We better have a mint Summer transfer window mind! Wilson and Almiron need replacing and long term replacements for Schar and Pope are needed, at a minimum!

I don't think he owes tax on it as long as he doesn't move back to the UK for a certain period. Edit - He's got to live somewhere else for 5 years or he's liable for tax However, anti-avoidance rules known as the 'temporary non-residence rules' may prevent UK individuals from taking advantage of more beneficial CGT regimes overseas. A person who is treated as temporarily non-resident is subject to tax, on their return to the UK, on certain income and gains accruing, arising or remitted during their period of non-residence, or which would have been attributed to them if they had been resident during that period. These temporary non-residence rules apply where the period for which the taxpayer does not have sole UK residence is “five years or less” – with the effect that an individual will need to be non-UK resident for six complete tax years (if split year treatment is not available) to guarantee that the 'temporary non-residence rules' will not apply. A return to the UK so soon after leaving may result in an unwelcome tax bill on return. -
I mean, they're not. There's some antifa dickheads, but given they aren't literal Nazi's they aren't "as bad as those they oppose"

It wouldn't be a state of the art ground though. It would be the current ground tarted up with another tier on the Gallowgate. How many corporate seats do you think they can add into one extra tier? They are 100% building a new ground with a shitload of corporate seats and bars/restaurants to bring in cash hours before and hours after games. The club have been drip feeding hints for months. You say grounds turnover surprisingly little money, but: Last season (2022/23) Newcastle United banked around £38m (£37.9m) from matchday revenue, it was Man U who were at the very top of the English clubs with matchday revenue for the season of £129m.
-
High Potential and Paradise are both easy watches. Worth a look
-
Aye. Would only make it the 6th biggest ground in the league, and the 8000 extra seats would probably take 100 years to pay off the initial outlay. Time to prepare ourselves for the announcement that we are moving.
-
Yep. No-one has a fucking clue what happened yet, but POTUS has pinned it on the blacks and gays. I hope it's dawning on the moderates who voted for him what they have done.

Saudi club have offered €65m to Brighton for Mitoma and they've said no!
-
I agree we need to keep cover until we get more bodies in, but after Almiron, Longstaff, Targett, Kelly and Trippier, Willock would be the next name on the list of players to be upgraded for me. Id also happily move Barnes on to free up some cash and bring in a younger understudy to Gordon.
-
€75m for Duran when they have Rogers/Watkins is good business and gives them funds to rebuild. I wish we had a player we didn't want that we could sell for mega bucks!
-
They've got his replacement in Duran. Surprised they've turned it down tbh
-
He's 29! They might as well buy Toney back from the Saudi league!
-
Apparently Ratcliffe is paying for the ground and the taxpayers are paying to regenerate the surrounding area. Ratcliffe must have his hooks into the government
-
We could stick Sanusi on the bench if needed
-
Rumours that Leeds re interested in Targett, Everton are interested in Longstaff and Juve are interested in Kelly. Wilson, Lascelles, Ruddy, Gillespie and Lewis all out of contract in the Summer. Could be a decent squad rebuild needed in the Summer.

Btw, they signed him 18months ago for €90m and have been paying him €2m per week. He's played 7 games and scored 1 goal for them in that time -

Sounds like Santos want to sign Neymar from the Saudi league, but the only way they can do it is to accept a buy out from PIF. That would be a canny feeder club for us -
Is cratfywank moaning that the white rapists got longer sentences than the brown rapists?
-
This is Murphy's 7th season at the club and it's only the last 3 months he's managed to play consistently well. We've been here before with Almiron.
-
Given our current league position and proximity to a cup final, I'm still surprised we aren't looking for at least one player that can challenge the first XI and give the squad a bit of a lift in the 2nd half of the season. It's all good keeping our powder dry for the Summer, but if we end up in the Europa conference league I'm not sure Isak will be hanging around to see it
-
I reckon Forest will drop off now. Chelsea have only won 1 of their last 5 too. If we can keep Bournemouth and Villa behind us then the top 5/CL should be doable
-
Aye, the red was less for the trip on the breakaway and more for raking his studs down his ankle on purpose
-
He fucking wants to be. He cost more than Isak!

A lot of people on twitter forgetting how elections work. Comes to something when Farage looks fairly moderate in his opinions compared to the shit Trump/Musk are spouting
-
The far right are enjoying gaslighting everyone atm. Musk knew exactly what he was doing, and knew he could just deny it and fuck all would happen. I'd go so far as to say it was pre-planned. These cunts are still a vocal minority and it's the responsibility of everyone else to call it them out for what they are. The shit being posted on social media about this Welsh born kiddie murderer is fucking mental. 3 kids murdered and the far right have hi-jacked the whole thing to push an anti-immigration and anti-Labour agenda. As he's under 18 he's not eligible for a full life term as it breaches his human rights. Some are arguing we should just remove his human rights, completely oblivious to the fact that the ECHR was brought in post-WW2 precisely to prevent a recurrence of the far right Nazi cunts picking and choosing who has the right to live and die based on their religion or skin colour.
