  1. I don't think goal keeper is a priority to be honest. Dubravka will be rusty and, in his defence, the defence has been indefensible. Once we have Botman back, and a rejuvenated Trippier, plus a rested and recuperated midfield, we'll return to being one of the PL teams who allows the fewest number of shots on goal. DM is an interesting one. I like the idea of a Rodri-esque player, but I don't know if there's one available for a price we'd be comfortable spending in this window. I also don't know if pushing Bruno further up the pitch would be the best use of him considering the rest of our midfield. Joelinton, Longstaff, Miley, Tonali, and Willock are all variations on a theme. They're all types of a number 8. Willock and Joelinton drive with the ball, Longstaff and Tonali play deeper but neither are a true number 6. Play Bruno further forward with a true defensive mid behind and we wouldn't benefit from Bruno's late arrival in our attacks. He plays best about 30-40yds out, linking the midfield with the fullbacks and forwards. If he's already up there I think it's easier to defend against. Personally think a young striker, and a player who can play wide right is the priority. Also a centre back.
  2. I too would be afraid of anyone who has sex with one of the planets last surviving megafauna. Dat ass tho, amirite?
  3. Gav's gone fully off the deep end hasn't he? Shame like, I thought he was a really good pundit before he began bothering God and shoving his wife into the kitchen.
  4. It's so fucking transparent. No managerial jobs because he's shit at that, no punditry jobs because he's shit at that too (and I'd wager a proper arsehole to work with). He's seen other washed up ex-pros carve out a niche with a dog whistle so he's figured he'll just give it a go too. It's desperate, pathetic and doomed to fail.
  5. Work smart, not hard. Most of my stuff is automated as much as possible. I work from home and only join online meetings when it's absolutely necessary. I can do this shit at the same time as processes are running in the background. Hell I can educate you ingrates while on some of the absolutely necessary meetings.
  6. While that is undeniable I'm choosing to call you a name and stick with the horse what brung me. TRIPPS 4 LYFE YA LIL BIPPITYBOPPITYBITCH!
  7. You can't? I can, when we get players back fit, additions in January, fewer European/FA and League cup fixtures I think we can see away wins flow. Our final 6 away games are all winnable IMHO
  8. Said to mates last night around 60 minutes that it would be a moment of genuine quality or a calamitous mistake that would decide the game. Wasn't expecting two, from us, by Trippier of all people. Everton played as well as they could, but don't be under any delusion; had we a full strength XI, or even options from the bench, we wouldn't have lost that game. 3-0 flatters them massively, that was a niggly, scrappy attritional 1-0 if ever I saw one. Trippier's errors were born of exhaustion and while he shoulders the blame for two of their goals, the attacking group didn't do enough with the few chances we had and didn't do enough to create chances either. It's not surprise that the goals all came late on in the second half. Mind you 270 minutes over 8 days, against top tier opposition in PSG, Man Utd and a motivated indignant Everton was always going to be a big ask. If you'd said we'd have 6pts from Chelsea, Man Utd and Everton I think we all would have taken that. Gordon looked off it all game and I wonder if the occasion got to him. First real game against them, at Goodison, in front of a hostile fanbase, when he's surely knackered. Almiron and Isak didn't do much either. Spurs next and unless there's a miraculous recovery it'll be the same 11 again, I reckon. What I hope will do is either change how we set up, or put some faith in the fresh legs of our fringe players to see out a game.
  9. He's not far off. He's spot on. You need only open up your web browser and navigate to Sodomy law - Wikipedia Where you'll read the following passage:
  10. It's like they think their previous speeches, quotes, emails, recordings are lost to mists of time.
  11. Nice of @safcforever to come on here with well reasoned arguments. I wonder if they think the behaviours shown on RTG are representative of the wider Sunderland fanbase. Because, if they are.... hoo boy.
  12. Start every programme like this to be honest. Antiques Roadshow would be much more entertaining.
