Hang on Stevie, 40K tweets in 3 years? Fuck me, I'm practically a mute by that standard

Also for me, quite easy to do the maths, 5 years, 29K tweets = 16 tweets a day. Not that bad really.

If @DarrelBirkett's 29,684 tweets were a football crowd, they'd fill the New Tivoli, home of Alemannia Aachen.

I can see him knocking back an initial offer from them like. Or sitting on it and see what comes in. As much as I'd like him here, I think we will look for a cheaper deal in Europe.

Personally think Haidara looks pretty solid. I reckon he is a better defender but Santon offers more going forward. Id maybe rotate them depending who we are playing. Debuchy on the other side Im happy with. We've seen glimpses of how good he can be and I'd like to see how he is next season. I just dont see the full backs as a priority. Centre halves are a worry. If colo goes I think we have two ok options but both seem to play much better along side someone with assured confidence. I'd go all out for another woodgate/colo player, has to be a priority. Our midfield has been shit this season despite being littered with talent. For that I think AP has to take some blame and look at how he is using them. But with Cabaye, Tiote, Sissoko for the middle and HBA, Marv, Jonas for the wings (Id move on Obertan) we have some good options you would think. Id be getting rid of Gosling as well and from really not liking him, I think Perch gives us great back up in a number of positions (ala Aaron Hughes). If I was shifting on Obertan and Gosling I'd look to bring in a winger who could put a good ball in (none of ours can). That would be new + HBA on the wing with Marv / Jonas on the bench. Id also likely start with Cabaye and Sissoko in the middle and Tiote/Anita/Bigi as back up. Up front I'd like to see a target man. If we insist on these long balls we need someone who can picked them up and Id be more than happy with AC but still think it would be a tough deal to pull off. I like Gouffran and would have him as an option there. So basically In : Target man, commanding centre half + maybe a winger who can cross Out : Obertan, Gosling, Colo (sadly if you goes), Amalfitano, Plenty of kids as well who could be used now and again

Surprised the offsides are comparable, feels higher.

My biggest worry is again keeping what we have. I sometimes think the club play on that a little but not qualifying for Europe this season could have players like HBA and Cabaye looking elsewhere? I could certainly see enquiries coming in. If we could keep everyone and add two strikers and a centre half if Colo goes then that would do me. Think it's something we have to get used to, waiting for the window to close so we can put the rumours of someone leaving to bed.

In fairness to AP I had a different opinion about that comment (getting beat 4-0) when I saw the video. Its not as the media suggested. It was clearly tongue in cheek and afterwards he said they would give Arsenal a hard game because now they dont have the pressure they have had of late.- 10610 replies

Assuming we stay up, I can see us keeping hold of AP like. Just to prove that we wont knee jerk despite a poor season. I reckon they'll let him spend again, ship a few out and see how we do. We've read about moving on some fringe players, just hope we keep the core squad and bring in a decent forward (minimum).- 10610 replies

What would you put it down to if we were relegated? Lack of summer investment coupled with a bad run of injuries? - I'm struggling to accept that since the latter half of the season we spent with a good crop of new players (though see below) Lack of replacing Ba? We needed a new forward then we sold Ba. Gouffran is canny but we needed him and Ba. We never replaced Ba and playing Cisse on his own with an out of sorts HBA and poor form Jonas isn't cutting it. Pards tactics? He seem to be following a similar pattern like at prior clubs. Playing Gosling over Anita? Players in strange positions as so on. A bigger concern for me over these is the seeming lack of motivation of the players. The lack of fight. I still believe we have a strong first team and average squad. When people are saying we are too strong to go down yet we are in the position we are in you have to ask why and while I've been reluctant to judge too swiftly, all things considered points towards poor management imo. First time we were relegated I blamed Ashley's handling of the club, without question. This time I don't.

Don't really let anyone annoy me that much. LM I found frustrating as you could have a good debate with him but was too repetitive and didn't read any points put across. Was like talking to someone with fingers in their ears. So really only the 'net hard men type who must be so insecure with who they really are they need this while persona. Also WUMs that can't even at least be mildly amusing. Can't be arsed with kids and people being stroppy. Kevin was an arse at first though when he chilled out and dropped the act, like most could be ok. I could prob name loads that is like to still see posting though.

Should we get relegated so we can build a new English team?

No. Just No.
