  1. I'd snap your hands off for Wood at £25m now btw. Especially with Gordon and Elanga on the wings
  2. Half of their squad play similar positions. Not strikers, not midfielders, somewhere in between Havertz Saka Madueke Eze Trossard Martinelli Nwaneri Jesus Nelson etc.
  3. I'd take Jackson on loan with an option to buy. I'd rather we didn't lumber ourselves with Jackson, Richarlison etc and realise why their current teams want rid. We are also digging our top 6 rivals out of financial holes with either of those deals.
  4. £200k pw apparently. Although he only has 12 months left on his deal so Juve will be looking for a transfer fee
  5. Yep. He's going to Strasbourg on loan, and will then no doubt be at Chelsea in 12 months. Before being sold for £40m to a random European club. Still pisses me off that we don't take advantage of other PIF owned clubs.
  6. I can't see Richarlison being happy about dropping down to Palace
  7. Oh good. We've done well so far in bidding wars with Pedro, Ekitike, Delap, Sesko etc
  8. Aye. Starting a Champions League campaign with our only striker is unthinkable. Mitrovic on a free would be better than that ffs.
  9. FML 😭 I'm starting to worry we may struggle to replace Wilson by the end of the window, let alone Isak.
  10. That's mega bucks for a 29 year old with one year left on his deal and who will be at the AFCON this season. If they say no we need to move on. The only worry is they want to hang on to him they find a replacement (unless we loan them Osula for a season).
  11. At this point I'd take him. But it's mental that Wolves have just signed him for a set fee and we are probably going to have to add 50% of that 2 months later to get him in.
  12. Playing devils advocate, if my boss promised me a new contract, then their replacement reneged, but I then had to watch Gordon, Joelinton, Burn and Schar all sign new contracts last season, I'd be a bit pissed off. It doesn't justify his actions, but the Gordon and Joelinton pay rises probably rubbed salt in his wounds!
  13. We seem to have painted ourselves into a corner now. I don't disagree with it, but I'm not sure what the way out of this is now, unless someone slaps down £150m and we find 2 new strikers in the next 9 days. If he returns to the squad under sufferance the fans are going to crucify him all season, and I can't see Isak being willing to give blood, sweat and tears for his teammates.
  14. This might have already been said, but the wording of the NUFC statement that no one promised him "he could leave the club" is key for me, and pretty much confirms that "broken promise" to Isak was that we would give him a new contract last season. I suspect Isak has announced to the club 2 weeks before the end of the season he wants to leave and won't be signing a new deal. Hence Mitchell getting his marching orders a week later.
  15. Bigger fool Mitchell. I'd bet my mortgage on him suddenly departing NUFC as being linked to the Isak fuck up though
  16. All the rumours suggested the opposite. We were all set to offer him a new deal, then Mitchell decided Isak had 4 years left and should be happy with what he was getting. It's all gone downhill from there.
  17. Really? Willock is injured, so if we loan Miley we are down to 4 CMs for 3 spaces
  18. Like the promise he made when he signed his lucrative contract? Sue the cunt and put him in the reserves for 3 years.
