Sammy looked spot on in pre-season so far. A few cameos last season as well. Reckon he'll be on the bench a fair bit this season and even starting some games. Good to see.

Yeah I reckon you're right. It has some of the style his teams did. Until Souness destroyed it like and then Fat Sam turned us in to a team of heavyweight thugs. You could see this team under SBR though couldnt you.

I think Chelsea will be much stronger this time around. Not sure about Spurs, if they sell Modric that will give a nice little pot to splash out with. Not really that worried about Liverpool either. Arsenal I think could be stronger and Man Utd. I did laugh at a comment by Mancini recently as well saying he didnt need to spend a lot on his team and might only bring in 3-5 players. Fucking hell, thats probably £50M on that 3-5 players just to be in the squad

Just wondering who we will see more of next season. I think more now than ever in the Premiership years we seem to be pulling talent through the ranks. While I have said a few times that I thought we needed several new players to both strengthen the team and replace those on their way out, it seems that while we will bring new faces in, strength will also come from within with younger players playing a more prominent role. This isnt a bad thing. Some may say that not signing a player (center half for example) shows a lack of foresight and a lack of ambition but at he same time the younger players need to be allowed to flourish and learn. I certainly expect to see more of Sammy Ameobi who has looked pretty good in pre-season. But then also we know little yet of the likes of Curtis Good who looks like joining us. Abeid has had some canny moments pre season and Tavernier as well. Bigi has been getting all the plaudits though and it seems certain he will get a run out at times and Ive not even thought of Amilfitano. No doubt there are others than spring to mind. Hopefully they will be mixed in a couple at a time though and we dont try to win the League Cup or Europa with these players only. you win nowt with kids

He was Stevie, that was the period we have just went through. If you read back since he was last put in the Creche he came out and was fine. then slowly he has ramped up to where he was before. I have tried to engage him on a fair few occasions but that was very frustrating when he only replies to part of your question and avoids others. The thing is with LM, look on old forums where he created threads. When he is actively engaged in discussing positives about NUFC he could be a cracking poster. I actually enjoyed talking NUFC with him from time to time but you had to do it through gritted teeth at times. If he hadnt become such a bitter bloke who paid more attention to those he seems to have long standing grudges with and spent more time creating topics and engaging in good debate (not the same old fucking rotation of opinion even if it is irrelevant to the topic with little veiled swipes) he'd still be here and would be a good poster. It wasnt just the Renton thing, it was the majority of that thread. It was mods having to move his posts. In the end, I think every Mod/Admin agreed with action taken. As I said, we were damned if we did and damned if we didnt. The board is to cater for the majority where possible.

I'm unsure about Rangers factually. If it was a clean break as I originally suspected, newco wouldn't carry oldco debts. But if the administrators have sold newco the assets then I have to assume oldco had gone. Club in view of legal system and club in view of their fans are different entities.
