  1. I hate pretty much every other club so none of them deserve success. Actually no one deserves success, If you do the right things as a club you will get success but I think deserve is a poor choice of word.
  2. His career has spectacularly stalled since leaving here through injuries and lack of form. I see no great reason to bring him back at this stage. That said I do still think he can offer a threat that no other other player in the league can manage and it's possible that a return here might inspire him to get himself back on track. It would be a bigger risk than signing any amount of foreign players though so I wouldn't be interested in spending anything like the money I'm sure Wist Am would want back for him. As for a prediction for tomorrow, I think we've been on a brilliant run but we aren't really strong enough to keep it going and with all of the players we have missing, this will probably be a game too far for us.
  3. It's alright whenever you don't really care what the fans of your old club think.
  4. I think the most important thing he offers is consistency. I don't think he's ever going to dominate a game but he keeps things moving along and seems to be a 7/10 performer pretty much every game. He's not exciting but we can rely on him to keep doing his thing. I doubt we'll see him having many bad games.
  5. My main basis for it is that our current regeime has appointed most recently Pardew and before that Kinnear, Shearer and Keegan. That's two shite cunts from out of nowhere and two club heros who were always going to expect more control, ambition and funds that they were ever going to be given. The only decent appointment that they have made was Hughton and he only got the job by default as he was doing it and turned out well. There's nothing that's been done in terms of managerial appointments by Ashley that suggests he has any interest/ability in searching out up and coming managers who could take the club forward.
  6. The new series of Ripper Street has started well.
  7. The minge isn't usually the first thing I'm attracted to although hope of getting there is my main motivation. Tits are generally something I'm looking for straight away though.
  8. I can't imagine we have anyone at the club who would be able to spot a good manager before their talent becomes obvious. That's the bigger problem iyam. There a plenty of managers who would love the job and there will be a lot who could do it but we wouldn't have anyone who could find them. In answer to the original question, Pardew's had far too much time already. If we had a replacement lined up I would get shot of him immediately. He's having one of his odd good spells at the moment but for me they're nowhere near frequent or good enough to make up for the rest of the shite he serves up and his pathetic excuse for a personality. I think I'd go out for a drink with Squidward. He'd make me look far more attractive!
  9. Where's that from Fish? Sounds like just the kind of deal we'd be keen on. I'm also becoming more and more confident that Tiote will go soon (I still can't see Wenger wanting to sign him, he's just not a good enough ball player, although they clearly need an enforcer in there) and we're playing anyone instead of Anita at the minute so it's quite possible that there's a couple of midfield places ready to open up. If those two went we'd be down to Colback, Sissoko and Abeid realistically for the engine room and that isn't really enough.
  10. If you're looking for a 1 in 2 striker you're going to have to throw £30m+ to get him. You're looking at an Aguero/Costa type player and even if we would spend that sort of money, they wouldn't come here.
  11. While I've been delighted by the recent run and pleased with the fighting sprit in the team, I don't think we've played that great. Certainly nothing to suggest that once this purple patch ends, we'll be able to mix it up with the better teams. I fully expect us to plummet next month once we get a defeat. In a sense though that might not be a terrible thing as the timing could work out quite well with the January window coming up. I guess the form of the players up to that point will have a massive baring on who (if anyone) we go for. You would say that a new centreback is a no brainer but gut given the recent form of Colo, Saylor, Dummett and even iron Mike on Saturday I can see them reconsidering any recruitment there. The emergance of Dummett as a viable option in the centre being the biggest factor (especially with Lacselles due to arrive in the summer). If he stays in the team when others are fit and keeps this form up then I can certainly see no investment there. A striker is the next position you would look at, but with Cisse looking like he is actually capable of scoring again, Perez's emergance and SDJ coming back into the squad around January (coupled with the fact that Riviere's not had much of a chance yet and Chucky's managed nothing more than the bench), I wouldn't be at all surprised if we kept our powder dry. The African Nations might well have an impact on our thinking though. If we are going to lose Cisse, Tiote and possibly Abeid for a month then we may have to look for something either up front or in a defensive midfield position. I actually think there's a fair chance Tiote is going to be off anyway so we may need a replacement depending on how Abeid comes on/Raylor's injury because it looks more and more like Anita is never going to be able to make it in that position here.
  12. Aye he's been a revelation at centreback recently. But it's only been a few games and he looked awful there last season so I'm not getting excited just yet.
  13. Thought we were decent enough yesterday. It was just the sort of game we could have tripped up on. We did seem to struggle to come to terms with losing Raylor who had probably been our best player up to that point. Bringing goufrran on to replace him didn't work at all in the first half but we looked much better when he moved out wide. I thought Perez was excellent. He probably should have scored when he was put through but at least he got his effort on target and if you watch it carefully he actually seems to try to lift it too which is promising. I thought Cabella had by far his best game too and can't understand why he was taken off rather than Sammy who had been poor up to that point (although he actually picked up a lot from the goal onwards). As a few of us said the other day Sissoko is our most important player at the moment. His transformation since being moved inside is remarkable.
  14. I thought they both did pretty well defensively. As usual Williamson shat himself whenever he had the ball at his feet but you expect that. Dummett is a lot more comfortable in possession. It has to be said though that QPR didn't pose a massive threat at any point.
  15. Williamson being out of the team recently has been a big part in our revival imo. He shits himself enough when playing with Colo so I'm fucking dreading seeing him with Dummett. I fear he could very easily drag Dummett back to his worst. The likely scenario of not having Tiote or Abeid prottecting in front either just makes things so much worse.
  16. It's interesting to see that we're apparently very strong at coming back from losing positions now. That was something we fucking awful at just a few weeks ago. I agree with Parky, our injuries level this out a lot more than I think it would have been and they aren't that bad (although their defence has looked shite and their passing accuracy isn't the best when I've seen them). It'll be interesting to see how we handle playing a team down the bottom who aren't going to be looking to dominate possession. Regardless of the above, it's generally just very difficult to win five premier league games in a row. It will be very impressive if we manage it.
  17. Aye 100% agree with that but the price they charge for what's basically takeaway food means I wouldn't be tipping there anyway. In answer to the question, it would definitely be Micky Gray. The chance to kick that cunt up a height while pissed up on a stag do would be more than worth the money.
  18. Ok I get you now. I think if he's served his sentence up to the point the judicial system deemed it appropriate for him to serve then that's pretty much him serving his sentence. Either way I think he's served less than what is appropriate for someone convicted of rape.
  19. Maybe it's the wine but I'm not sure how it relates.
  20. I suspect Sheffield were quite happy to agree to the request to test the water. Like I said earlier I doubt he'll play for them again after this reaction.
  21. A few of my mates met Howard Kendall in Magaluf and asked him who the best player he ever managed was. One of them seriously asked him if it was Peter Sutcliffe. He apparently looked very confused until one of the others corrected him that it was actually Kevin Ratcliffe he was thinking of!
  22. It sounds like the case isn't an open and shut abducting some lass off the street, pulling her into a van and raping her sort of case. Calling him a predator for it probably isn't accurate. As NJS said it's more likely that he's a cunt who didn't think through his actions (if those were indeed his actions). That wouldn't make him any less worthy of prosecution and imprisonment but I would think it makes him a lot less dangerous to be let out.
  23. Aye I can imagine if we had Peter Sutcliffe playing for us before his conviction, Ashley would take him back as long as it could make him money!
