Surely what we've learned from appointing Benitez as that we need someone who the players and fans can get behind. Cathro would not be that man. He might be a good bloke but he's linked to McClaren now and I rally can't see players dying to play for him and he's not going to go down well with a set of fans who have just watched us get relegated. The reason a mackem would think we have delusions of grandeur is because they think that we think we're better than them. Well for once they're actually right. We do think we're better than them. Apparently there is some clause that we'll sell him for about £8.5m if we go down. When I read the article that mentioned it, it did seem like we didn't actually have to sell him just if we did decide to sell him we had to accept the amount. Think it was in the chronicle so it was possibly just badly written. The books at least have an endgame mapped out. I think they plan on getting to roughly the same place in the show just with a few changes with the supporting cast along the way. The problem with Heroes and (as I understand it since I never watched it) Lost was that they never really seemed to have a plan where it was going from the start.

The lad who I bought my android box from originally was trying to get me to get some sort of plex thing a while back. There was a subsription with it which was about £50. I saw absolutely no reason to pay anything else when I get everything I want from Kodi for free. And given I'll be less interested in the premier league next season I can't see that changing. I certainly wouldn't be buying anything from anyone who sounds like that tool who makes the beast build anyway.

I have a feeling they've slowed things down in some sort of attempt to not get too far ahead of the books. So far in this season there's very little happened (Jon's resurection, Ramsey killing Roose) that's really moved beyond where the books are up to.

Don't forget we'll have already written down the value of the players for the length of time they've been here. There's a strong chance we'll make money on at least anyone who was bought more than a year ago. How much cash that releases is another matter entirely but I don't see us looking to spend much anyway.
