Radiohead headlined last year and they were awesome but Kula Shaker were on a different stage earlier on the bill, about 2.30 in the afternoon or something so they wouldn't have clashed (unless your mate went to the V in Chelmsford and for some reason KS got pushed up to a headlining slot )

I'm in agreement there Jill, I cannot stand the Arena, going to see Arcade Fire there in a couple of weeks as well. Arcade Fire at the Arena- - the Arena in general - It's just so difficult to get any sort of an atmosphere at the Arena. Especially last night, rock band, the entire floor seated and the staff are all such pricks if you move more than 2 inches away from standing in front of your seat. Totally ruins it. Thankfully my next few gigs are all at the Academy.

I always flush, on the basis that my bedroom is next to the bathroom and I've never woken up when someone has flushed the toilet (and no that's not because they don't flush during the night, I did check once )

Arrgh I'm having horrible flashbacks to when I used to get my brace tightened. My appointments always seemed to fall on the day I had football training and you could guarantee I'd get a ball pelted off my face at some point. Fucking agony. I couldn't wait to get the bastard taken off, only to discover the only thing more painful than getting it tightened was when they removed the metal ring thing which went around the back teeth to hold it all in place.. OW!

I was just reading this in the Mail on Sunday (yeah, I know). Horrible tragedy - RIP.

I reckon I'm gonna have to set aside a night a week to just sit down and do the work, and try and stick to that. It'll never happen though, especially as the first one I'll be doing is going to be mega boring.

I'm gonna have to do distance learning (not Open University though) for the next two years and I can see it going tits up in my face. I'm not worried about not understanding the stuff, it's just actually sitting down and motivating myself to study after a day at work.

As with any degree course I would imagine what you put in is what you get out. Haven't really known many people who've used the OU though my A-Level Psychology teacher had done her degree that way later in life and seemed to place it in pretty high regard..
