  1. What I don't like about Kinnear is the shite he's been coming out with since he left about everyone hated him because he was a cockney. Another issue with him (and there are fucking loads) are that I can imagine if there is a private matter between Pardew and a player(s) he'll probably blurt it out to the press without any shame. Also, leaving the fact he's a prick out of it for a moment, is his health up to this?
  2. Young unknowns for no or little fee and unsettling players so we get them on the cheap. That appears to be our transfer policy. On the plus side, at least it won't knack us financially when we inevitably get relegated.
  3. Has he claimed he was in charge when we won the Fairs Cup in 69 yet?
  4. Another weird and twisted PR exercise similar to the Rooney bid last month, all in the name of promoting the Ashley brand of S***** D*****. JFK will disappear by Friday. Farcical, but I've come to the conclusion that Ashley believes that all publicity is good publicity for his brand.
  5. Can you walk around it? They run a marathon round it man. Joking aside, there is a pathway that runs all the way round it. You can walk or cycle round. I know it's a reservoir, but it's the closest thing you're going to get to a decent 'lake' in the North East. I did show a Canadian friend it once and he called it a 'pond.' Oh, and 9 out of 10.
  6. She seems alright actually. She tends to just post pictures of herself looking moody and smoking tabs. Her moment of glory on there came when one of the Kardashians tweeted something about 'why is life so hard sometimes?' and she fucking laid into her. It was top bombing!
  7. I would rather keep Cabaye like, he does have something about him that I quite like. One of the only door openers we have and his range of passing the season before last was superb. The worry for me is that last season he really didn't look arsed. Whether that was depression, fitness or whatever he was still poor by his standards. I've always said that if a player really doesn't want to be here then we should just sell them to be honest.
  8. I know exactly what Moog is saying. Liverpool have made it clear they really don't want him. If Carroll makes it just as clear that he's happy to sit unless NUFC come in then they could, eventually, just say 'sod it' and cut their losses. Battle of wills and maybe a bit of a waiting game. I'm sure there will be some unofficial and informal contact between Carroll and the club. If he wants to come back here of course, just speculation.
  9. Obviously a reservoir and not a lake but I still love going to Keilder. Mainly to fish, but I just find the place really peaceful and relaxed..if you find the right spot (not telling).
  10. I follow Frances Bean Cobain on twitter and she's now 20. April next year will also be 20 years since Kurt Cobain killed himself. Fuck a duck to both of those.
  11. Just back to Lauren Laverne, she's alright in my book as I'm sure I read an interview with her where she said she hated football. So definitely no SAFC sympathiser. Plus, I loved Kenicke. 'Doyoureckon?'
  12. Is it just me or does it seem like Andy Carroll is in no great hurry to sign for West Ham. We really need to steam in there..
  13. One of the positives of Ashley and Llambias is that there is no way they will let Colo go on the cheap. San Lorenzo will have to stump up the cash or fuck off.
  14. Bellamy was a twat, but he was our twat. I was certainly no Souness fan but he was in the wrong when he faked the injury and wouldn't play. Whatever issues he had with Souness he should have put his head down and grafted for us, if it wasn't working then the manager would have eventually got the boot..which he did. I think he just has one of those personalities where he could start a fight in an empty room. A not very professional professional. Still, I would have liked him to stay here. I think his transfer history does say a lot about his personality. I think a lot of managers just don't really like him being around cos of his gob.
  15. I went to see OMD a couple of weeks back at The Sage. I have to say, they were brilliant and it was a cracking night. Really enjoyed it.
  16. We went through a phase of setting fire to stuff when I was a kid. Once we set a little fire and it got out of control and a whole row of hedge went up. We did what any sensible young lad would do and ran as quickly as possible away from the scene. We also used to have a local shop (gone now) owned by a very elderly gentleman. All of the Jazz mags were on one of those revolving stands by the door so someone would go in and ask for something that aforementioned old man had to turn his back for and...hey presto...we had Razzle and Big Jugs monthly to keep us entertained for a while.
  17. Family have now come out and politely told the EDL to fuck off. Good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22725999
  18. What really worries me about the aftermath of this is the potential hate and jumping on bandwagon of both scales of extremist views here. The far right (who I despise by the way, I'll nail my colours to this mast early doors) are now using this incident to recruit and put forward their pretty bigoted and nonsensical views. You know, that whole boring 'send the buggers back' shite they peddle. I like to play bullshit bingo with it, I usually get house by the 'our borders are an open door' shit. We're also going to get the knackers who are now either going to turn to Islamic extremism as a reaction to this or now act on it. Again, bell ends. What I would have liked to have seen, and I know it's difficult as they are grieving, but I think the family need to come out and release a statement asking the EDL to politely fuck off and keep the politics out of the incident. There was a march organised by the British Legion for the lad last week and it was taken over by wankers from the EDL with their flags and predictably boring renditions of God Save the Queen ad nasuem. Really glad Help for Heros told them to do one anyway, it's a start. By the way, I am proud of where I come from, and I have no problem with the EDL having a political voice if they want one despite me agreeing with none of it. Both sides preach hatred though, so what I'm trying to say is, they can both fuck off.
  19. Been to two weddings at Close House (was Best Man at one) and they were both cracking days. Someone told me they weren't doing weddings anymore as they were going to be solely concentrating on the golf now, but that was obviously bollocks!
  20. Well as someone who goes (thanks) he's weak as piss in the tackle and on Sunday when I watched him (although it is difficult being that 30 foot away, and the sun was bright, and the wind was a tad blustery so forgive me) he gets caught ball watching a lot. Hey, if people want him to continue as a first team player I have no problem with that, as long as people also accept we're not really going to compete for anything.
  21. I don't leave early, but people can do what they want. The only issue I have is when people leave early then either stop mid row or on the stairs because we might be on the attack. You've made up your mind to go, so go, don't stop and block the game for everyone else. To be honest, I have more of a problem with people who turn up late, fuck off 5-10 mins before half time to get a pint/pie, come back 2nd half late, then fuck off early. Just why?
  22. As I said when he was appointed, he might get away with physically and verbally abusing players in the 3rd tier of football, but PL footballers won't stand for it and just tell him to fuck off or plot his downfall to get rid. This will end in tears as predicted, hopefully big style and with long term damage.
  23. He's a grafter, and a good squad player, but he's had a woeful season and he should not be in the 1st team if we want to seriously compete. This is not a personal criticism of the lad, he works hard but he's piss poor at defending and gives us nothing coming forward anymore. Unfortunately Pardew's refusal to take him off on numerous occasions when he's been awful probably mean he'll be a certain starter all next season as well.
