Transfer window warming up. Bournemouth ageeed a £40mil fee for Evanilson, who could potentially we a better player than Solanke, who they sold for £65mil. Our 3rd bid for Guehi has now formally been rejected apparently. Not sure why there was a delay but we still haven't walked away from the deal

Apparently we had agreed a fee with the club. But because Almiron's requested wages were so high they wanted to drop the fee to £7mil and we pulled the plug

Everyone was in agreement that RCB, RW and CF positions needed strengthening before the Summer. Osula fits the bill for the backup CF, but Schar Isn't getting any younger and we could do with a longer term replacement for him. As for the RW, it's the only position we haven't strengthened since the takeover. Almiron simply isn't good enough, despite working hard and seeming like a good lad. Our attacks consistently break down when the balls gets to him. It's no coincidence that we've been in talks with MLS and Saudi clubs, and I suspect Howe sees the RW as one of the key areas for strengthening.

I don't think it's an overreaction to say that, with 2 days until the season starts, this has been a disappointing window, in terms of both incomings and outgoings. Hall potentially the only player we've signed who would get into our strongest XI, and that deal was agreed 12 months ago.

Wonder how much Stokes got paid to play in the hundred. Missed the first 2 games he was meant to play without explanation. Then in the 3 games he played he batted 0, 2, 2* before retiring with what has now been diagnosed as a torn hamstring. Zero wickets with the ball too!

Great video but lazy AF strip design imo. They could have chucked on a grandad collar or the original adidas logo. As it is, they've chucked adidas stripes on the strip we had 6 years ago. In fact, this version of the strip was closer to the stripe size on the original 95/96 shirt. The stripes on the new one are too thick.

Then if Gordon gets injured you're left with Joelinton or a 17 year old playing the rest of the season on the LW
