  1. All I'm saying is from a personal point of view I'd rather have an experienced defender marking a decent EPL centre forward than an untried 18 year old. Selfish, but true. Moore isn't a donkey, he's just not as good as Zico Hughes.
  2. The kids in the academy might not be good enough. As much as I'm not sure about him, he is the back up CB and I'd rather he was marking Henry than a 16 year old kid. Should of set our standards higher but this is NUFC.
  3. Aye, some people are FUBAR, but people react to situations and punishment differently. Some people might be less likely to re-offend if given the softly softly approach, although I won't go any further in case I get accused of fixing PC's or whatever.
  4. I split up with a girl as a young un who then wanted to cut my balls off. I went on a drinking spree, although not in my usual public houses for obvious reasons.
  5. Excellent, then when Shearer and Owen are knackered we'll play...erm...we'll play....oh dear.
  6. You've played 1 more test series than us and 5 more ODI games.
  7. I say this everytime someone comes on with this tale of teenage woe; go out and get bladdered my friend. Plenty fish in the sea, she's not worth it, abuse your liver. Ithangu and good luck.

    Students

I liked being a student, the lifestyle was nice and relaxed and I seemed to have more money then that I have now, less bills and being paid cash in hand for my job. However, the amount of knackers trying too hard seems to be getting bigger every year. Like Goths, why do they have to shout in strange voices at each other when they're standing yards from each other?
  9. On a similar note, my mate was housitting for his cousin and as any good housesitter he had a party. His cousins kids had alphabet magnets on the fridge, so I spelt out 'Pissflaps' in a rather drunken childish moment. Unfortunately, my mate failed to notice before his cousin came back...
  10. As long as you had a good time that's all that counts. I say this about him, the Libertines were canny imo, but I've alwas thought Babyshambles are a smack induced noise. Bowie and Lou Reed are two examples of artists who produced their best work whilst off their tits, as soon as they cleaned up they didn't produce anything near that quality. Doherty however is the opposite. Let's hope cleaning up hleps him produce some quality for his fans. However, he is NOT some sort of genius whatever the NME write. His writing is no better or worse than a lot of songwriters, it's just he makes for more amusing press.
  11. Yep, it's not an NUFC player. In fact, I'm a bit surprised at who it allegedly is.
  12. I agree, I noticed the front page of the Daily Mail was focussed yesterday on his son and how he'd contributed to Ronnie's death. What an uncalled for load of shite. I usually let things like this go over my head, but I thought it was a disgrace personally.
  13. Oh aye, the point was he dropped 6 in a row. I remember a couple of his one day catches being slightly dodgy like, one of them grounded iirc. He was unlucky in the Ashes with his catching, it was just nice to see him get the monkey off his back and give it a shoeing. Anyway, we still won the Ashes, just thought I'd mention that again...
  14. Would you really class 'breaking into her room and touching her when she's asleep' as 'letting me give her a backrub'?
  15. Having just read the Mirror and put 2+2 together I now fully understand. If this turns out to be one of our lot again I'll be sick as a fucking chip.
  16. Good job Tendulka was knackered like. Anyway, Pietersen took a catch finally. Was surprised to see Muralitharan playing, thought he wasn't going to return to Australia after the 'no-ball' stuff (which by the way I applaud our Aussie cousins for ). Chucker.
  17. Aren't The Subways playing up here this week, in mackemland? Sure they are, then they're on at the Carling Academy next month as well, if you fancy a live wank.
  18. Oh yeah, I'd agree with that, but what I'm saying is that it can also be genetic. People can have a great life, be brought up in excellent circumstances, good education, lots of friends, success etc, but because they have a chemical imbalance they have bouts of depression, brought on by the medical condition rather than the circumstances. Like you say though, most are circumstantial where people reach a point that's difficult to get out of.
  19. You can't miss it, it looks like it's been set on fire.
  20. My money's on FC Thun or whatever you call them. I mean, if Liverpool can win it...
  21. Aye, NOW you want to talk about cricket.
  22. let me remind you, they did not lose out on Owen. They didnt want him as he does not fit the system Rafa prefers. 43203[/snapback] Nope, they wanted him alright.
