Leipzig in Germany who are playing in a lower league though.

No class. It has to do with last season when Robben missed the title deciding penalty though http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=TPnywYYRvBM&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DTPnywYYRvBM

Or the one they were wearing when they won in 1975 and 1976.... ;-)

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Isegrim replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
"There has been a great deal of speculation in recent weeks but our desire, as we announced back in September, is to bring long-term mediocrity to this club. It's up to us all now to work closely as a team to ensure next season sees us lumbering in the bottom half of the table again."- 10610 replies

The lack of depth of the squad has been the boards fault and not made Pardew's easy. Still the awful performances and the criminal missuse of some players are foremost down to the manager. With this squad we should be nowhere near the relegation zone even considering bad luck and/or injuries.

Newcastle Ban Mackem Journo Luke Edwards

Unless it is the same PR agency and their "public relations exercises" they relied on in the Keegan case ... -
Pardew can fuck off either back to the 80s or to a lower league with his negative football.

You must not turn pages on history. History is to learn from, not to forget about. The Keegan times weren’t just an exception but an example of what you can achieve if you get the place buzzing. That’s why Ashley was right to appoint Keegan again – and it was his biggest mistake to piss him off. Ashley and Llambias still seem to have neither a clue about football nor the club they own/run. They chose that it is more important to try to get the finances right by selling tacky stuff via the club shop, the name of the stadium or piss off club legends than to care about the history of the club. That’s where I think they are totally wrong, because it is something you can achieve even without paying over the odds but by just have a philosophy that matches the club.

They are still the same people who replaced Keegan with Kinnear though...

Did Simpson's gestures before the throw in mean that his team mates should come close because he can't throw that far?

You hardly can get a decent atmosphere in the Olympic stadium - even when it is full. Berlin is of course worth a visit, but for a good crowd I'd go to Union Berlin in the Alte Försterei. They are bit like the eastern Germany/Berlin version of St. Pauli.
-
Berlin got relegated and are playing in an half empty stadium, don't think it would be a nice match day experience... In the 1. Bundesliga I'd just stay clear of Augsburg, Fürth, Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg and Stuttgart (although depending on the game) for a good matchday experience. I'll give more detailed informations about teams if you want to.

The fixure list is always announced about at least two months in advance ("planning"). With the original one being in Munich, going to a Hofbräuhaus in Hamburg would be like going to New Zealand to drink Australian wine. Something only someone would do who probably also eats Sauerkraut (i.e. no one in his right state of mind).

Awful. -
Exactly. Ben Arfa is a player you build a team around. He should not be exempt of criticism but i hate this nonsense that every player should get treated the same. Ben Arfa has more footballing ability in his little toe than the whole lot of Simpson, Ameobi, Taylor, Obertan etc combined. And because of that should get treatment worth his talent. You should try to get the best out of this kind of player for the better of the team. It might not work out, but I haven't seen it given a real try yet and Ben Arfa given a fair amount of chances.
-
I'd be surprised if Ben Arfa is still here next season, Pardew doesn't like keeping things in house does he? I thought there was absolutely no need for him to come out in public and say Benny hasn't really grasped English football yet. He was only playing 4 weeks of 10/11 and minus injuries 4 months this season. I think he just doesn't fancy him. Pards likes attacking football which is a positive, but the way he plays the side means the players can be as attacking as they like, as long as they work like fuck, in my view Pards thinks the penny will never fully drop with Benny, and he'll be away by July. That's my prediction. The game was exactly like I said it would be, it's humiliating losing 5-0, but completely expected with a centre midfield containing two Watford level players. Perch, I mean it wasn't like he was doing complicated things wrong, FIVE YARD passes, TEN YARD passes and he couldn't dee it. Guthrie it's a shame cos he's got reasonable technique, but hes too slow and thinks too slow, against players like Modric and Krancjar who are so good they know which passes they are making before the ball is even at their feet, well it was fucking obvious, people saying we had a chance are just deluded. The fact is the squad is not big enough, we need someone to compete with Cabaye and Tiote, are we a big enough club to have decent competition for places? We should be. Are you sure about that? Our football under Pardew seems very efficient, but I can't really say there's any indications there about him liking to play attacking football. Must be frustrating for the likes of Cabaye tbh, getting lured to Newcastle by the promise to change the style the team plays only to get taught hoofball in the end
-
Great result, really lucky though. Excellent league position. I lost count how many times this season we have been extremely poor but very lucky. It's also the reason why I remain very sceptical about Pardew because I dread the day our luck wears out.
-
Perch for Ben Arfa with Ameobi staying on? Seriously, Pardew should get done for crime against football.
-
Still got about 9 in 17 this season didn't he? 7 in the first 9 games, don't get me wrong, he is a good player when he is on top of his form
-
Good Player, was heavily linked with a move to Bayern here. He was fantastic last season. He started to struggle a bit, probably Freiburg were relying on him a bit too much. If he adapts to English football and rediscovers his best form he will be a big step up from hardly Best and Shola.
