1. On Have I got News For You last night, John O'Farrell said that this raid was part of 'Operation Shoot Anyone Who's Slightly Dusky'. Couldn't help but think of Leazes.

Remakes

The idea of a Wicker Man remake makes me want to retch tbh.
3. I'll have a proper read of that later. I've seen mentioned in the Mag and TF a few times about Oswald Mosley bringing his Blackshirts to the Bigg Market in the 1930s to try and incite a race riot, only for a huge bunch of Geordies to turn up and beat the shit out of them. Never been able to find a net reference though, so don't know how true it is.
4. It's very different to the book in numerous places actually. 144847 Not different enough for my liking. My highlight (apart from the obvious 'we need to find a library - and fast') was the bits where he'd stare at a phrase and the letters would light up. Is he one of the X-Men or something? "Quick Bobby, use your crypto-vision to solve it". 144863 That was mint, as was the idea that he could use a phone web browser to find where they needed to be. If it's anything like mine, they'd still be trying now, those things are beyond shite.

6. Agree, its a bit of fun and something different which was entertaining. I'd suggest he doesn't keep doing it after the world cup as people will quickly tire of it and it will become annoying, but till then why not! 144639 I reckon if he scores in the World Cup, he should give it the Leela version.
7. I might crack a smile. But only if it was £10m. None of these single digits. Seriously though, you wouldn't see me for dust.
8. As usual Glenn knows something simple that was beyond the reckoning of Fuckwitt Souness a man who would play a midfield of Parker and Faye at home against crap opposition and make Faye the attackign midfielder! Parker can do the job of defensive midfielder and do it well, but particularly at home he will be better used as a box to box player who still looks after defensive duties as and when needed. 141146 I'm not convinced about his goal scoring tbh. He didn't score much for Charlton either, did he? We need more goals from the midfield next year with our paucity of strikers - one or two wonder goals a season isn't going to cut it. 141151 So i get ostracised for saying bellamy didnt score enough and thats the most important thing for a striker, yet youre saying parker isnt good enough cos he doesnt score enough . . . and hes more of a holding midfield player 141318 What are you on about being ostracized for thinking that? If you have had the piss taken out of you or been ignored I think it might be for other reasons..... As it happens I was also of the opinion that Bellamy didn't score enough for us, I wasn't his number one fan, although that part of his game has improved immensely with good management. Parker is a completely different matter though, he hardly ever scores at all. I don't buy this "holding" midfielders don't score, not to the extent they are being outscored by our centrebacks. And then we are told he's "box to box"..... Waiting for Shearergol to say but Makalele..... :( 141331 Vieira and Keane tended to be on 2-3 a season, with the odd exception. Not that he's anywhere near them like.
9. EVen with Milner, I'd be looking for a new right winger. Hopefully Milner will go, and we'll sign a decent one. 140589 You don't even think Milner deserves a chance given that he couldn't really have done much better at Villa?
10. I'd have SWP on loan in a flash. But not buy him, no way. As long as we don't sell Milner, right wing is one of our least pressing concerns.
11. I've enjoyed watching you back-pedal since then.
12. I'm sitting in the Grimsby end, so I better support them. Don't really care tbh, I'm just going for the craic and the drink.
13. LeazesMag thinks I'm clueless? I'll take that as a compliment.
14. I couldn't really give a fuck what you think of me tbh LM, you've proved yourself to be a rose-tinted joke on here and on N-O on countless occasions. It's obvious from this thread that the majority agree with me, so I'm happy to be a clueless cunt in good company, thank you very much.
15. Souness hasn't got the qualification either, for the record. No-one's saying it's akin to killing someone, LM, so I'd stop with the hyperbole if you wish to make your argument have any credence. What it does is make Newcastle United look like a laughing stock and I don't know how you can defend that, though somehow you've managed it on the basis that "it doesn't matter" just like 'seven bells', just like 'dogs', 'Mary Poppins' and 'mugs', just like 'top 10 jobs in world football', just like practically everything he says. As I said on N-O, when Spurs had an issue with an official ruling a fortnight ago (yes their argument was bollocks but that's irrelevant) they wrote a letter explaining their concerns. They didn't send Levy to the newspapers threatening to beat up the chairman of the Premier League. Everyone would have laughed at them if they did, just like they will laugh at us.
16. He's also completely lacking in technical ability imo. In fact, what has he got? 138561 Good workrate, good finishing and good movement. Not enough for NUFC on it's own but he'll do well at a lower level in my view. 138565 I don't even think he's got good movement. Even during these games when we're been playing well and really dominating, he never looks like he's going to get on the end of a chance. Bet you could count on one hand the number of shots he's had this season.
17. The fact that we're probably going to be in the UEFA Cup makes it even more stupid. We all know how many matches we eventually have to trawl through and the chances of Nobby staying fit and in top shape through all those is pretty slim. We should be looking to have cover and competition for each position anyway, that's without the UEFA schedule to take into account.
18. If we sell him then end up playing fucking Ameobi or Bowyer on the right next season if Solano's out, I'll be royally pissed off.
19. As my mam once said, in all seriousness: "she fell on her feet when she lost her leg."
20. Only other British team I'll support in Europe, short of Hartlepool nabbing a spot like.
21. Bellamy's racism charge was dropped. Got fined for swearing at a bouncer. String the bastard up tbh.
22. My Zen Touch is fucked too. To be fair I did drop it on concrete. Still plays like, but the menu's knackered. Fail to see how anyone can put up with an iPod. The whole iTunes thing just puts me right off, overcomplicated bollocks, not to mention that when I installed it on my computer for someone it deleted my CD drive.
23. More to do with their style of play tbh, particularly the fact that only one can play at once. But of course strikers are just there to score goals and nothing else.
