  1. Lots of apparently in the know people are telling me this lad is class, so I'm expecting really big things from him. Think it was right to get him in now rather than wait. If he's as good as we're being told then we really need him now and the money we pay for him will still be a bargain.
  2. Of course I'm happy he's staying and will support him despite him fucking us about (hey, I like him and think he's quality but whichever way you look at it he has). However, he can't continue as captain after this. We're currently in the shit and if you're leader and captain is not 100% committed (which he isn't) then he has to make way for someone who is.
  3. I think it's only right that we also report San Lorenzo to FIFA or whoever for attempting to illegally poach one of players.
  4. Regardless of the rights, wrongs, and facts; The last person who should be a public spokesman for the players is Nile Ranger.
  5. If he's strong, good in the air and used to the long ball then he'll be fine. If not, we're fucked.
  6. He has to be better than Shola* *please be better than Shola.
  7. White noise always gets me to sleep. If I was ever struggling to sleep when I was younger I would listen to radio interference and would be out for the count. I downloaded an app called Simply Noise which allows you to listen to White, Pink, and Brown noise. I know this sounds a bit random, but it's a great way to get babies off to sleep as well. Don't know why, but always found it comforting and a great way to send me to sleep.
  8. I didn't think Sissoko was coming till next season though? Just signing a pre-contract isn't he? Might be too late.
  9. Which is fine. He's also under a long contract and we hold his registration. We get the right amount of cash, no problem.
  10. Whilst signing young, promising players on the cheap is good, we could also do with some older proven heads with a bit of leadership and stomach for a fight.
  11. I truly think the wife is unwell story is bullshit to be honest. Wants to go back to his home country and the club his father is a massive part of. Which is fair enough. Except don't sign a 4 year contract extension 6 months earlier. We do hold all the cards and we need to hold firm here or we set a precedent that will come back to bite us big style.
  12. Take from it what you will, but Tim Vickery who I always find to be on the ball says it's fuck all to do with any illness to his wife etc but all to do with his dad getting voted in as part of the new board at San Lorenzo then massively unsettling Colo once in.
  13. The club have to drive a hard bargain here like. We hold all the cards, and if they let him go quickly and on the cheap then it gives the impression that they've rolled over and had their belly tickled.
  14. You just know someone has an entire loft space with a subbuteo pitch set up like the Maracana who would really like that. Still love subbuteo like, I'm friends with a Belgian guy on Facebook who runs all the European tournaments. Still massive and taken deadly serious.
  15. I started using the original toontastic what must be more than a decade ago, which is scary. I used to post a lot as I worked for the local authority and farting about was much easier to do. I did try NO and do still have an account on there, but I found I don't really identify with a lot of the posters on there. Comes across as a young uns place. That's no criticism of it by the way, horses for courses, I just find it the forum equivalent of me walking into a nightclub.
  16. Jim Smith's autobiography has some cracking stuff about Mira in it. Used to come into his office regularly and ask that money be sent home immediately to the pig farm back in Brazil his family ran. Also used to sub himself when he was tired.
  17. I was only saying last year that I couldn't believe it was still open after the success and ease of Lovefilm and Netflix and the like. Back in the day (the 90's kids) we were there every weekend getting DVDs out but I really can't remember the last time I was in there.
  18. QPR the new Pompey within the next 5 years. Fact.
  19. These jokes are shit, in the mane.
  20. The Oprah thing is just going to be one massive PR stunt to get people back on side, and she'll be sympathetic as fuck to him and give him a massively easy ride. You know exactly how it's gone down. I imagine he'll break down in tears and admit to it, but quickly turn it into how he is the victim, forced to inject by nasty unnamed team management. Oprah will lap it up, and I'm afraid after he quickly turns it into 'I needed to protect the charity' then I expect a lot of the general public will as well. I imagine the money he'll have to pay back will soon be supplemented by the cash he'll make from releasing a tell all book. Twat.
  21. Still love South Park like, mainly because they aren't afraid to fuck off everyone and everything.
  22. I think the main crux of the angst is that a player would rather go to a side bottom of the league and seemingly doomed than us. Money and being in London are two big factors we can't compete with, but it would be nice to think we could sell the club to a player. We've either failed to sell our club as having more ambition than QPR, or Remy is a greedy twat. Either is pretty depressing.
  23. Needs to go back to basics. I agree with Alex in that the injuries have meant he feels the need to do more than he has to. He's not a cultured footballer, he's there to protect the back four. He was superb for us when he was just doing that. The reason Perch has been doing better there is that he knows what to do in that role and is just doing it. He really is a right stupid bastard with his tackling though. I know he sometimes gets booked on reputation where other players would be let off, but he really doesn't help himself like.
