Tell No One is one of the best films I've seen in years. -
We were fairly poor for me yet still comfortably controlled the game. Colo once again looked different class to the players at this level. I thought no one in the east stand had washed in the first half because Guthrie seemed to be trying to stay as far away from the touch line as possible. The only way we can look anything like a good is with two wingers and stretching the pitch as wide as possible. Gutherie is incapable of doing this. Carrol was shite again and Best looks reasonably tidy but no better than Ranger if I'm honest. Raylor is wank.

Whilst I don't think we are any great shakes at all (especially in the centre of midfield), I disagree with those saying we'd get pissed on with this team if we went up. I you look at a lot of the teams who have been promoted recently (the likes of Hull, Burnley and Wolves), they are centainly no better than us. Admittedly they are wank and fighting against relegation but I think we have enough in the team even as we currently are to possibly stay up. Granted that isn't exactly and exciting prospect especially given that the fat fuck is likely to sell our better players in a heartbeat if he stays.

Purely based on what we've seen of him so far, WR would have got a game when we had Milner and N'Zogbia. He looks more productive for us than either were. Admittedly in a weak division (and milner is playing better for villa than he ever did for us) and I'm pissed. Not saying he will do great but he's always showed potential and still has a chance. Btw for the money he will be on is good enough for what our ambitions should be. As it's back up money. We shouldn't be spending £30k a week on any player at the moment. I hate Ashley and Dekka and think the previous regeime looks much better now than I thought at the time but this is clearly the case now (if caused by the cuurent boards poor management) and sensible and good business.

Am I too old to pull an eighteen year old lass?
-
Am I unfair on Jonas? He ran their defence ragged, had them in his pocket.....but still didn't have any end product aa far as I could see. In his few games at the club Routledge has already scored as many and probably provided as many assists as Jonas has all season. I thought he thoroughly deserved man of the match. Jonas set up Lovenkrands with a very good ball for that header the keeper made a good save from and put him through when Wright got booked and fizzed in a few more decent balls that we didn't quite get a good connection on in the second half. But I think Routledge will supply more goals by the end of the season.

Better passer than any of our other midfielders and a lot more mobile too. Been a while since I've seen him like.

Yeh but neither was Woodgate I know its early days but i can see quite a few similarities between Woodgate and Williamson. Promising. You're obviously not bothered about getting your name changed back with these sorts of wind ups are you?

So the vibe I'm picking up here is unreserved excitment right?

Wonderland 8/10. Cracking film about John Holmes and the Wonderland Avenue murders. -
Fuck me I thought I was dead there for a second. Turns out I'm just stuck in makemland but I'm sure it feels about the same.

If he's as good as he was rated at Watford then he will be a perfectly adaquate signing for cover at least. As long as this doesn't mean the end of Colo or Taylor then I am all for it. And the Curtis Davies thing was always going to be ridiculous. If he goes anywhere he is going to want to be guaranteed a starting place and we have absolutely no reason to change our starting centre halfs, our success so far this season has been based on our back four.
-
Nice to see him finally getting some recognition although I don't know how much it benefits us. He's comfortably the best player in this league for me and you still get pricks like Gary Birtles saying he would love to play against him because he always gives you a chance. Clown.

Players of the Season : Jose Enrique, best player in this league as far as I'm concerned. League Position : Feared with all the troubles we'd be down the bottom so I can only be delighted with first. Cup progress : Don't really care, we can't win either of them with this squad. Performance/Result of the season : Ipswich away or the first half against Swansea. Don't think we've really been on fire in any game though. Goal : Jonas for the run and the fact that he at last scored. Pleasant surprises : Colo. I thought he'd never recover his confidence here but he has and he's a class above this league. Dissapointments : Ashley still being here and facing another shite transfer window.

The most one sided game between two teams in the same division I've seen in a very long time. Krul must have been freezing because he had fuck all to do all night. Not that we played spectacularly well but they were fucking gash. Colo took the piss it was so easy and Jonas and Jose absolutely destroyed there right side. Enrique actually looked like when you have a fast player on FIFA and just press the sprint button, he made their whole team look like they were standing still. Lovenkrands did well too but I thought Carrol was poor and Butt and Pancrate were wank. Smith and Gutherie should walk back into the team for monday as should Simpson.

Another game where we were passed off the park but never looked like slipping up. Swansea were better than most of the teams we've played though and looked more like they could create some chances but with strikers like Beatie it's always going to lessen their threat. Colo and Ricky are more and more looking like they are playing beneath themselves at this level (shame Colo looked like he was playing at a level too high last season). Harewood is wank. I would be happy if he played like that and scored two goals every game but usually he will just play like that. I'm desperate for Ranger to get a goal or two so there won't be any reason left to play Harewood ahead of him. Pancrate certainly looks to have a lot of pace (one of the key things we are lacking) but his decision making looks iffy. You really would expect a player to shoot from a wide angle rather than lay one on a plate for Alan (I'll never score another goal in my life) Smith.

Another who I would expect to do well in this division although I've always suspected he has a bit of an attitude problem. Diomansy that is, not Chris! -
I see the Sunday Sun was saying this is good news for us as they were sniffing around Vukic. Funnily enough I'd heard (indirectly) from that Money who runs the juniors that they'd made three attempts to get him from us this summer. Apparently he's rated extremely highly to the point that he's not far away from the national team despite is age and lack of games. It's belived he will be class player very shortly.
-
is that not about signing him on a permanent deal? Was about a loan because it also mentioned the Northern Ireland guy Re read it, he was clearly talking about permanent deals for both of them.
-
Was just about to ask if Mitchell was the bearded bloke. For some reason I have a positive memory of him and didn't think Walker was too bad either. The others were gash. Was Rob McDonald on loan too or did we actually sign him?
-
Can't say I'm at all unhappy about that given I don't get much oppertunity to go to away games these days although Preston and Sheffield were two I had some hopes of getting to. I might see if some of the lads fancy a night away like.

How old is Henri Camera now? I would think if he's still of a decent age he is one who could do well in this league. -
I had him down as my mom in the first half but he was quieter in the second (when we were attacking more so he didn't have to be as good) when I thought Smith and Ranger edged him out. So far I think he's been excellent defensively and pretty good (although in the second half of last season he was better) in attack. Having the likes of Geremi in front of him certainly isn't going to help him in anyway though. Can't understand how anyone could think he was poor either on Monday or at all this season but some of my mates thought Ranger was poor so I suppose everyone sees different things.

I dont' think we've had a good one yet have we? I still think we will bring some more players in on either free's or loans. I noticed they were going on about Bentley's situation at Spurs with Arry basically stating he has no future there anymore. Might be worth a try to get him. He wouldn't be able to get anywhere better now and they might be happy even to get a percentage of his wage away. -

I'm amazed he hasn't sold anyone else - it actually gives me a ridiculously optimistic view that something might be happening with the sale. I think get Xisco out was a stroke of look on the outgoing front. I wonder how much of his wage they a paying.
