There's nothing more certain than that. And no one could blame him!
-
He wasn't shit at all, he was just the only poor fucker trying to defend most of the time. But yes he wasn't a patch on Albert.
-
That reads as Arry trying to drum up interest in him tbh. Surprised if that's needed like but it's nice to see him divulging his own players release clauses instead of other teams for a change!

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
I find it hard to get excited about any news about the club at the minute so the usual transfer drivel is having no impact on me at all. -

Journal isn't it. -
Peacock was streets ahead of Dabizas. Actually Peacock must be one of our most underrated players ever. That said, Howey for the couple of seasons he was on his game and got an England call up would have been our next best centreback under Keegan.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Ben Arfa and Cisse (who stand out as prime examples of Pardew's poor management) certainly, not sure about Krul or Tiote so much especially as I don't think Tiote's was ever as high as some of us though. Taylor's never had much of a value and Colo's age (and desire to return to Argentina)would make his value plummet anyway. I suppose when we try and sell HBA and Cisse in the summer and can't get near what we thought, then the fat cunt might realise what Pardew's done.- 10610 replies

Aye I think you're righ there.

There are quite a few characters that have been added to the cast for this season that don't appear until book 4 & 5 so I think it's safe to assume they are going to get into those book by the end of this season. Although per the books, Jamie and Brienne shouldn't be in Kings Landing yet so they're obviously changing some the timeline of some things. Also from memory, the last scene of the first episode doesn't take place until right at the end of book 3 at the earliest.
-
They're not. It's another clan who are. The Thenn's are probably the most organised of all the Wildlings in the books iirc.

I can't believe that we make Ashley enough that he wouldn't bite the hand off anyone who offered him something that met his valuation. He certainly seems to have very little interest in actually running the club. The issue is that he's going to want about £300m to go and that sort of money (especially when you consider how much extra would have to be put into the team before we'd have a chance to compete for a champions league spot) is the stuff of Billionaires. And there really isn't an endless supply of Billionaire's wanting to own football clubs.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
The issue with Ashley replacing Pardew is that there seems to be no interest at all from Ashley in how the team is performing. As long as we're in the premiership and raking the tv money in there's very little reason for him to get rid of Pardew. I can only see two scenario's in which Pardew is sacked. We go down or we start losing money on players (as HF say's) due to Pardew's inability to get them to perform to their ability. The latter scenario would probably only come about after the previous though. So that's something to look forward to!- 10610 replies

Freddie couldn't afford to buy us back could he?

Or maybe she's not and that's why it's interesting. Or maybe I meant it was interesting because of the Hound liking chicken!

The conversation between Aria and The Hound before they went into the tavern was brilliant.
-
His performances have been poor recently. As the article suggests, you have to wonder whether he want any part of this shite!

The atmosphere was by far the worst I've ever witnessed against Manure. Back in the 80's before they won everything, it was still a massive game and the atmosphere was fantastic but there was none of that on Saturday. There is an sense of resignation in the air at the moment. It seems that very few people believe that we will ever achieve anything under Ashley or (more importantly) that we can get him out. Back in the days before Hall and Shepherd, there was always the belief that we could get rid of McKeag and co and replace them with someone who had the vision to take the club forward. Now that doesn't seem to be the case at all. It's an extremely depressing state to be in.

I do enjoy a good binge watch but with True Detective I got back into the pleasure of waiting for the next episode each week.

Cracking start to the new season. Some excellent one liners from The Hound and a great last scene (interesting too given the most reason chapter from the new book that's been released).
-
It's as bad as anything in the relegation season now. And our manager seems equally as clueless as the one we had for the most of that season too.

Absolute shambles. There's no way this clown would get away with this shite for any other owner. Thank fuck our owner doesn't give a fuck about the club at all.- 10610 replies

I wouldn't care but Manure will no doubt rest a load of their key players because of the Munich game. It's a great time to play them but this prick is already waving the white flag. What an absolute cunt he is.- 10610 replies

In terms of Kinnear as a manager I think it was something like panic on his part, thinking he needed someone quickly when Keegan left and Kinnear was obviously someone he knew and trusted at the time. I don't think we'd be in the same position (ie we're safe from relegation which is really his only concern) so he'd have more time to make a considered choice. The bloke clearly isn't a moron or he wouldn't have achieved what he has with Sports Direct but he doesn't know a lot about football. There's clearly still a risk but I just doubt it would be a complete clusterfuck. As for who would come, well clearly we couldn't attract a top manager but I'm sure there's plenty of good coaches who get more from the players than Pardew who would jump at the chance to manage a premiership team that gets the third highest attendances in the country even if it does mean working for him.- 10610 replies
