  1. Norwich been given an extra point the rest of us don't know about?
  2. Felt a bit sick celebrating Sissoko score but it was a massive relief. Hopefully that will inspire him to put a bit of effort in for the last few games before he leaves. Thought Anita and Lascelles in particular played well. He's a young centreback and will make mistakes but I think you can see something in him. He tries to organise more than our so called captain does too.
  3. I agree. I just noticed he'd got 174 the other day so assumed he'd be being talked up.
  4. Aye I suppose so. Giving those quick scorers a platform to score from might be our best bet. It's got to be better than regularly losing 3 wickets for 30.
  5. Possibly but Compton and Cook opening? Think I'd rather have a more positive player with Cook. Of course if Hales keeps getting out for nothing then you're virtually left with Cook and Compton by default. Or one of them with Root with 30 on the board as quite often happens.
  6. Isn't this supposed to be the Belta Minge thread? They're absolutely hacky!
  7. I think they'll stick with Hales and Compton for the May matches at least. You've only got to look at players like Voges for Australia to see how keeping faith with a player after he's had a relatively poor series can be rewarded (admittedly he's only done it at home so far). Plus as you suggest there's a lack of real standout options (Stoneman or Ballance again maybe).
  8. I thik Butler as keeper and Bairstow as specialist batsman is the most likely at this stage. But Roy has improved quite at bit at first class level over the last season or two. And Bell hit a century the other day.
  9. In a bid to keep up with Cath http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-36052363
  10. I don't think you see many articles like that from Newcastle journalists (and I use that word in it's loosest sense) in the same way as there aren't many threads on here about the tramps. As always they have a chip on their shoulder about us and we care a lot less about them.
  11. Think he was a near certainty to play. Possible way back into the test team for Butler now or maybe Roy? Or maybe even Bell?
  12. We have a well run club purely on the basis that the premier league negotiated a massive TV deal and we did poorly in the league so we didn't have to pay out bonuses so our wages have been reduced. Nothing the people running has done has contributed to the profit we've made.
  13. Aye he's regularly ranting at fish on Twitter about how we still won't admit we were wrong. Not sure what about anymore but it's entertaining.
  14. Aye you're right. I prefer the term cunt myself but lazy bastard works too.
  15. We just need Leazes back now and we can all be one happy family again. Sorry that's in too bad taste even for this thread.
  16. He's also lost the ability to dribble.
  17. Norwich & Sunderland fans maybe.
  18. You don't post anything for years and you come back with this?
  19. I don't mind mowing the lawn (takes about half an hour to do the front and back of my flat) but if me mam and dad don't come round and do the weeds they don't get done.
  20. Well done he's 13. I'd never seen that before. What a complete cock.
  21. I think you might be right there. I'm not buying his chest thumping shit any more.
  22. We'll be down before the last day of the season.
  23. I wouldn't write him off yet but so far he's been just as I expected other than his first game. After which plenty of people were already proclaiming him to be a quality player and the missing piece of our midfield. He's been rank average since then.
  24. Well Taylor is doing his best to not get a contract but it wouldn't surprise me if he's already agreed one. I think Mbemba is a good player but he came for decent money and I'm not sure anyone will pay what we would demand.
  25. I'm certain Janmaat will go. Not as sure about either of the others.
