I'd be very worried if Cabaye goes this window. When you look at our results and performances without him this season, they're much poorer than when he's playing. We just don't have anyone in the squad that can drive us forward and pick a pass like he can (not to mention the fact that he's actually a goal threat). Anita is a good player but he just not got that bit extra in an attacking sense that Cabaye has. There also doesn't seem to be any plan that we've heard of for replacing him if he does go (no I don't expect them to be shouting it from the rooftops but the press usually get wind of these sorts of things). Cabella has been mentioned but from what I understand he's more of a winger, that would still leave us short in the middle.

Wolf Of Wall street. Probably about half an hour too long and structured a bit too much like Goodfellas but otherwise excellent. Made me want to try quaaludes which I'm not sure was intended. -

Of course. I meant it was acted rather than a documentary like Senna. I'd had a joint and a few cans by the time I posted that though so my use of English wasn't at it's best! -

12 Years A Slave. Was canny but I really don't see what all the fuss is about (with the film not the story of a free black man getting kidnapped and sold into slavery). It's obvious Oscar bait but it's not a patch on American Hustle as a film. And considering the subject matter I thought it would be a lot more difficult to watch (I only found the last whipping scene hard really). Rush. It felt like a dramatized version of Senna but not really as gripping. -
RIP Trigger was probably the best comic character of my childhood.

I did like the weirdness in Kill List but it had plenty to keep you going throughout. A couple of my mates have watched that and one found it too weird in the end and the the other really liked it but even the one who ended up not liking had reasonably enjoyed it up to the end. AFIE actually seems less weird to me than both Kill List and Sightseers did as I was watching them but there's so little happening I'm finding it hard to stick with. I will finish watching when I've had some sleep though so I'll not make a final decision it until then. -
The trailer for the new season has been on now (apparently had close to ten million hits on youtube already). Clearly they're going to merge the forth and fifth books (which makes perfect sense given the way they're split) and start on them in this coming season. The big problem will arrive in season five if The Winds of Winter isn't released pretty soon and then they are going to have to make up an ending long before A Dream Of Spring is ever released.

I agree with that. I've now tried twice to watch A Field In England and I've fell asleep both times. Managed to watch about 40 minutes and while there's been some funny and weird stuff, I've felt much less engaged with it than I was with Sightseers and Kill List. -
I started watching it last night but I was knackered so I struggled a bit to get into it but it looks promising (it took me about three attempts each with GOT & The Wire to watch the first episodes and they're two of my favourite shows ever so there's plenty of time for this to properly grab me). Woodys hair in the flash back and McConaughey's in the present are both a bit jarring mind.

Still don't think it's a bad tackly. He's not jumped into it, his studds aren't showing, he hasn't raked his studds down his shin or achilies and it's from the side not behind. He's clearly tried to trip him (that in itself can be dangerous as knocking someone down who's going at pace could always cause an ijury in the fall) and it's just a banging together of legs. Some people really need to get a grip but I suppose as they're the favourites for the league that won't happen any time soon. I repeat my view that I think Nasri is a cunt and as such I'm more than happy to bad things happen to people I think are cunts. I would have been happier if he'd missed the world cup tbh. I don't wish any permanent damage to him but to see him miserable as fuck because he's missed Brazil would funny as fuck!
-
Are they claiming the tackle was bad? I heard that Peligrini was whinging about it but I assumed that was just the usual manager shite. I watched it again this morning and can't see anything to complain about. It was a booking and nothing else.

Aye, I'm no fan of our regieme but it makes no sense at all for us to come out and say we're desperate to sign a striker when all it will do is add to price of whoever we try to sign.
-
I'd be more than happy to see us get £3m for him. He's been a good servant to the club (a club that has been a mess for a lot of his time here) and while I agree his end product has never been good enough, he still did a very useful job for us a lot of the time. All the best to him.
-
Well she's a cunt as well though isn't she! I can't stand Nasri, horrible little cunt. Him being out for the rest of the season would give me quite a bit of pleasure.
-
Disapointing because it's really good and because it seems there are a load more stories that could be told and it doesn't seem possible they could all fit into one more season (would no doubt be shit if they tried tbf). Hopefully a spin off comes along with more of Capone, Luciano et al.

Becuase he was my hero in my mid teens when he kept us from division 3 and he invited the Warriors to come out to play.

We weren't miles away from them on their title winning season. Toure just seemed to turn it up near the end and we couldn't cope with him. I was hoping he was injured on Wednesday but although he never looked like he totally recovered there's been no noises of him being out .

If I remember rightly from reading all of the Conan Doyle stories, there was never any real explanation for how Holmes survived his fall from the waterfall. It was originally supposed to be the end of the character until fans kicked up so much of a fuss he was brought back. I think the lack of any explanation in the new series has as much to with there never being an original answer as anything else.

Neither of them have been up with the best eps they've done but it's still a lot better than most of the shite BBC & ITV put out these days.

All players are just temporary for us lets face it. They see us as a stepping stone to bigger and better paying clubs. Most of them don't actually seem to be able to sustain the form that would see these bigger clubs coming in for them though!

I've had my Ipod Touch for a few years now (I think its the last version before they started having cameras in them) and never had a moments bother with it. Yesterday afternoon (after using it in the morning) I tried to swith it on but nothing happened. I assumed I'd left it unlocked and it had ran out so I stuck it onto my charger and left it for a while but when I went back to it still nothing happened. I tried plugging it into my laptop and it did seem to recognise that I had attached something but there was still no life at all in the ipod. This morning I've tried attaching it to my computer at work and the same has happened only this time I tried opening itunes at the same time. When I did this it said that it's detected an iphone (it's not it's an ipod, I'm not sure if this makes a difference to itunes these days) in recovery mode that needs to be restored. When I try and do this though, it tells me that 'Software for this iphone is nor currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes and try again.' I've updated itunes and it's still coming back with the same message. I've also tried reseting it using the home button and the on/off swich on top and nothing's happening there either. Anyone heard of anything similar to this and got any ideas? I've had a few older version ipods die on me before but there's always been warnings that somethings wrong before it happening but this time everything's seemed fine before yesterday. I suspect I'm going to hear I'm fucked but if anyones got any ideas I'd appreciate it.

American Hustle - One of the best films I've seen in ages. Really funny and excellently acted. Like the fact that Amy Adams didn't own a single top with buttons on it. Upstream Color - Latest from the director of Primer. Not a clue what was going on. -

Dracula - Hammer version that was on the other night. Didn't enjoy it much at all despite Peter Cushing being very good. Sightseers - second film I've seen of Ben Wheatleys recently and I've really enjoyed them both with this edging Kill List. I've got A Field In England recorded too so I'm looking forward to that. Troll Hunter - more of a comedy than I was expecting but probably the best example of the found footage film I've seen. -
Don't ask CT for dieting tips.

I really can't see where the complaints for the two sending off''s come from. For me the first booking for Whelan was for kicking the ball away which he quite clearly did (they're not always given as seen by the fact that Shawcross didn't get booked for twatting the ball into the Gallowgate in the second half, but that doesn't make it any less right) and then he was wound up by Cabaye and kicked out at him. Two stupid things for him to do which deservedly lead to his dismissal. For the second sending off the ref had not choice. He illegally prevented a goal scoring chance so he has to go. I do think they were unlucky with first two goals like. Nine times out of ten you would expect a handball to be given against Williamson in the lead up to the first and for me the whole ball was out for the second (this wasn't the refs fault anyway like, the linesman is the only one who could have given that). But then again it looked like a stonewall pen against Haidara to me so there's some evening out there anyway. We certainly were fortunate that they lost their heads and had those two sent off because we were looking very poor before then. I was reasonably confident in our ability to not play two halves alike and so get back into the game in the second half like. Anyway we get more than enough decisions going against us (two pens and sending off missed against Swansea immediately spring to mind) so I really don't give a fuck that we got something going our way for a change.
