When you think about it, England has produced some really good leftbacks over the last 20 - 30 years. Obviously we've not been so strong on the right as shown by the fact that Glen Johnson has over 50 caps!

Given that we are shit and have no chance of winning a world cup then it would be no hardship to me at all to see us boycott. FIFA have it in for us already though so like Andrew says it would achieve nothing unless other big federations joined in. FIFA desperately needs changes though so I would love to see that happen.

Sellars, Mcghee and Goddard are great shouts. Others I would include would be David Kelly (obviously), Gavin Peacock, Glenn Roeder. Possibly Beresford too. I think people have already forgotten just how good he was.

Tiote's fitness is still questionable apparently. Fucking typical that we look like we could be without a shitload of players when up against a team we really need to beat ahead of a nightmare December.

In addition to the films mentioned I also really liked a walk amongst the tombstones and the drop which I saw last night.

I think Taylor was doing well alongside Colo before his injury so I'd probably put him in. Dummett has don't really well in a couple of games but he was also awful there last season. Maybe he just needed a few games to get used to it and he will turn into a decent player for us or maybe he's just a decent run when we've been doing well (he's also looked decent at leftback lately whereas he'd been fucking dreadful before) but I don't really see any reason to put him in instead of a centreback who'd been doing well. If it's a choice between him and Williamson however I'd give him a chance since Willo has been shite all year (well all his career here really).

Is there much need for it when their name is plastered all round the ground already? Would the benefit of having their names on our shirts be greater than the loss of income from Wonga. I assume they have decided not (same as having Wonga pay for the stadium naming rights). Obviously I'm working on the assumption that they woudln't pay us anything if their names were on the shirts.

Was listening to Queen 2 the other day. Their first two albums are excellent. Their 80's stuff became very camp but they still did some very good songs (and albums TBF).

Whoever's mother it is, it's probably their sister too!

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)

A quick Google suggests that's going to be an extremely difficult task. -
Whoever that someone is deserves locking up. There's got to some kind of law against that level of child abuse!

That's good, I thought I missing something there.

I'm not so sure wafa cup via the league is so out of the question. We had a horrendous start to the season and we aren't a kick in the arse off that position now. I'm in no way suggesting that will finish there this season but you currently have Liverpool, Manure & Spurs all looking shite so it's not out of the question that an unfancied team will get at leaset one of the league positions. Given that Ashley has given up the naming rights to Ibrox (which to me suggests he's realised he won't be able use it to advertise SD in Europe) I agree with HF that he'll soon have SD all over their shirts. In which case he'd much rather them be in Europe than us. With us he can just get all the free advertisng from the premier league.

Have you posted that in the right thread?

Dummett will likely be in the team ahead of Haidara once Taylor and/or Williamson are fully fit.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Great article that and nice to see it's not from someone who's a Newcastle fan. It's frankly ridiculous the way some of the pundits have gone and the hypocracy over the way they have gone on about Moyes at Manure or any number of managers at the cockney makems just shows them up the fuckwits they are.- 10610 replies

I think I enjoyed the emotional aspect of it more than the sci fi. I'm not sure whether I find the whole paradox of the sci fi a bit off putting. -
"I knew nothing. I’d only been to London before – and to Leeds because they tried to sign me. But the women were divine....I don’t know how many girlfriends I had in Newcastle. At the beginning I didn’t even understand what they said...." What a bloke!

West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United
David Kelly replied to Howmanheyman's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye there's been no fickleness (that can't be a word can it?) from us at all. Obviously we're happy we're winning and there's been some small praise of him for what he's done during this run but that's it. People just seem to like having a go at us. Fuck them! With regards to the match, it was a pretty poor game for the neutral but a great away performance for us. Dummett continues to be extremely surprising. I've thought he was shit from day one but all of a sudden he looks like a useful player. Colo has also suddenly returned to something like the form we saw a couple of years ago (although I'm not surprised this is happening with Williamson out of the team). And Janmatt is getting better with ever match. What's the makems opinion of him now? I actually thought Cabella was ok and looks to be coming more and more to terms with the league. He's not yet proving to be the player he apparently was in ligue 1, that we were (perhaps unfairly) expecting but I'm happy he seems to be progressing and from the noises he's making it appears he actually wants to knuckle down and improve rather than just complain. -

Interstellar. I think I would say I enjoyed it but I'm not sure about the end. I've seen every film Nolan has directed and this definitely isn't his best. -
I think there was quite a lot of complaints about the team we put out that night. Admittedly they were all before kick off.

When you consider how we were before October you're probably right. Although Chelski look pretty much unbeatable at the minute (I say that not having watched their draw against the mighty Maribor last night).- 10610 replies

Ballotelli has talent but I don't think we'll ever regularly see it under any manager. It's not in his head to do things he needs to do ever really make the most of it. We'll see odd moments of brilliance, the odd mental moment but I think mostly we'll see a player looking pretty disinterested.
