I do kind of agree with that, and I'm certainly not going to have a whinge with him staying captain, but I do think the club have to make a stand. Personal problems or not, he has tried to fuck the club over.
-
Also, you can't help thinking that the business we've done in the past week is the business we should of done in the Summer. Which again, frustrates the fuck out of me.
-
Still got an air of caution about this one. Villa fans I follow on twitter are really down about it telling me we'll have no problem tonight and will simply brush them aside. They must really be shit at the moment. Remember though, we haven't won away from home all season. I'm hoping that the signings give us a kick up the arse and a bit of confidence more than anything. We've still got a core set of players who achieved great things last season which is why we've been so frustrated about our position and results. Bringing the 4 lads in might be a nice shot in the arm for the squad.

Good stuff, and I'm sure he will put in 100% for us the rest of the season now he really has no other option. Having said that, trying to manufacture a move behind the clubs back and sending that stupid fucking letter still leave a bitter taste in the mouth. A def starter for me, but not as captain, give it to Cabaye.

Teabag it in.

Shepherd's biggest problem was his gob.

One regret is that I never saw Glenn Hoddle in is prime. For all the boring/weird manager and pundit stuff you forget he was one of the most gifted players of his generation. I saw him play for Swindon ffs.
-
Tell you what I've noticed about Murray, he's put some muscle on those calfs. Makes him look a bit weird.
-
Someone on the radio yesterday having a rant about immigrants etc calling from Malaga. Like it's some sort of annexed British state ffs.
-
Villa fans I know on Twitter conceding the 3 points to us. Can go in off someones arse for all I care tomorrow, as long as we score one more than them fuckers!
-
Nah, not having that like. Got up well for the corner and scored a penalty in a shootout that he did sweet fuck all in the other 120 minutes. Granted, being an experienced quality footballer who could handle the pressure was exactly what Chelsea needed, but he was def garbage compared to what he used to be.
-
If, and this is still a big if, the letter is authentic then he's def pissed on his chips whatever the circumstances.
-
Bracewell was the right player at the right time, a knack KK had. He def wasn't the player he used to be, but as Stevie said it was the 2nd division so it was about his level at that point. Def helped that he scored that raker early on due to the mackem connection. I remember the day we signed him and my old man expleting a loud 'What the fuck?'
-
Spot on Ant. I don't think fans are being objective with this because it's Colo. Like the lass you love but she shags around.
-
Nah, Drogba was finished in his last two seasons at Chelsea, a shadow of his former self. I couldn't believe how bad he was when we saw him for the last time up here. He did the right thing taking the money and fucking off to China. Been a bit of a myth built up around him this season by the press with their 'Chelsea miss Drogba' lazy journalism. They only miss him because Torres is so woeful.
-
I agree, but if he's allowed to take the piss out of the club then what sort of example does that set to the rest of the squad?
-
If true, then our captain is writing love letters to other clubs basically saying he's a hostage here. Captaincy needs to be stripped like, think too many people letting their heart rule their head with Colo like. Starting to take the piss out of us a bit now like.

Carl Cort @TheCarlCort anyone remember when I arrogantly condemned 5under1and to another defeat when playing for the dons. Trademark Corty header? Cort 1 - #safc 0 Gan on Carl son!
-
He almost become a cliqued version of himself.
-
Absolutely, he was immense last year. I hope he continues to be immense with whatever has been agreed between him and the club. I just think, with what has gone on, that it's inappropriate for him to continue as captain.
-
Last bit of snow tonight then it's going to be tropical next week!

Carl Cort @TheCarlCort Imagine paying to go and watch Sunderland. I think I would rather pay a magician to tie my cock in a knot #nufc Carl Cort @TheCarlCort Yes I've had a lot of injuries.. But at least Im not from Sunderland. Which is an injury in itself #nufc

Continuing as captain could have a negative effect. Not being allowed to leave might have a negative effect. I think my lack of sympathy comes from the fact the wife being ill story is bullshit.

I don't really understand what this has to do with Michael Owen to be honest. Our current captain desperately wants to be away and tried to force a move. He's only staying because we're not going to let that happen. Looking at those facts, someone else should be captain. Someone with a bit more focus on the job in hand. He has been a great player for us and will 100% support him, but he's in the wrong here like.
