Surving easily doesn't really make for good drama though does it. I know what you mean though, there are times when you can't understand why they would do something. It gets so stupid that it takes all the drama away.

That's imposible to answer not knowing who will stay. I would suggest that there's a fair chance Armstrong will score a few given the chance though.

The Walking Dead season finale doesn't seem to have gone down well. Personally I thought it was one of the best episodes there's been in ages. I'll say no more for fear of Gemmill.

Mitro has 8 or 9 now doesn't he? And that's been in a team set out to be cautious as fuck (despite an inability to defend). If he was still here next season, I'd be fairly confident he'd score quite a few. Fuck knows who will be here though.

I've had a season ticket in the east stand since the mid eighty's. It's not a badge of pride, it's just a fact. My dad took me as a bairn and paid for my ticket so I could hardly go anywhere else. I've kept it up so I could keep going with him rather than sitting with me mates. I think all seater stadiums is a much worse thing for English football than season tickets. It's had a terrible effect on the atmosphere and it's probably been the main force behind season tickets anyway.

We're not going to win away again this season. This will be another defeat and the tramps will beat Leicester too.

Well I certainly can't defend him on that score. Actually he only got his ticket last year too. Think he only got it so he could come out on the piss with us.

You'd imagine that supporters of other premier league teams would be delighted to see the back of us, villa and the tramps. Three clubs of a decent size who have added nothing to the league for years. You'd rather see smaller clubs like Norwich and Bournemouth giving it a go than the three of us treading water until we evenually fall into the abyss.

Gouffran, Obertan, Marveaux & Taylor are all out of contract this summer. When we go down I could actually see them giving Taylor another deal like. Colo only has a year left. He might hang around for the wages for that year then fuck off back to Argentina. Is Aarons not out of contract too? Cisse, Tiote and Sissoko have looked like they have wanted out for ages and I fully expect them to go this summer regardless of what happens. Krul, Gini and Janmaat will be away too. Beyond that you're starting to get to the stage where you think other players will go and I really can't see Mitro, Mbemba, Perez or SDJ wanting to stay but, I don't actually believe we will let a whole squad go. We didn't last time and we're in the same situation as regards to clauses not being in their contracts. Since they'll still be on premiership wages, I think we'll end up being stuck with more than we expect. Shite like Anita will probably end up being stuck here for another year until his contract is up (and he'll look just as bad dropping down a division).

I'll get no pleasure at all from seeing Leicester win the title. It just reminds me of how shit we are.

Just finished watching the Night Manager yesterday. Quality television.

Well he's a season ticket holder. Cricket's just a bit too intellectual a sport for him.

Eddie the Eagle. Light and fluffy British comedy fair. Glad they didn't make him out to be a complete moron as that would have been unfair on him. Decent enough watch. Take Shelter. Michael Shannon as a father who may be having visions of some sort of apocalypse or may be losing his mind. Slow going but enjoyable.

One of my mates went to Barcelona for the match at the weekend. Turns out the ticket he paid 600 euros for was a fake and he lost his bank card. Add to that, his flight to manchester has been delayed so he's going to miss his train back up here. Winning weekend that one

Thought a final over like that from Stokes had been coming for a while. He's still pretty inconsistent with his bowling and had been excellent in the previous couple of games. But it was our batting that lost us that game. In general the bowling was superb yesterday. Willey in particular was brilliant. Just a shame we carried Morgan as a batsman for the entire tournament. His captaincy has been good though. When you consider where our white ball cricket was a year ago, it's fantastic we got so far and you have to consider the tournament as a success as a whole. West Indies were the most deserving team though.
