Agreed totally, Ronaldo is more important to Real Madrid than Messi is to Barcelona imo. He has a lot more to do. Would be interesting to see them swap sides.
-
Messi doesn't get kicked 30 times a game without seeing yellow cards dished out neither. It was much harder to be a brilliant player in those days, because you get little protection off the officials compared to today. Some games would finish 11 v 11 these days would be 5 a side games and I truly am not exaggerating. Maradona used to get kicked to fuck, in the era of Messi players are infinitely more protected and able to express themselves.
-
The thing with football fans these days 80% are stattos and don't actually rate players on how they appear. They see 12 goals in 26 games "ah good player, what a prospect". He's a moderately talented, massively strong centre forward. A bit like John Fashanu. People only look at stats though "ah 10 assists for Levante last season, he's the creative link we've been missing"..."19 goals for Ipswich in 2001 what a striker Marcus Stewart is"....that is how most people judge footballers.
-
I know Taraabt has a questionable attitude, but he was never going to be a Neil Warnock player. He's got more in his locker than 995 of players, it's just the simple things he struggles with and that will come with age. He's still only 23. With regards to Benteke I just don't like his style, his first touch is erratic, and I'd like to see him do it again, if he does fair play. I used to hate Brian McClair as a footballer when everyone loved him too, I just don't like lucky shit players with little talent that's just me.
-
Who's is that???
-
That's irrelevant, your ridiculous point was Taraabt is shite, the fact Real and PSG even got a mention, even if it is laughable at this stage, highlight he's a hugely gifted player who if managed correctly can do anything he likes in the game. He may be a fancy dan, but he does things very few people in football could dream of, if he's managed properly he can do anything. That's my view. I don't want Benteke here, his attitude with regards to his present employers is a disgrace, and I guarantee now, over three seasons he'll realise Villa is his level at the very best. His best attribute is his size. It's not 3 seasons ago he'd only scored 3 in 18 games for one of the best sides in a shit Belgian league in Standard Liege. I'm far from convinced by him and don't want him here.

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.
McFaul replied to mls1-CelticFC's topic in Newcastle Forum
See the media and every jock you ever come across rams it down everyones throat that Celtic and Rangers are these massive clubs. They're not and they never will be. You have the odd fan in Ireland and USA who support the club for no other reason that they're associated with Irish republicanism and catholicism. It's a load of bollocks though. If you take away Sky money, Celtic nor Rangers don't make more money than Newcastle commercially, and we don't have to tell lies about worldwide fanbases. No one cares about these two clubs, and irrespective what anyone says 99.9% of English people would never support a Scottish team because lets be honest for every kid like Scottishmag, there are 10 wanks up there, and he'd admit it himself. Unbelievable chips on their shoulders, "aww geordies are awrite cos er fuck aww like the rest of England". Heard that loads of times. There's loads of Scottish people I've met and liked, but the cuntish ones are as thick and bigoted as anyone you will ever come across and I don't care who disagrees with me. Anyway back to the point, Celtic and Rangers are no bigger than Newcastle United by ANY definition, never have been and never will be. They believe they are global institutions like Man Utd, they shouldn't even been mentioned in the same breath. I'd love to see both of them play in the English leagues because they'd get shown up for what they are. -
Benteke has about as much finesse as my cock. He's got a decent goalscoring record, not bad at all, lets see if he can do it at the top level consistently over three seasons. 4 Belgian goals in 10 games. So fuck. Crouch got something like 15 in his first 25. Means nothing. I just don't like his style of player, there's a lot of his game is more luck than judgement, he has presence but I don't think he's a top class player and I don't want him here. He's been at Aston Villa two minutes and he's on about playing for bigger clubs, we don't want that type of wank here. His first touch is poor for me, his finishing erratic, although I do concede 12 in 26 games is a decent record, lets see him do it over a number of seasons. Cisse scored more 13 in 14 games by the way. The other bloke Taraabt, if you don't think that boy has unbelievable potential you should never watch football ever again. He's scored goals 99% of world football just couldn't, he very much needs a loving manager though.
-
This Benteke, I'm sorry like he's scored a few goals but I'll tell you now there's too much fuss being made of him. A Emile Heskey like career beckons imo. I'd have Remy in a heart beat if QPR go down, I'd also have the rough diamond that is Taraabt.
-
He's a fucking absolute liability, I hope we sell him me. It wasn't even a Sunday league tackle, utterly dived in, if he didn't get him with him his first foot, he was going to with his second.
-
Same thing happened to me, I was fucking livid, they said go to the ticket office, was I fuck going to the ticket office. Luckily one of my mates uncles is a steward and he let me in when I explained what a cunt the initial bloke was. They gave me a new card at the ticket office a few days later.
-
I had one last week, I was fucking mortified. The older I get the more vain I become, and clearly you're the same The daft thing is I got that spot and I went all the way through my teens watching me pals look like clearasil before and after contenders, and I barely got one spot.
-
Scouse bastards. Had an hours kip, wake up to my 20 quid coupon fuckin decimated. Honestly I fucking hate that football club with ridiculous certainty and genuineness.

http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=765346 Being abused for having 100 in Moscow. 13 days notice. Up to £500 for flights, £200 extra for a VISA, £26 match tickets, expensive hotels in the worlds fourth most expensive city, you're probably talking £1000 for an away game arranged 13 days ago, and they abuse the fact 100 went. I don't think anyone else would've had more with those set of circumstances. TBF some of them are saying exactly what I'm saying half of them though man, they're so fucking thick. We live in the North East of England, many people couldn't even raise £1000 to go for ONE away game, and the majority who could, wouldn't justify paying a grand for one game. The only way I'd justify paying those amounts would be for a final to see us finally win a trophy. I'm not poor but I'm not wealthy, and I'm sure most people on here are the same.

The Road To Amsterdam ArenA (UEFA Europa League 2013) - THE END

The issue I have with a new manager is this. Pardew irrespective of what ANYONE says, statistically is our best manager since SBR. He's also the first manager to get us in the top 5 since SBR. He's done it spending next to fuck all, given transfer outgoings. Could Mourinho have got us 5th? Possibly. Newcastle coming 5th for me, with the squad we had was massive overachievement, I'm not on about in terms of the size of the club, we're a MUCH bigger club than the likes of Everton and VIlla on so many levels that are hard to argue with. Where he let himself down was coming out and saying "we're on a different level to these clubs". His major problem is like many Londoners, he's tongue loose gets cocky and talks shit. As for replacements, we're not going to poach any of the managers in the top 6, and whoever else there is around will be managing at an inferior club, or will be looking for work because they've failed in another position. Pardew has NOT failed. These posts will seem ridiculous if we win the Europa League, and it is definitely not the pipe dream it seems just writing it. We have a genuine chance if we can see this Russian side off. -

How do you gauge a better alternative though. Chelsea have been doing that for 10 years, at times they were without doubt in the best four teams in Europe, now though they've not stopped spending, finished 6th last season, and look completely shite, purely because of a trigger happy owner dictating that the next manager will be better. The Mourinho sacking was one thing, but the Ancelotti one just incredible too. -

Absolutely, and I won't say fair play to Ashley for putting it right, because I'm sure it was a business decision like everyone else. Pay £20m now and stay up, pay fuck all and lose £60m next season being in the Championship again. The sad thing is if we'd have had the likes of Sissoko in August, who knows where we'd be now. Tottenham haven't been THAT good and could even come second! I doubt if we'd have had these players in August that Pards approval rating would've dipped below 98% now. He does fuck me off though, so negative at times, some of his subs are baffling as well as his loyalty to absolute dross. He's played Williamson at times when there were alternatives but, he's done a good job at Newcastle, we're in a much better position now than December 2010, as a club and as a squad. -

Harry gave them the most consistent seasons they've had since the 1960's. The Harry dismissal was personal in my view, and their results are no better now, they're about the same, but are a far duller team to watch. Who would you suggest could replace Pardew and do a better job? -

I'm not arsed if we play them, we've played two games against Tottenham, absolutely nothing in both games, we can beat them, they can beat us. Same with Chelsea, with those out of the way, who is there to fear? I saw Benfica last night, they're fucking shit, Lazio aren't going to give you sleepless nights neither, while Malaga reserves looked better than Zenit who seem to have internal struggles. -

Spurs OR Chelsea. I sometimes think they fiddle it so clubs from the same country face each other in the QF. I think Liverpool met Chelsea twice in the CL QF. Chelsea definitely played Arsenal in the QF one year, Wayne Bridge putting them through, also Bayern and Dortmund. I'd guess that we'll play Tottenham or Chelsea IF we get through right now. -

THE best organised team I've seen since Mourinho went in at Chelsea, we only really penetrated them once in 90 minutes. Irrespective of what they did going forward, they're an extremely rigid powerful side, and if they beat us, I'll be backing them to win it. They have multi million pound stars all over the team. That Willian is a £35m signing and he's not even their best player. If we get past these we have FUCK ALL to fear. -

I've got no idea why CT, 2J or any cunt else (including one of me best pals) would want Pardew sacked like. We've been shit this season, there have been a lot of contributing factors, injuries and lack of support from the board of directors being the main ones. Pardew isn't blameless, some of his decisions has been woeful. His negative tactics fuck me right off a lot of the time, but lets take stock here. Less than three years ago we were losing 3-0 at Derby in the Championship. Less than two years after that we were going in to May in 4th place in the Barclays Premier League. Is that poor management or just luck? Pards deserves at least another season of mediocrity based on that alone. If Everton had've shown such lack of loyalty to Moyes after they came 17th in his thirs season, I wonder where they'd be today, the same goes for Manchester United who came 13th in Ferguson's third full season. For a support who pride themselves as the loyalist in the world, I have to say we have more knee jerkers and people with small memories than any cunt else! We've had 13 managers since Ferguson became Man Utd boss, we've had 10 since Wenger became Arsenal manager. They've won 35 trophies between them in that time. Newcastle have enough for potential to AT LEAST match Tottenham's recent achievements, and going back to square one is just ridiculous based on one shite season. Rant over. -

In the history of football I doubt any player in any one single game gave the ball away more than Obertan. Absolutely pathetic. Astonishingly good result for the toon, I thought we'd draw and we did. These are a Champions League team and possible Russian Champions. I rate our chances at slightly better than 50/50 now.
