  2. I don't know much about Gomis but from I can gather he is a big lad. As Pardew is meant to be pushing 2 up front more this season (rather than Cisse on his own) I think it's as much about him being a foil and working with Cisse as his own goal contribution. Maybe.

  5. I understand them wanting to bargain for the best deal, but there comes a point when players need a pre-season. Its fucking stupid man. My current thinking is that they will spend the minimum possible and then wait until winter to see out position. so long as we are "safe" then we'll not invest but if like last season we're looking "dodgy" he will invest to protect our status. In otherwords, dont get relegated, anything else is fine.

  8. Aye there's no right or wrong, depends on what someone wants. Personally I use the gym for strength training ensuring I'm hitting everything and I do cardio there if the weather is shite or dark mornings. Otherwise I run/cycle/hill & fell walk outside. I want decent cardio fitness on top of decent aesthetics & strength etc. As for cost, we may I think £64 a month for me and wor lass plus the bairn swims there once a week. As for how much cardio, I do 50mins once a week with a mix of treadmill, bike, stairclimb, swim etc and then HIIT for 10mins after Ive been lifting if I have time. Odd cycle at weekends.

  11. I used the 16hr / 8hr fasting (8pm to 12noon). Might not sound like much but before I lost all my weight I wouldn't think twice about eating at 11pm, breakfast at 6am and snack at 10am so cutting all of that out made a big difference. That combined with much cleaner eating and harder training was how I done so well. Ill prob focus on fat loss again in 6months but prob not with IF as I don't need to be as aggressive this time. Then again I don't eat after 8pm any more anyway.

  15. You have the hose type of portable as you say, but the ones that condense only are likely dehumidifiers. The other type of portable are split types where you hang a box out of the window as well and connect the two bits together with piping. Another cheap option you might look at is evaporative coolers. The blow air across a body of water which adds cool moisture to the air. The best but most expensive option is a split type full installed system but that will set you back in the region of £1500 ~ £2000 for a decent job.

  17. Yeah was reading about it. Suspect on river that was shallow due to weather but still had strong under current.
  18. £600 is well expensive if that's a portable. I do them for around £450 inc Vat. You could hire one as well to see what difference it makes before buying one.
  19. I like them. Goes back to being a kid. My dad used to tell me to talk to them and they would eventually go away. I used to fall asleep before anything else and now I don't mind them at all. I love the smell / clear air that follows them (hayfever thing).
  20. thats not a bad loss, but you need to sustain it else its pointless. Also you wont drop below 13st by next week.
