US companies tend to be a bit more 'political' than UK companies as they are on the whole more competitive internally. A US colleague will drink with you, laugh with you but is, if on the same level, always competing with you. I was surprised working for the French was no worse than US companies in that respect. However, a frog is less likely to be two-faced with you, if he doesnt like you at work you can tell by the way he spits at you and calls you an English cunt. In my experience (1 v v large super-corporation and the fastest growing company in its sector on the NASDAQ), US colleagues are less trust worthy as they think nothing of adversarial combat at work and fucking people over. I obviously quite enjoy that too but don't be fooled by a superficial uber-politeness, its not a reflection of what they really think. You also get sick of hearing the word 'Opper-toonity'.

Tune. Great lyrics too.

Whenever i see one on a colleague i ask 'where did you get your batman belt?' If they're a total cunt, just ask if they wear their underpants over their trousers at home.

Avoid las ramblas and move straight along to the barrio gothic if you're in that area. La Sagrada is always worth a visit, there's a decent art gallery on the montjuif. Great food and wine to be had all over. Barceloneta restaurant is alright, traditional Spanish by the port. Was there in July with work, walked to Passeig Born after and found a Mojito bar called Miramelindo. Wanted to try some modern Catalan the next night but the place I wanted to go to was fully booked. Went to a place called Divinus just off Passeig de Gracia. Still got a photo of the bottle of wine we had, it was a Pago de Los Capellanes which is a Ribera del Duero. Was a decent price for 6 of us drinking plenty (apart from the Muslim lad) I think it was less than 300 notes. All these places were decent but might not be that exciting if you're looking to enjoy the proper nightlife. Decent nosh, vino and brownie points though.

If anyone fancies one in the bot before the match give us a shout.

I know what Parky's voice sounds like though.

The evangelising in this thread reminds me of a modern review of American Psycho which superbly observed that Bateman's voice is only 'a very small fraction of a degree madder than the average style magazine'.

I hope he does too. Thought he came across as a wanker on MOTD 2, claiming our efforts in the Europa league should not have affected our domestic league form when thats exactly what happened to him in Spain. People tend to forget, despite public personas that top footballers tend to be arrogant cocks. It was the way he said it too, as if Pardew was just some moron and if he was a high intellectual European thinker like him, we would have been fine. He's a far better manager than Pardew from what i've seen but its all been rosy and going in the right direction so far. If Michu's goals dry up they could have a difficult second season. Think he will keep them much further away from the relegation zone than Pardew managed if it does go wrong though.

There are some lovely people in this country

Significant amounts of Basque Y chromosomes across the country according to some genealogical research. http://www.nature.com/news/2003/030616/full/news030616-15.html Been doing a lot of reading around the origins of the welsh recently which is dead interesting if you're into all that. -

By the way that lass from the other year was basically a younger version of Catherine Tate's foul mouthed nan. -
Typical in a posh place that wants you to spend money on drinks. They make a fortune on wine these sort of places. I assume you got a lumpy priced bottle of vino blanco to go with the fish?

Forgotten about that

Didn't you also say one of out goals would be floated to Williamson at the far post? Close!

Killer Joe. A bit mental but decent. -
Bony's first goal, they had to give him a pen to get it.

Lush streams for BT sport by the way, fuck paying them any money. Dummett scores, 'er YES!,,,, er amazing.... well i never....' Sturridge scores 'YYYYEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, 2-2, there it is, SAS, thats what we came to see (jizz flying all over Owen's top lip)' Ginola spot on for the lot of them.
-
Definitely would have won with 11 men. They were shite for supposed title challengers. Ref and BT Sport both completely biased. Unbelievable really but there you go, that wanker sign from Ginola giving us the moral victory.

Had the most ridiculous 3 days. Took the 7am flight to Geneva on monday morning, then drove to Champerey near Chamonix for an off-site team building. Spent most of the afternoon doing a bizarre speed-dating affair then went to an ice-rink to play Curling which was the team-building event. Managed to do my knee in being a flid on the ice. Back to the hotel, dinner and then a free bar and no bar staff, literally no limits drinking. Music system was cracking so someone got some seriously cheesy dance music on the go and the party went on till 4.30am. At one point i was grinding crotches with my boss, who is a very elegant Bulgarian lady. I bailed at 3am as i had to leave the next morning to go to Munich. After 2 nights of less than 5 hours sleep, set off at 9am to Aigle to get a train to the airport, took a delayed flight from Geneva at 2pm, arrived in Munich and went straight to a sales force training meeting where i presented for an hour in front of 80 people. Nailed it. Meetings all morning today and then flew home this evening at 5pm. Completely battered but top bombing.

I'd say you were about average for this forum, which is saying something.
