It might be fatalism, but it's the reality of the situation we face. I'd be astonished if we don't lose three senior strikers in the summer, to replace them is unlikely enough, to replace four is near impossible. See, I think that replacing Shola is quite easy. There are loads of strikers in the british Divisions of the same quality (and likely to be on smaller wages), nevermind in the European leagues. If Shola had proved himself in any way in the last couple of years the decision would make sense, but he proved to be an unreliable, injury prone donkey with only few glimpses of talent. He deserves being sacked for not understanding the offside rule anyway. -

Giving Shola a new contract because there might not be anyone else from the current setup left is fatalism but not reason. -
Spurs, Blackburn and Pompey would be a dream.

Would be nice to see 'arry getting more or less two teams relegated this season.

I got this too.

Whatever Shay's main motives were, it demonstrates to me how unhappy even former loyal servants are with the club and how low team moral and spirit is - they can do as much go-karting as they want. And that's the worst thing, what you really not need in a relegation battle is players unhappy at the club and therefore not really up for the fight. Geordie boy Taylor can pretend otherwise as much as he wants. I fear we are doomed, as teams with players used to these kind of situations are at least up for it and will show the necessary amount of passion.

"Iv got love for you if you were born in the 80's....the 80's" Thats probably why i think your a cockend then.... No animosity here. I just think you're a bit thick. The thick or summink will inherit the world apparently. It's just the kingdom of heaven, isn't it. It's bad enough that I'll have to cope with them when I am dead, so they should leave me alone while I am alive tbh.

How's that? Player sales, TV income, season tickets? As bad as he is in running the club but where is the indication that he is personally making profit from it? So far he has only been trying to balance the books and by this reduced the value of the club (his investment), but he has not really withdrawn any money for himself.

How's that?

They are both "kraut" Indeed, they both have their headquarters in the same town. No wonder as their founders were brothers...

Tbh Butt is nowadays such a liabilty that there is absolutely no justification for his wages, especially not to prolong his contract on these terms. Any half decent youngster with potential should be able to offer the same. Even with all of the (few) central midfielder already at the club Butt should be miles off a place in the starting XI.

positive thinking mate You mean your post was the result of brain activity?

It's bizarre to see how they conducted the whole transfer dealings. They started talking about the investment into the team and to strengthen it early in December. Then all the hopes have to rely on some late signings on the last day of the window. It's not that they had to spend huge amounts. Schalke sold in Fabian Ernst a very reliable midfielder for just 4m Euro yesterday. That's about the fees you have to pay to get players of decent quality from Europe that would definitely have added strength to the squad. Numpties, the lot of them.

The fuckwit claims he wants 16 or 17 points as quickly as possible - even if we get 9 from the 3 remaining winnable home games we're fucked - I'd love to know which away games he thinks we have the slightest chance of winning. Exactly my thinking. I can't see where the necessary points are coming from and am resigned that we will get relegated.
