Heard some of them on Live Live this morning, they had a reporter at the airport. Group of women at the airport saying they got final tickets thanks to a "contact" and one of them saying she'd only been supporting Liverpool for a year. Also not a Scouse accent between them.

Won the World Club Cup in December. Went out at the Group stage of the CL which I can't ever remember doing before, so was less than impressed. Anyway with mostly kids I won the league: UEFA Cup And the FA Cup

Just listening to the end of the Arsenal-Chelsea match and they cut to a reporter on the phone saying that Roeder is on the verge of being given the boot after a "hastily arranged" board meeting.

Just got round to seeing Fridays now. Great episode with a bit of a shit ending.

Beeb Newcastle are saying that there's a big group of fans hanging around chanting "Taxi for Roeder" amonst other things. There was a reporter o nthe phone and you could hear a bit of a racket in the background.

I never saw how people could get addicted to it. I just log in and read the bulletins, there's not that much to do on it apart from searching for people.

Think it would have been 96 too. 98 was when I saw people at school getting them. I remember the first PAYG phones needing to to top them up with atleast tenner a month for line rental then spend more just to be able to make calls and texts. My first phone was the Trium Geo.

I've noticed there's normally plenty of women about in the bars and pubs during the summer tournaments that wouldn't be there for qualifiers or club matches. I don't think they particularly like like football but they still go to watch.
