The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Apparently Mbabu is heading back to Switzerland on loan. I'd have preferred to see him get some experience at this level but I suppose it's difficult loaning out players to Championship rivals. I think Armstrong is going to have the same problem. -

That would be a mistake like. We're one of the poorest at creating chances so far so we need more in that area. Mitrovic and an up to speed Diame will make a difference but liked of Gouffran and Anita are going to offer fuck all. -

Judge has got great stats for assists and goals in this league over the last two seasons so that's something to be excited about. Obviously it's not ideal that he's not fit until end of October/early November but he can still play a lot of games from that point on. It's a bit of a risk but one worth taking for given the price for one of the best players in the league last season. -

You can pretty much rule out anything Transfermarkt has to say. I've never seen it remotely accurate on anything. Edit: It lists Ritchie as £5.1m for example. What is the point of it? -

Judge deal sounds like it's pretty likely. His stats are good but I don't know much else about him. Surprised we're willing to take a risk on a player who had a double leg break a few months ago and his still two months away from fitness. Also linked with James McCarthy from Everton. Seems unlikely but he's a player I'd be very happy to see us sign. -

Well there's been a lot of talk that he's a centre back as much as a left back so he would ideal for that set up. -

Caulkin said last night that Everton's delay in signing Kone had allowed West Brom to get to him. Sounds like he preferred a move to a premier league team. -

Going on loan to West Brom now. -
Shame the final didn't quite happen for Durham. Great performances from Wood, Jennings, Stokes and Rushford over the two games though. If Stokes had been able to bowl I think they would have won it.

Watched Imperium the other day. As implausible as Harry Potter as a neo Nazi sounds, I actually thought the film was quite decent. -

Looking like we've missed out on Galloway now. Shame because I've liked what I've seen of him and Dummett is fucking awful. -
Bristol City vs Paul's pod of fucking penes
David Kelly replied to TheGingerQuiff's topic in Newcastle Forum
Yeah I agree the highlights didn't look too kind on Selz but with seeing so little of the game it's impossible to tell. Even if we had longer highlight's, it's unlikely they would have shown much of Selz coming and doing well on crosses. Most of the reaction on Twitter seems to have been from people who only listened to the match and saw the same highlights we did. Ryder's marks and comments seemed to give a different picture to what John Anderson did. But Hayden certainly seemed to have a good game and Diame seemed much more involved than last week. He's seemed to suggest his fitness isn't quite there at the moment so he should get better. Ritchie sounded like he had a quieter game than his others.- 147 replies

Bristol City vs Paul's pod of fucking penes

Krul and Elliott are injured so that left us to start the season with just Darlow as a senior keeper. It's not very strange that Rafa decided he needed to bring in another keeper. I think he's known all along that Krul feels it's time to move on now too.- 147 replies

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
All those that have gone and needed replacing have been. Whether they have been replaced with players who in their prime are up to the same standard is questionable, but most of those players primes came and went a long time ago (and not here in some cases). We're in the championship now so if you think we can replace £25m players like for like, I think you're kidding yourself. We still need at least three more players for my money like but I have much more confidence these days that we will get them. -
Bristol City vs Paul's pod of fucking penes
David Kelly replied to TheGingerQuiff's topic in Newcastle Forum
Radio Newcastles commentary suggested that Selz was very shakey but I've seen people who were at the match say that he was fine. Maybe it's just that we're not used to a keeper who wants to punch everything, which is very much the continental way these days. He's not impressed me much so far mind, but Elliot and Darlow both looked poor early on. In fact, before last season everyone feared whenever Elliot had to play. It sounds like Krul won't be here much longer anyway so we won't have to consider him anymore. I'm certain Selz must have been playing better in Belgium to be voted their keeper of the season for two of the past three, so hopefully he can find his form quickly. Anyway, any away win is very welcome these days. It might not have been pretty but after being so poor away from home for so long, it's not going to be for a while yet. I'm not sure it's ever going to be that pretty under Rafa.- 147 replies

Think we should expect to see changes for pretty much every match. I'd imagine he'll play Ritchie whenever possible though. Certainly hope so.- 147 replies

Struggled a bit with Preacher but I think I'll give it a propper go once the Olympics are over and I've watched Gomorrah.

I'm sure when he got into bed with his missus he looked a lot more chuffed. How he has the energy to ride a bike is beyond me. -
I might be inclined to try playing Shelvey further forward with Colback/Tiote/Anita along with Hayden behind him.
-
Diame missing is blow because I think he needs to get games under his belt to get up to speed. Surely we must play both Ritchie and Aarons.

Six episodes in and it's still excellent. I noticed Gandolfini was down as executive produceer and wondered if he was meant to be in it. Difficult to imagine him in the Turturo role now though.
