He served us well, but he was fucking awful as a sub last season. And he was probably our 6th choice CM by the end of the season.

I never said he was dead wood as a senior pro. But if he's not starting every game for QPR in the championship, I'm not sure he's going to fare well in the Champions League.

Realistically, out of the starting XI, there was only GK, CB and RW to upgrade, and we've signed players in all 3 positions. The rest of the upgrades need to be getting rid of the ropey squad players (Longstaff, Targett, Vlachodimos, Ashby, Wilson etc) which is where Wissa, Ramsey etc come in.

I might be wrong, but I suspect we will try to move Willock on, and the Leicester kid still comes in as Longstaff's replacement.

It's not a bad window, but it's not Trafford, Guehi, Paqueta, Mbuemo and Ekitike/Sesko either!

Good player. The Villa forum seem to think £40m is big money for him as he's been off the boil for 2 years. They also think No.8 is his best position, so I assume he is our CM addition for this window.

This latest "leak" works in our favour. The tv and radio pundits are starting to turn on Isak, and it's a simple case of contract law now. His agent has been stupid enough to publicly announce through Ornstein that Isak is going to refuse to play for the club. That leaves NUFC open to seek legal recourse to either withhold his wages or sue him for his transfer valuation surely?

I'm dubious that Ornstein etc are getting paid by agents. But it's a mutually beneficial arrangement. He gets the scoop ahead of other journalists, which then drives clicks to his social media pages. Same with Romano.

Howe needs to call this out in his next press conference. "Journalists" and his agent doing to bidding of cartel clubs. He needs to say he would happily play him in the reserves for 3 seasons, but PSR means we can't afford to replace him unless we sell him. And what's to stop other clubs trying this tactic every window to unsettle players at other clubs.

I don't particularly want him to go, but with Krafth, Tino, Ashby and Sahar all specialist RBs in the squad, I wouldn't be surprised to see us accept a fee for him.

The more I watch videos of this Aghehowa, the more I think buying him for £70m and flogging Isak for £120m+ gets us the better end of the bargain. Edit - Now that Liverpool are down Jota, Diaz and Nunez, they are one or two forwards light, which gives us the upper hand in negotiations. If Ekitike gets injured then they're left playing a winger up front for the next 6 months
