I do kind of agree with that, and I'm certainly not going to have a whinge with him staying captain, but I do think the club have to make a stand. Personal problems or not, he has tried to fuck the club over.

Nah, Drogba was finished in his last two seasons at Chelsea, a shadow of his former self. I couldn't believe how bad he was when we saw him for the last time up here. Continuing as captain could have a negative effect. Not being allowed to leave might have a negative effect. I think my lack of sympathy comes from the fact the wife being ill story is bullshit.

I don't really understand what this has to do with Michael Owen to be honest. Our current captain desperately wants to be away and tried to force a move. He's only staying because we're not going to let that happen. Looking at those facts, someone else should be captain. Someone with a bit more focus on the job in hand. He has been a great player for us and will 100% support him, but he's in the wrong here like.
