  1. out: Pattison, Ameobi in: Arshavin, Ashton (send big Al over personally as he's Ashton's idol 10m) Also, if Man Utd end up getting Masherano, a cheeky 10-15m bid for Carrick would be interesting. Bring the lad home.
  2. Are you trying to say Viduka is twice as slow as everyone else? If the team stopped kicking the ball at his head or 15 yard infront of him Viduka wouldn't be wasted, he's lazy but he's got some skill. Look at that back heal dink he played the other night to Duff, if he of pulled the trigger it would of been a great attempt on goal, instead he wait and had it taken off his toe. What was terrible about Milner's peformance against citeh was he played the full ninety minutes on the right and had probably his worse game this season. Why the fuck, regardless of what side he plays on, does he feel the need to turn inside of his defender? It is the easiest job for a defender to turn inside, the ball is passing the front of them, on their natural foot and tackle!!! Whereas, go round them and they have to use their weaker foot and also maintain balance and then accelerate to catch the player going past them. It's fucking school boys level football. I wasn't knocking Viduka's skill, and much like Kluivert who was never played the way he should have been, he needs it to feet in and around the box like Bergkamp/Kanu to make use of what he has to offer. I was just adding Viduka to the list of midfield and attacking players who lack pace =)
  3. haha, imagine if we did still have Bowyer, along with Smith, Barton and Butt. Couldn't really think of many dirtier cunts in the league...
  4. Agreed. You're both shitting me. I agree about Roeder being better than Souness in the similar time frames they were in, but Roeder couldn't motivate a bunch of rapists in a dark ladies changing-room. Remember the 2nd leg of the AZ match? Shit, getting that West-Ham team relegated and if it wasn't for Oba and Sibierski we would have gone down last season =/
  5. Milner is more effective on the left but I agree that he needs to add a final delivery to his game otherwise he will just be run-of-the-mill. Our team is so one-paced when Milner, Smith, Butt, Viduka, Barton, Geremi, Emre, Viduka are around. We need that extra bit of quality and pace out wide like Zog offers us from left back! I hope this problem is addressed in this transfer window because it is the difference between us and teams like Aston Villa, Pompey, Man City and Spurs at the moment (we wish this was the only problem!). We need pace and creativity and this doesn't come cheap. If this problem isn't addressed by Sam or the next man we can only hope for mid-table football.
  6. Didn't Wenger's indestructables play with two anchor-men in the middle? well, anchormen who could also get up and down like world-class athletes =/
  7. It was never a send off, at worse a yellow card but there was no way in hell he would of been sent off. wasn't he last man and it was a goal-scoring opportunity? I don't agree that it should warrant a sending off but the rules say so don't they? I've seen many instances where this rule has been applied, Zat Knight vs Chelsea not long ago for example.
  8. could have been a whole different result if the officials had done their job just like at Stamford Bridge a few days ago =/ Talking about the Onouha foul on Duff which should have resulted in his sending off and not offside to Duff who was clearly onside imo. Things just aren't going for us. We aren't playing well but cmon, luck is such an important factor in this game, heck if it wasn't for luck Man Utd wouldn't have won the treble. Let's just hope that in 2008 the players show more fight and resilience and we get some more run of the ball, with or without Allardyce in the job.
  9. just saw the game. Thought we were the better side in the first half and if Martins wasn't so low in confidence we may have been ahead. Things really havn't gone our fucking way recently (apart from Smith and Barton not being involved today) as they should have had ten men one minute before they scored =/ Things like this many people don't take into consideration, like the fucking abomination of a decision that cost us a more than deserved point at stamford bridge. In the second half after Owen's chance in the first minute we looked poor. Thought all our attacking players went missing and that surge Cacapa made right up to the other end of the pitch told it's own story. I'd like to think that it's just because of our confidence that we are performing so badly but I think Sam's a dead man walking and he only has himself to blame after that shite against Derby x2, Reading, Wigan, Pompey and Liverpool. I think the players have let him down and I'd give him until the end of the season but I'm not so sure this will happen =/.
  10. in fact, Fuck it, if the 2nd half of this season goes like the first and we see no more improvement from BFSA then I'd go for it, Shearer in the summer, why the fuck not?! no-one else in their right mind would come to us
  11. To be honest, I think he'd make a good manager, but not here first of all =/ I'd like to think he would have picked up something useful from the likes of Sir Bobby, Venables, Hoddle, Keegan, heck even Dalglish, and learn how not to do things from Souness. I reckon he'd be a Mark Hughes type and get a couple of useful wingers performing week in week out to a big man or two in the box with a steely grit about the core of the side.....
  12. nice to see Emre start for a change
  13. I reckon if we brought in a manager who tried to use tactics to suit the players and began to play them in the correct position we'd see an immediate improvement. I know they've spent more money than us but City have went through all the same changes as us and haven't done too badly. But they got Dunne and Richards as CBs remember =)
  14. it can also send you spiralling into depression and spending far too much time on here =/
  15. I've seen Martins play well out wide for at least 2 games. Well as in, better than any of our other attacking options.
  16. I;d like to see if Barton improves what has been a properly average start to his toon career. Not smith please, no captain should have a fucking peroxide streak on his head. Agree however that it means fuck all except for perhaps inspiring the one with the armband on...
  17. If we get Arshavin, Fred, and a solid defender I will be delighted
  18. As soon as I clutched Pedro's hand when I was a mascott at the Gary Mabbutt testimonial game at WHL I knew that I was a mag! 12-Aug-95
  19. no pressure. would be funny if the kid turned out to be a gay Milanese fashion designer =)
  20. To be fair to Martins I thought he has played alright as a wide forward in the last couple of games against Arsenal and Birmingham. Didn't see today's game so I can't comment on this but with a little bit more drilling he could be very useful there, always a threat with the ball over the top, can whip a cross in, and get it too his feet to scare many fullbacks/big lumbering centre-backs in the league. Not only this but he is a committed little bugger and he chases down many lost causes.
  21. He went there when we got Souey didn't he? wouldn't have minded if we got Hughes instead of Souey and we had Bentley and McCarthy in the black and white =)
  22. Hughes has had how many years in the Blackburn job? how many of those players did Hughes buy?
  23. Would they sell him to us tho? if Sunderland go down, i'd LOVE him to come here in the summer. I just wouldnt want to pay over the odds, him and Martins would be a handful for any defence in the prem.
  24. poor lad must have been TANGOED as a nipper =/
