v1 and their coach applauded him. Genuinely gave a "Well in Tommy!" it was honestly shocking.

I was going to say, part of the reason he wasn't rotating as much is because he had so few options from the bench worth a damn. Now at least, he can go into games against Premier League opposition with some confidence despite playing our, what, 3rd choice RB, 4th choice CB, etc. We couldn't do that earlier on.

Anyone putting pressure on kids when they're just learning the game should be removed quick sharp. 99% of them aren't going to make it, so just let them have a kick about with their mates.

How old is he?

Re: Anderson not getting into our first team. I think we've shown this year that Howe is becoming more and more comfortable using the squad. Some of it is definitely forced (it likely would have been Trippier replacing Livramento, rather than Krafth replacing Tripps), but Elanga, Murphy, Barnes and Gordon are being rotated, Miley and Ramsey have been coming in for Joelinton and Tonali/Bruno. He might not be first name on the team sheet right now, but Joelinton is 29... And we all know football is a young mans game.

I was curious as to whether this season was as tight as I thought, so I had a quick fiddle around. After that side quest I started to look at the numbers. After game week 5 this was the spread last season and this; Liverpool took a big lead this season but actually the rest of the league is quite congested compared to 24/25 After 9 games you can see it's significantly more congested. Only 6pts currently separate 2nd and 13th, in 24/25 it was 11.

After 9 games: we're creating an all right amount, not great, not bad, but our finishing has been poor. I think as our attacking line begins to get a better understanding (and when Wissa hopefully hits the ground running) we should see movement up towards the top right. Thankfully, our defending has been very good, it;s a little frustrating that we've conceded more goals than you'd expect, but this could be a combination of good finishes, and small sample size. These two combine to actually put us in the bottom right square, aka the good one. That's where you're creating a good number of chances, but conceding few.

From Understat They're benefiting hugely from good keeping from Roef's or profligate shooting from their opponents. Aston Villa are an interesting one as well, they're not doing great, but by these measures they should actually be doing even worse...

Isn't there something about him going to Bayern?
