Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm far from convinced Big Ron would be worse than Pardew at this stage. For all the hysteria about Kinnear, I do doubt he would appoint someone of that ilk again. For all I don't really think he gives much of a flying fuck about the club, I don't think he'd intenionally employ incompetence.- 10610 replies

The time has definitely come to get shot of him now. Without Cabaye he clearly has no idea of how to put a team together (even with Cabaye he's struggled on plenty of occasions) and doesn't seem at able to get us to do anything positive with no Remy on the pitch. I wonder if any other manager in our history has ever been in charge of so many three goal + defeats (especially ones that have almost all been complete walk overs). I do fear who Ashley would bring in but now it's becoming less and less believable that whoever it would be could be so ineffective.- 10610 replies

I know its wrong but I can't be only one laughing at the midget bird celebrating the arsenal goal.

These cunts shouldn't get paid this week. Without doubt the most gutless, incompetent performance if ever seen from us. There's very little in the clubs playing, coaching or management staff I have any interest in seeing remain at the club.
-
Ben Arfa on the right (which is the only position he's played well for us) and Sissoko in the middle in place of Anita for me. That only leaves the problem of still having De Jong on the pitch until Remy is back (which might be Saturday I'm reading now).

Chelsea, Citeh and the bin dippers are bottom half? They must have had a bad night!
-
Too many players out there just weren't up to the job (doesn't help when three or four of them are playing out of position and others are being asked to play in a way that doesn't suit them) but really it's unfair to pick out any one player when there was really only Cisse and Tiote who had anything like an acceptable game last night. The season ended with the sale of Cabaye and when out two next best players are out as well we look largely inept. Without those three players all season we'd have been in a relegation battle without doubt. And there's a strong chance that all of those players won't be available to us next term.

Andre Marriner Will Referee Southampton v Us On Saturday
David Kelly replied to Andrew's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think Dermott Gallacher was saying yesterday that the card can't be overturned because it wasn't something like a clear and obvious mistake that about the ball going wide. If that is the rules then he's right AOC shouldn't have got it recinded because he clearly thought the ball was going in or he wouldn't have dived full length to tip it wide so it's not a clear and obvious mistake. The ref justtifiably thought he stopped a goal. Clearly the FA are pandering to Arsenal for the cock up in sending the wrong man off. At least 60% of the teams in the league woudln't get that card overturned. -
We seen against Fulham how well we do against teams that are on a bad run so I fully expect a defeat. That said they won't play like Palace did on Saturday so that might mean that our woefully slow build up play isn't as much of a problem and maybe Cisse is at the start of a goal bliz!
-
Cisse really deserved that goal. The miss from Mbiwa's ball was awful but other than that all his efforts were pretty good and he kept looking for the ball. Hopefully it's the start of him scoring again.

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Lukaku has been on loan for the last two seasons and we currently have two internationals of good european countries on loan and Everton have Barry too. Without giving it any thought there's four. Players are going out on loan all the time. -
The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread

I can't understand why it's taken the fat cunt so long to twig on to the loan idea. If we were to pay £14m for Remy on a four year contract that's £3.5m a season (excluding wages) with most likely next to no sell on value for him at the end (given his age). Compare that to the loan fee we've paid for him for this season (£1m?) and it makes much more sense to him to just loan players. -
Got BTILC on Bluray for Christmas. I never tire of it and Kim Cattrall was gorgeous back then.

They can wreck me mothers not mine But I'm talking about if you are in a situation where you're financially fucked in any way. In that situation a wrecked credit rating wouldn't be a massive concern to me. And if I'm honest, there's not a lot other than a financial meltdown that would make me want to jack my ticket in.
-
This is pretty much me. As stupid and illogical as it may be, I really can't see myself ever stopping going so if I can get it cheaper I might as well. I've had a season ticket since well before Hall and Shepherd turned up so it's not like I got it to make sure I could get every ticket in the first place because it was piss easy to get them back then. As for what happens if someone can't afford it, realistically what are they going to do to force you to pay for it? People default on loans and credit cards and the like all the time. If banks and huge lending companies can't force you to pay, I doubt Newcastle United can.

The Damned United. Don't know why I'd not fancied watching this for so long as it's excellent. I don't know how true a lot of it is and I know there's certainly Leeds fans who to me missed the point that it was all about how Clough saw things and not necessarily how they really were. But whatever the accuracy I thought it was really funny and Sheen was bang on as Clough. I've borrowed the book to have a read of now too. -

I think the 3D was amazing making it something special in the cinema. In time though it will be pretty much forgotten as beyond the amazing technical stuff, it's nothing special in terms of story and wont reward repeated viewings. -
No not really joking at all. Well out of it now though although I'm technically still married.
-
They are that bad I thought we were nailled on to get beat. Now with those two out it's even more certain!
-
You're joking though aren't you! If I waited for enthusiasm I would have never had sex for the whole of my marriage!

Oldboy. Pointless american version of the classic Korean film. Was fairly surprised to see that the most of the ending remained intact but really Elizabeth Olsen's tits are about the only decent thing about it. Doubt. Fantastic acting all round unsurprisingly and a pretty decent film (although I don't think there was much doubt in the end). The black lads's mothers reaction was more than a bit odd to my mind like. -
Unfortuntately if you show no ambition players like Remy won't sign for us. It doesn't say anything bad about them (quite the opposite really). Our only hope is to sign players who can use us to improve and then move on to a club that has ambition.

Didn't know there was a comic. Is it linked to this or does it just have the same name? At the end of the day I don't suppose it matters if the next season is completely different as long as the quality remains the same.
-
No I think that's right but I was just assuming there would be something tying them together otherwise it's not really the same show is it? Same name but with, a different story, set of characters and cast doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It's not like they've set it in some kind of alternate world that a new story could be set in but it would be still recongnizable as the same program. They might as well just call it something else but say it's from the makers of True Detective.
