I saw about the first 45 minutes of Titanic once before turning it off. Rubbish! What happens in the end by the way? 67111 I was dragged into it by a woman. When DiCaprio finally drowns I sighed and said "About time." I got "the stare" of about ten sobby teenagers in the row in front of us...

Special mention should go to "Truman Show" a great idea that was spoilt by the stupid grimacing of an incompetent actor.

If they are legit quotes it is a bit off spin isn't it? Or with other words - shifting the blame. I think it's a funny that he says those players he signed are capable to finish in the top 6. Strangely those players from the "rotten" squad were even finishing in the top 4... What would you rather have: A squad of spoilt brats who now and then appear in the headlines of the tabloids but getting results or a squad of choir boys who play crap... 67102 How about a squad of decent lads that play well? Or is it a straight choice between employing arseholes or playing shit that's on offer? 67113 No, it's the choice between the squad that Souness first described as the best squad he ever worked with (and then slagged off) and the current one. Of course I'd like to see a squad of players who are playing well and also give free piano lessons to homeless children in their spare time...

A quote's a quote. I know you think that any and everything the papers print about Laurent Robert is just rank xenophobia though. 67083 Nope just from papers like the S*n, Daily Mail or NOTW et al who use selective or creative quoting. For Souness' full quotes with proper quotation marks: http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=33...+squad+problems

Hmmm... Guess that means it's gonna happen then? 66769 HMMMM......smart arse 66920 Does the obvious really need to be pointed out? 66925 This from the bloke who started a thread on the strength of a non-quote from the Sunday People yesterday. 66926 This from the bloke who uses "quotes" from the NOTW.

Is that what your mam told you when you got your lunch money nicked? 66776 No, I learned to fight back, and have since found it applies to adults as much as kids. Seriously, Souness is a cowardly bully: FACT. 66780 FACT. Renton likes it up the bum: FACT. 66782 Gemmill stole Renton's lunch money. FACT.

Must be a lack of Robert quotes today...

I've never been a fan of Bowyer but I can understand that it must be frustrating for him being behind a "footballer" like Amdy Faye in the pecking order. That's a bit like being beaten by Craig Bellamy in a beauty contest.

To be fair, on TV it looked like Shearer was on a wind-up-mission. He was not only lucky to escape a booking (or more) for the late challenge on Campbell, but on three or four other occasions.
-
The players put in a lot of effort and so made up for the lack of individual skills and an organised team play. It was a nice win, but still too few chances created. Arsenal look a bit half-arsed these days, playing some nice football and dominating in the first 30 mins but then weren't able to cope with Newcastle's aggression. What the win means remains to be seen. With two away fixtures coming up it could be just another false dawn.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch Herr Sned.

Still, I wouldn't mind winning games on a more regularly... I'm happy about the win today (that I predicted) and I'm also sort of happy about the performance today, at least the team showed some determination. Though, I'd like to watch a Newcastle game again were I really can enjoy the football played by the men in black and white. As nice as the win is, but it came from the only shot on target in the whole 95 mins. I want to see Newcastle dominating other teams more often and not just relying on single goals.

I think it isn't as harmless as you put it. If you have your shoulder dislocated once there is the risk that it will happen again because of the complexitiy of the muscle system in the shoulder. And the chance of a full recovery gets worse the more often you dislocates your shoulder. That's why it shouldn't be taken too lightly as much as I know.
-
When did the injury happen, at the start of November IIRC. That's 4-5 weeks ago. Even with better resources available that's quite a short time for a dislocated shoulder as much as I know. They definitely were rushing him back.
-
As much as I know a dislocated shoulder isn't that easily fixed. There is a high risk that the injury is recurring if you start doing sports too early. I had a team mate with a dislocated shoulder and the injury came again and again, every time he fell down or was putting to much weight on it. It took him nearly half a year to fully recover.

No, it's dull. No wonder, it was started by Souness' lovechild.
-
Expect us overrun them in the first couple of minutes... ... only to lose ground due to some help from a dodgy Russian referee with his assistants from the US and UK and a fourth match official from France
-
2-1 Newcastle, Souness getting another week.
-
They are just waiting for Souness to get the sack and to avoid paying Newcastle a compensation tbh.
-
She's any one of the last three signed up users tbh 65847 So basically Skol was right (for once) about her being a women...

If reports are true of 102,000 pounds per week, he's made something like 1/2 million quid whilst being on the sick. Could you imagine making that kind of money on the sick! MEDIC!!!!!! 65491 I am struggling to make this kind of money when I am fully fit tbh.

Are you watching the Australian version of Newcastle United? 65423 No, why do you ask? 65426 The Newcastle United I have seen in the last couple of years (already under SBR) are just kicking the ball up front over the heads of a midfield, especially when Bramble is in the team. I haven't really seen attempts for this being stopped, not one year ago and not in the most recent games.
